Rated 2 out of 5 by Noisy hotel; could not sleep Two of the three nights I stayed at this hotel I was only able to sleep 3 to 4 hours due to noise. This was a first for me. The first night I was awakened by guests, and their friends, in an adjoining room who returned at 2AM and were very loud and boisterous. I eventually contacted the front desk at 2:30AM and they sent security to request that the quests be quiet. Security did not confirm that the noise was stopped and the neighboring guests continued the loud activity until after 4:30AM. I never was able to go back to sleep. I requested to be relocated within the hotel the next day, which the hotel accommodated. However, upon returning to the hotel about 10PM for the second night in the new room, loud music with heavy base noise flooded the lobby. A party was going on in a meeting room. When I got to my room, the music and, particularly the base noise, reverberated through the building and my room. I called the front desk to ask when the music was going to stop and was told that the party was a wedding reception that had been contracted to continue until 12AM and that they could not stop the music as a result. I finally went to sleep after midnight and got up for my 4:15AM wake up for an early flight. I did not get much rest in this hotel. April 22, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Birthday Staycation We live in Maryland and this was our first time visiting the Natinal Harbor. The hotel is in a great location and the staff is quite professional and courteous. Our room was clean and the bed did not disaapoint as usual. April 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Was a great Stay We live about an hour away and our family wanted a nice local vacation during my daughter's spring break. The location was extremely convenient, few doors down to great restaurants and stores. Front desk was accomodating and when we asked to replace a broken remote, they did so right away. Restaurant staff was extremely friendly and view was great. Ahmed , the manager, was very friendly and helpful. There was a small sand area for my little one to play in and she loved it. Boat tours are right outside the hotel and we did not go since it was a little cold. April 5, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by If you want to pay for just a view this is the hotel for you This hotel had a great view but that was the only thing it had going for it for the price we paid to stay 2 nights!!!!!!!!!! Hotel is cheaply made (I could hear the crowd in the restaurant area through my ventilation system at times like they were in my room and I was on the 6th floor, it actually woke me from a nape). Room was very small for 234 +tax +parking a night I expect it to be at least better them a low price hotel but was worse than some of lower grade 80 a night hotels!! Only one robe, no bar in room, no ipod dock, couldn't even be padding under carpet!! We will never stay there again and were so disappointed!!!! December 12, 2011

Rated 1 out of 5 by Westin National Harbor-Not up to usual Westin Standards I have never had any issues with a Westin until my stay in National Harbor MD. I was excited at check-in to be told I was UPGRADED to a Harbor View. I go to my room ,the key cards did not work so went back down to get new keys. Back up to room I enter and realize the room is not on the harbor side. I go back downstairs and ask ,"what happened to my harbor view room I was told I was UPGRADED too". I was told by the person that checked me in that I was never told that. I did not argue. To make it worse ,the person at the desk did not realize I was waiting for the elevator when she began to talk about me to a co-worker. Her exact words,"I was not giving that man a harbor view even if he begged." The bigger issue with this hotel is that it is not clean. August 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Service This was an excellent stay at the Westin National Harbor. It was the day of my wedding and after a great reception my wife and I were presented a most ideal room for our special evening. I must give special recognition to Westin staff member Ahmed. He provided the best service experience from a hotel staff member I've ever received from any hotel in my life. His attention to detail and care was flawless and he went the extra mile to ensure our stay would be memorable, from making a dinner reservation on our behalf, to helping us secure transportation from our wedding to the hotel, to something as simple as opening a door. My new wife and I will always look to a Westin and Starwood hotel first in the future because of what Ahmed did for us. May his attitude and work be an example for all of your staff. July 31, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Great shower and view but the smell will send you running We changed our room a couple of times but each room still had an odor. After being in the room for 10-15 min, you get used to it but who knows what you are breathing in! Additionally, we had sub-par customer service. We have stayed at many SPG properties and we've never had any issues. Although we had the above issue our getaway wasn't totally ruined because we had an awesome view of the Potomac and the dual head shower was outstanding! December 31, 2011
