i stayed at the Sheraton Xian the night before, which was a terrible TERRIBLE TERRIBLE experience. To make it worse, the stay was not even recorded in my account. It is too bad to write a review about that Sheraton.
I then called the Westin Front desk and spoke with the Assistant Front Office Manager (Brunk). The way he dealt with guests was so professional, which reminded me a lot of the GM of Shanghai Westin. We had a really nice stay. Everything at the hotel was great ! Bruck is an outstanding manager and should be able to move up ---- We ended up to stay for a few more days. This hotel also has a very unique floor plan and is near other attractions, with a cool night view from the Lounge.

Good location for tourist. lots to see around the hotel area.
Breakfast underground is not a good start for the day, restaurant is very dark.

Rated 1 out of 5 by SPGPGUEST Worst Hotel in my entire SPG experience!
Westin Xi'an is extremely disappointed in the following areas:
1. Facilities Dysfunctional - Aircon was broken, Washroom water problem, telephone broken down, very dark and cold room, etc.
2. Staff team Insufficiency - have to call them 3 times for a simple fix; very impolite staff; no respect to customer at all.
3. Business Unfriendly - Internet extremely slow!
4. Overall Low Comfort Level

Was always warmly treated by hotel staffs. But I think Westin Xi'an need to improve the service quality of the Japanese restaurant including the food itself .

Not easy to get a Taxi. Hotel may consider to have staff assist guests to get a Taxi.
