Primarily a business hotel near the convention center, this stunning newer Westin property in Guadalajara offered us wonderful Platinum recognition and a sumptuous 2-room, 2-bath upgrade on a high floor with a walk in shower boasting a view over all of Guadalajara. Platinum breakfast was an amazing buffet featuring fresh berries and organic juices & smoothies. Dinner also delicious! Staff/Service was awesome. Special note to our concierge, Diego, who was one of the best we've EVER worked with. He went out of his way on his personal time to get us event tickets. Nothing was a bother for Diego - we love him! Doing a happy dance for Westin Guadalajara. Only small wish would be for a swimming pool. Otherwise - rock solid "A" grade all the way.

I liked the hotel, the rooms are great and the staff at the Reception was nice. I only had one thing to complain about the room, the TV remote does not work as it is from a Blue ray. What I found very disappointing was the Restaurant, when I arrived there were absolutely no clean tables and no one approach to me to help me, so I had to ask for a table. I went to the buffet area and some of the most looked after meals were all gone (it was 7:30 am). When I was finally eating a waiter started to fix my table so it would be ready for other customers, I found that offensive, since I was still seated there.

I stayed at the Guadalajara Westin Hotel for ten days on a business trip in early December 2014. I fell into this reservation by accident and am very glad I stayed!
I found the staff to be very professional, helpful, and cordial.
I dined at the restaurant every day for breakfast and dinner simply because the food was delicious and the service excellent! What the menu lacked in variety, the food more than made up for in presentation and taste. The Tuna Tartar is a MUST try!
The hotel lacked a pool and hot tub, but the fitness room was clean with modern and clean equipment.
The lounge off of the lobby was spacious with plenty of room for business or casual conversation and a spacious outdoor area with a water feature that was relaxing and cut down the noise of the city. The business level has several private rooms available for your more private business meetings if needed as well.
The proximity of the Expo (across the street) and the Hilton (next door) made the hotel an excellent place to conduct business, or to relax and unwind at the end of one's day.
The hotel is centrally located making just about every destination (restaurants, museums, shopping, etc.) a short cab ride away.

the staff at reception is awful, they all look mad and upset, and when you ask for something they seem to have a problem. Even at check out I still have to handle with the troubles. The promise to send me my invoice and after 3 days, they have not send it. On top of that and once I called them they asked me to send information such as tax ID that already had, my company is a regular customer of that hotel. Esmeralda.Lopez@westin.com wasnot helpful at all. all other services such as valet parking and restaurant are very nice friendly staff. front desk should learn from them. thank you.

From our arrival to departure we felt like we were in the best that Guadalajara had to offer. The staff was more than accommodating concerning anything we needed to make our stay wonderful and relaxing. The heavenly bed WAS heavenly, my wife and I are very picky concerning our sleep when we travel. The room was up to date with the most modern of features and conveniences. The city view was incredible! The food was very good and everyone knew your name and made us feel special. Room service was excellent and not too pricy. We just loved our stay. Thank you to everyone we met.

Rated 4 out of 5 by WC818 Toilet keeps making noise once in a while
I informed main desk on this problem but was not really fixed. Had to close bathroom door to keep noise down.
Also, I gave front desk my spg gold number but somehow it was never recorded (I double checked at checkout and they have no record of my number) I have never offer room upgrade at check in (I thought it was one of benefit of spg gold)
