1. I was given a base room despite my entitlment as SPG Platinum guest. On my request they upgraded me as was required after much hesitation, wasting much time and causing me much inconvenience.
2. I was not provided the Internet password etc. and when I asked for it the lady at service asked me to buy the time in contravention to my entitlements.
3. The experience at Prego last evening was most disappointing. I got a bad prawn which I returned. Much more!

I Was booked in this hotel and my Check in date was 9th Feb 2012 and My credit card was charged for the entire 3 days charges on 6th Feb 12 with out getting my consent.
More over Rs19000.04 was charged twice in to my credit card and even after repeated requests, the DM never bothered to respond.
Third rate and Rude resrvation and front office staff.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and never I have got an upgrade despite being a SPG Gold member. In all instances, the staff tells me the hotel is full, which is not true. I know in few instances, the hotel was 1/2 empyty. I wish they would be honest they don't want to upgrade their guest instead of lying.

The rooms are very comfortable, beds are amazing. I have never slept better!

Due to my SPG syndrome, I have put my parents at a Westin hotel during their holidays for a few days and they loved it. However, this is my first stay at a Westin for myself. All the amenities; comfortable bed, great music selections, Food services from skilled chefs to happy to serve waiters, excellent trainers at Fitness room and infinity pool (if you didn't mind looking at a mini slum on the other side of the river) and exceptionally attentive pool boys will make your stay feel like it's a home away from home. However, I have to say that I am a little disappointed with the reception staffs. I will list why:
1. I presented them with my SPG # (after check in), the staff recognized that I am a Gold member but did not provide anything for my status, regardless that I have already checked in, I did not receive a welcome pack like I was offered at other SPG hotels around the world.
2. The room and amenities are great. The staffs from House Keeping, Dinning Room Services, Fitness/Spa and Pool are all great. They make me feel like I am well taken cared of.
I only have a few things to say about the front of the house staffs (the staffs behind the reception counter). I am not sure if this is the case for everyone, maybe only for guests staying for more than a week, but I was given a preference list to fill out for accommodation during my stay.
I had filled it out and returned it. Only a few of my requirements are met. The ones that were met were consistent like wake up calls.
However, I had inquired about Super Food, I was not cleared on where it was going to be left in room daily (which was the case at the other SPG hotel at Pune). The staff had called the kitchen ( I presumed) and told me a list of fruits that they have, then I was told that they are all available at Buffet. So, what is the point of listing Super food on the preference sheet? And I did not get any super food left for me in my room during my stay. Also, the few other amenities requested were not delivered.
The reception desk provided spotty service. For example, some guests were provided with a guide book of the city and some had to ask for it. Some guests were given access to different level of floors and some weren't even if they came in a same group.
From my observation alone, it seems to be that some receive better service than the others. It could be the cultural differences and that the staffs are curious about them and just trying to learn more about them? Hard to tell...especially when you compare their rooms and your room (cost the same amount)
3. The dinning room at seasonal gets exceptionally busy during weekend due to several private functions, then the always attentive wait staffs of the dinning room are scrambling to set up tables or serve larger parties, you are left alone waiting to get your coffee or tea. It should be organized better by adding more staffs for weekend services.
I would still recommend this hotel however, it should realized that the Pune city is growing at a fast pace, and that there are other great hotels with better amenities. They should realize who the royal customers are and treat how they deserve.

The service is amazing.
I got urgent request so I had to leave India 7 days before my scheduled date.
The staff working in concierge, Satish, even helped me to arrange an inland transportation to ship my stuff to Cochin, and assisted me negotiating with local vendors when I had already checked out the hotel.
Great thanks to Satish and Westin Pune.
I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who is going to visit Pune.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Victor Not the typical Westin experience I had before
Tried to apply my for SPG Platinum Suite Nights but could not do it online when accessing SPG website.
Contacted SPG Online Chat but they could not help too - being naïve, I actually tried 3 times on different days, believing it might be a system issue.
Finally at my third attempt, SPG Online Chat person referred me to Westin Pune. So I wrote an email to get help from Westin Pune.
I was brushed off by Westin even without them understanding my predicament. Finally it was sorted out and I was given an upgrade to a Suite.
On the day of check-in, I was pleasantly surprised to be give a very big room with a balcony, living area, dining area, dressing room etc.
But my happiness did not last long as 2 hours or so later, I received a call informing me that I need to shift to another room because there was some issue with the water supply on the 8th floor. I checked but the water supply seems ok to me. However I still relocated to a smaller room as I did not want to run the risk of having no water.
To date I still do not know the real reason of the need to relocate to another room but I do know that someone else check-in into that room after I shifted.
Not sure what to deduce out of this experience.

This is a great hotel..... however .... the insulation is so bad that you can't avoid hearing the "boom - boom" from the bar below.... as a gold member it would have been good to have been upgraded to a higher floor away from the noise.... Not sure if I will stay next time just because of this one (important) issue: peace and quiet...

The hotel is quite good overall but like most hotels I stayed at in India, the level of cleanliness needs to be improved especially in the bathroom. Even after housekeeping has done the room, there is dust on all the furniture.
Another annoying matter is that the hotel does not allow rickshaws to drop off guests at the main entrance and insist on having them go to the basement entrance! How rude!
Internet is not complimentary and charges are ridiculous. All hotels around the world have started providing comp Wi-Fi so maybe India should catch up to trends that are important to guests.

The Hotel is not too far from the Airport. The rooms are clean and most importantly the staffs at the hotel are great. The first room given was noisy and the lock on the bathroom was broken, once the staff was notified of the matter it was fixed and an up-grade of the room was done.
I am glad that I am an SPG member as the service in the hotel was good but I think being a SPG member the service provided was at a different level. I would recommend the hotel for the following reason.
- Good food
- Good location
- Great staff
- Being a SPG member your treated like a ROCK STAR!

Quick check in and check out with a professional attitude. The services at breakfast and buffet dinner are also on the high side and the food grate too.
The rooms have a high standard and comfortable bed.
I can definitely recommend this hotel.

I was staying at the penthouse suite. The suite is definitely spacious with a great terrace. However does not have the luxury of being a 'Westin" suite. The penthouse suite has the same services rendered as a club room or other suite; there has to be differentiated service and appointed luxury. Not at all impressed with the quality of furniture and fixtures and bath amenities in a penthouse suite. Well you cant call the quality of towels, bath amenities as provided in the suite 'heavenly'.
I was surprised to find the lack of a bidet and or hose in the commode section especially in India.
The express service confused me apart from room service and at this point put on record Pratibha a service agent who was very proactive the rest would always connect me to desk I wanted to speak with. I rather then speak to concierge or travel desk directly why call Express Service.
The stay ambassador concept is nice and I loved the efforts Ketki put in for me.

Very good experience at this hotel in all aspects - facilities, hospitality, responsiveness of staff, food quality etc.
The only glitch I had (shared by many guestes who I spoke to) was the electronic repeatedly failed and I had to go down to reception to get it activated. after the third time I was not happy.

The hotel have really nice rooms and a relaxing atmospher both in the reception area as well as by the pool area. The pool area are really nice with a good poolside for a hotel located in the city.

I had some very good experiences with the Westin Pune Koregaon Park during my stay from march till October 2013. Being in a great hotel for such a long time, makes you feel somewhat accustomed to all the services provided. Room and leisure accommodation are definitely meeting expectations and sweeten the stay tremendously. Personal attendance from all staff members is genuine and their warm welcome really made me feel at home.

Overall stay in the hotel was awesome. Staff was polite, courteous and always ready to serve.
Room was spacious and comfy. Excellent bathroom, and all basic things required were available in the room or through their room service.
Good variety of food was available in the restaurant. We had buffet in our package, and there was ample variety to satisfy your hunger. I personally found the cake/pastry section the best.
Would love to visit again, with family this time.

Variety of food and a great breakfast, great shower, super comfortable beds, big screen television, beautiful riverside view from hotel bar, attractive and relaxed ambience. Q-Bar was awesome although they should have a provision to charge on room for snacks and drinks. I faced one power cut in my room which was quickly serviced though. One suggestion - dental kit should be available in bathroom by default instead of being provided on demand.

This was my first time in Pune. I was pleasantly surprised by a very clean new hotel. The room was spacious and pleasant. There was a nice variety of restaurants. The executive lounge and the beautiful deck with the a view of the river was superb. I would stay again.

Whenever I enter the spa-facilities at the Westin Pune, I find the steam room as well as the sauna cold and dry. Not very inviting to guests! At my last stay I waited 20min for the steam room to reach a proper atmosphere to relax. Those spa-units are part of the locker rooms which makes it impossible to relax after a sauna- or steam turn, since there are no relax-chairs at all due to a lag of space. Not comfortable at all. The bathroom this time was full of hair from the previous person - something am not used to when I stay at Westin Pune since there was never any discrepancies in cleanlyness. Overall - the staff is phantastic, the rooms (apart fr the bathroom-experience this time) are stunning and the hotel all in all will for sure one of the best ones I have ever been, if there are some improvements in issues mentioned above.

My stay was very decent, but most important around my checkout i had a list of requests which i conveyed to Mr Satish from concierge, he like a rock star got everything done for me even after i left puna. I am writting this review mainly to thank the concierge and Mr satish. Thank you looking forward to next time.

My stays at the Westin Pune India have been pure perfection. The service provided from everyone from the doorman to the front desk to the restaurant to the housekeeping staff and management was impeccable. From the 2nd day of arrival, everyone was calling me by name. Extremly impressive! Every little detail and nuance was seen to with utmost care and I felt like royalty while there. By the time I left, I felt like family. Thank you for everything. I look forward to my next stay.

I stayed with Westin for 5 days. I lived on the 5th floor. Every evening there was really loud msic comming from the bar on the 2nd floor. Especially Thursday and Friday it went on until after 2 o'clock in the night. This is unacceptable, when you want to have a good night rest, before a hard working day. i cannot recommend the Hotel, before they are in control of this. The rest of the facilities was excellent!

Had gone to Pune to attend a meeting. The Westin's location was perfect-although being in the city, one does not feel claustrophobic like regular city hotels. Located on the banks of the river, this hotel has easy access to any part of the city. The rooms are spacious, fresh and clean. Breakfast experience is good as is the service. Great bar with indoor and outdoor options. On the whole, an excellent place to stay at for both business or leisure.
