Rated 4 out of 5 by Westin Pune Stay I had some very good experiences with the Westin Pune Koregaon Park during my stay from march till October 2013. Being in a great hotel for such a long time, makes you feel somewhat accustomed to all the services provided. Room and leisure accommodation are definitely meeting expectations and sweeten the stay tremendously. Personal attendance from all staff members is genuine and their warm welcome really made me feel at home. October 22, 2013

My stay was very decent, but most important around my checkout i had a list of requests which i conveyed to Mr Satish from concierge, he like a rock star got everything done for me even after i left puna. Rated 3 out of 5 by Not the typical Westin experience I had before Tried to apply my for SPG Platinum Suite Nights but could not do it online when accessing SPG website. Contacted SPG Online Chat but they could not help too - being naïve, I actually tried 3 times on different days, believing it might be a system issue. Finally at my third attempt, SPG Online Chat person referred me to Westin Pune. So I wrote an email to get help from Westin Pune. I was brushed off by Westin even without them understanding my predicament. Finally it was sorted out and I was given an upgrade to a Suite. On the day of check-in, I was pleasantly surprised to be give a very big room with a balcony, living area, dining area, dressing room etc. But my happiness did not last long as 2 hours or so later, I received a call informing me that I need to shift to another room because there was some issue with the water supply on the 8th floor. I checked but the water supply seems ok to me. However I still relocated to a smaller room as I did not want to run the risk of having no water. To date I still do not know the real reason of the need to relocate to another room but I do know that someone else check-in into that room after I shifted. Not sure what to deduce out of this experience. October 18, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel has great facilities Variety of food and a great breakfast, great shower, super comfortable beds, big screen television, beautiful riverside view from hotel bar, attractive and relaxed ambience. Q-Bar was awesome although they should have a provision to charge on room for snacks and drinks. I faced one power cut in my room which was quickly serviced though. One suggestion - dental kit should be available in bathroom by default instead of being provided on demand. October 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by An awesome experience Overall stay in the hotel was awesome. Staff was polite, courteous and always ready to serve. Room was spacious and comfy. Excellent bathroom, and all basic things required were available in the room or through their room service. Good variety of food was available in the restaurant. We had buffet in our package, and there was ample variety to satisfy your hunger. I personally found the cake/pastry section the best. Would love to visit again, with family this time. Rated 4 out of 5 by Too much noise from the music in the bar! I stayed with Westin for 5 days. I lived on the 5th floor. Every evening there was really loud msic comming from the bar on the 2nd floor. Especially Thursday and Friday it went on until after 2 o'clock in the night. This is unacceptable, when you want to have a good night rest, before a hard working day. i cannot recommend the Hotel, before they are in control of this. The rest of the facilities was excellent! Rated 4 out of 5 by plus and minus Whenever I enter the spa-facilities at the Westin Pune, I find the steam room as well as the sauna cold and dry. Not very inviting to guests! At my last stay I waited 20min for the steam room to reach a proper atmosphere to relax. Those spa-units are part of the locker rooms which makes it impossible to relax after a sauna- or steam turn, since there are no relax-chairs at all due to a lag of space. Not comfortable at all. The bathroom this time was full of hair from the previous person - something am not used to when I stay at Westin Pune since there was never any discrepancies in cleanlyness. Overall - the staff is phantastic, the rooms (apart fr the bathroom-experience this time) are stunning and the hotel all in all will for sure one of the best ones I have ever been, if there are some improvements in issues mentioned above. Special mention goes to Mr Elton Gomes from the Westin Club Lounge. He was very attentive to my needs even to the extent of remembering how I liked my coffee and my eggs done every morning. Rated 2 out of 5 by The staff has very low regards for Indian Guests I have stayed @ Westin Pune multiple times. Every time the staff at the property make me feel I am a novice traveler and Westin is beyond what I deserve. It was quite difficult to wipe off from my memory, but I bravely decided to try them again this time. And I confirm it has gotten only worse. Below are instances from this visit where I felt belittled…. 1. Check-in: SPG Platinum members are entitled to Suite Upgrade subject to availability. I asked the front desk at the time of check in, if I got a nice room and response was “You got a great upgrade”. To my surprise, I got a Standard room albeit on Executive Floor. An upgrade indeed, but nowhere close to a Suite. I called the Front desk to enquire about Suite availability and I got multiple excuses, but was evident there is a Junior Suite available which they refused to give me. I went online and confirmed availability of the Junior Suite room for the duration of my stay. It annoys me much when staff blatantly disregards a guest’s intelligence 2. Westin Workout: I was at the Workout area for 30 minutes during my stay. I noticed the attendant walk up to other Non-Indian guest and check on them once in a while or assist when then 1st walked in. The attendant did not talk or check on me even once. I really do not expect personal attention in the gym, but found it disturbing I was meted out little or no friendliness. 3. Westin Pool: I was in the pool for 30 minutes, no one cared to drop a bath towel while I was there whole time. I ended up walking into the Gym area wet. I expected at least some bath towels placed around the pool which I could help myself to. 4. Concierge: I asked for a Hotel Car drop to my work place. They arranged for a base category car even without asking what category I would prefer. Surprised they assumed I don’t need any other category. Or may be because I am an Indian. Read this… I heard the Concierge offer different car categories to a Non-Indian . August 3, 2013

Hotel is clean, service is great and staff very accommodating. They have great restaurants which I enjoyed and SPA is excellent. April 13, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Too noisy I have a room on the front of the hotel that overlooks the lobby reception area. Unfortunately it also overlooks the outside bar, the management of the hotel think that it is a good idea to have very loud music being played in the outside area till very late at night. I have been offered another room, but the question is why should I have to move rooms? I cannot understand how a hotel manager would sanction such loud music that I'd obviously going to upset many guests, which leads me to question the management of the hotel in all areas. Surely the fundamental function of a hotel is to provide somewhere for people to sleep and if the hotel itself is preventing this from happening then you have to question the management. I will not be coming back to this hotel and would also recommend that others don't either April 11, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Changed SPG gold benefits Stayed at this hotel 4 times last year (2012) and this was my first trip from the US for 2013 to this hotel in Pune, India. I expected the same benefits. I had been given access to the club room for breakfast and drinks and was told this time that gold no longer allows this. The service in the club floor is much higher than that the average service in the regular breakfast area. Being there for almost two weeks it was disappointing to lose this benefit. For someone who is used to these benefits at this hotel, having it taken away without warning was a huge disappointment. March 18, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by No value of being an SPG Platinum This is the second time I have had the same experience at this hotel. I booked this over a week ago. When I checked in the staff was unaware I was a Platinum preferred guest. When I pointed it out they said I could use the lounge. I then was upgraded to an Executive room. When I asked whether the policy was not to upgrade to a suite they said no suite was available. Given I have had the exact same experience before at the same hotel I can only imagine that Platinum Preferred doesn't mean much at Westin Pune. Very disappointed. February 28, 2013
