Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Getaway The westin in nusa dua is a nice hotel. They take care of SPG members exceptionally well. Our upgraded room was a suite, and was nothing but wornderful. Modern bali design, hardwood floors, 3 rooms, 1.5 baths, and a big balcony. What more could you ask for. Location, its close to the airport which is nice. Its located within an enclave of many other resorts and hotels separate from proper local bali neigborhoods. You are about a 10 minute walk to local markets, food, etc. The two pools are a few steps away and quite nice. The slide is fun for all ages. The beach is a few steps further. The westin beach shares beaches along with many other major hotels in nusa dua. One next to each other. Overall low key, nice view, calm water (lots of seaweed and shallow water) Overall a nice getaway.. February 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful stay at the Westin, Bali This March, me and my wife have been to Bali for the first time. Right from the start we experienced the warm and friendly welcome and service of your house. The awesome food, the very comfortable rooms and the recently opened Heavenly Spa made our stay a real pleasure. We will highly recommend your house and plan to be back next year. April 1, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by room needs improvement not up to SPG standard The initial room that was assigned to me was very noisy. you can hear people's foot steps walking and talking outside in the hall. This is supposed to be a 4 or 5 star hotel in Nusa Dua - Bali and yet the wall / door has very poor sound proofing. The staff were friendly. The food at the Japanese restaurant is below average. I was awaken at 5:30 am by the sudden ring tone from the phone and it did the same again about 20 minutes later. February 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This a a fantastic Hotel I have stayed The Westin Nusa Dua on three occasions and it always exceeds my expectations. I find no matter where in the hotel I am greeted with very cheerful and friendly staff always willing to help. The rooms are very modern, comfortable and clean. The hotel food if in the restaurants or poolside has always been very good. The Japanese restaurant is probably one of the best I have visited. We stay here with the family and grandchildren and hate when we have to leave. We will be back. July 23, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Hotel Perfect, Seawater horrible One of the main reasons that guests are choosing one seaside hotel for their holidays is to enjoy the beach and the seawater. It has been very disappointing to see that the front seawater is in one bay invaded by algae then dirty and not usable for swimming, even not for walking in. This main negative point is nullifying the meaning to come to your hotel for next time vacation. Just referring to the hotel we can say without doubts that we had a very good experience and confortable time. April 12, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Zero Platinum recognition at this hotel Immediately at check-in I was deflated when I was informed there would be no room upgrade, not even for a loyal Platinum member. Instead we were given a tiny room which frankly seemed rather drab and dated. Also at check-in I was informed there were no longer a Platinum club lounge and no happy hour cocktails of an evening. Having stayed at this hotel on several previous occasions it basically became a barrage of things that they don’t do anymore rather than what they will or can do. I was informed that instead of accruing my reward points I would have to supplement those points for breakfast instead… basically, I was receiving nothing but bad news which is hardly what you want as you commence your vacation. All of the gazebo’s and beds on the beach all come at an additional cost, even poolside these so called ‘dream beds’ are required to be paid for despite the fact that all they are is a lounger with a roof. It just gives the impression that the hotel is trying to take you for more and more money all the time which is a shame. One area of the pool that we sat at had an abundance of small flies hovering around constantly. In the end we had to move to another part of the pool, which seemed to alleviate the problem. Whilst dining at the Hamabe Japanese restaurant I did find it quite hard to get the waiters attention on several occasions and yet as the evening wore on and we were still dining I got the distinct impression that the staff wanted us to leave as they all commenced lining up near our table at the exit as if to be ushering us to finish more quickly which was rather annoying. All in all I would say our visit was ‘adequate’ and despite all the staff being very friendly as you would expect I have to report that the hotel has deteriorated over the last few years. Most importantly the level of SPG Platinum recognition is severely lacking at this Starwood property and consequently it diminished our overall experience and we chose to move onto the other vast array of Starwood collection alternative hotels within the Bali area. Rated 1 out of 5 by Outstanding Experince My wife and I staying in Westin Bali to celebrate my birthday and our wedding anniversary. We arrived last night, It was an all-round outstanding experience. We enjoyed special attention from the staff, who went all out to deliver the birthday cake to me, ensure that we had memorable and special time. Over all, the facilities were outstanding, the room was well furnished, and we felt totally relaxed and pampered so far, we are sure we will enjoy next couple days at Westin as well. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great food value for money Great staff. Very helpful and attentive. The $ 10 per child policy is great. Good kids club. April 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Bliss My wife and I stayed here after spending a couple of days in Ubud. This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. The rooms are very nice, on the smaller side for a hotel in this class but very clean and comfortable. The butler service is great. We tried the massage at the spa and dinner at one of the restaurants, both were fabulous! If I were to be extremely picky then I would say that some of the areas surrounding the pools were a bit run down, which was a strange to see. December 7, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Service However Governance need to be Improved I have a wonderful stay in Westin Nusa Dua during the whole period of my stay. It will be another great experience should free wifi was provided in all hotel properties. Nevertheless, I believe hotels in SPG groups has to work out on governance related to billing as I face another overcharge on Westin Nusa Dua which similar situation with over charge on my breakfast in Westin Palace Milan. Two occurence of miss-charging at almost the same time is not acceptable and weird. July 17, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Family Vacation We staid for a 3 weeks 3 generations summer vacation, me, my wife, our 2 boys, and their grandfather. Although all three generations had different interests, and a different day schedule, we all found full regeneration, and never were bored. Actually, all 5 of us felt that this was the best vacation ever. A stunning sunrise at the Hotel's beach, great breakfast, superb and clean beach, excellent food, at moderate prices. Great Staff, very personal attention to our needs. August 26, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Splendid The Deluxe room is a little small, however this doesn't impact on you too much when you are mostly enjoying outings/beach/pool. The breakfast array of food is first class & by lunch time a small nibble with a cup of coffee is all that is required. My kids were well catered for with the kids club and the front reception staff will even charge your taxi fares to your room. Tika the guest experience agent was extremely helpful & ensured our needs had been catered for. October 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good stay and great security It was a great stay at Westin Nusa Dua, Bali for my wife and 12 year old son. Everything was perfect and the breakfast has lots of variety with great food and juices of numerous varieties. Room needs improvement as there were still sands left behind on the floor. My wife did not have a good sleep as she had bad dreams during her stay. We believe this was due to her low energy and chi and she just started a new job and career, hence the "not so good feeling and unseen beings" may have been able to influence her in some way or another. Other than my wife's episode of bad dreams and not enough of quality sleep in the heavenly bed, our trip was wonderful and Bali is a beautiful island with beautiful smiling people and I will return definitely to Bali and Westin, but maybe not at the same room (if you get what I mean? ha ha ha...). Rated 5 out of 5 by Well-thought out 5 star hotel Was a girls' trip and Westin really made our stay comfortable. Service staff are excellent. I love the yoga morning class. The interior design of Westin has Japanese influence and is very pleasing to the eye. April 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Don't think twice, just book it! This Hotel is great! The room was comfortable and beautiful! The area is amazing, the beach is perfect! The staff? More friendly impossibel! We just loved it! We will be back when it is possible! Thank you for the amazing experience. *The only tip that we have: Westin should have more friendly beach appetizers (like small portions of seafood and finger foods). We went to the Chess restaurant and loved the appetizers there and wish they were at Westin's . :) October 31, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Special people We are coming to the end of our stay in nusa dua sadly. The staff at the hotel have been so friendly and welcoming it has made our stay special. Our first visit to Bali and we are coming back next year to stay once again at the westin. The hotel facilities are exceptional, even on the very busy days there was always a smile and welcome to you. Special praise to the Kites bar staff and Rosa who kept us informed on what events where taking place. November 27, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Attentive and helpful hotel staff Good points: helpful and attentive staff. Special mention and thanks to Lindsey (who helped me with Wifi) and your Duty Manager (who came personally to see me re: an enquiry I made). The Kids Club was great. Not so good points: My booking was for 2 adults and 2 children but we were given 1 King bed - we would have preferred to have 2 large twin beds. Breakfast was good but it was the same (i.e. not much variety) for all 4 days that we were there. November 30, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very Poor Customer Service 1- Booked on-line at Westin web-site a Room with Garden view and in New Renovated building , were assigned a room on 5 th floor with an EXTRA 3 rd Bed. We were on our Honey moon, so not sure , how Westin team placed a 3 rd Bed for a child !! 2- Duty manager had a conversation & resolved the problem , after 1 hour , we came to Westin Nusa Dua for 16 hours only, so it was not a productive use of our time !! or waste of time would be appropraite . April 30, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for kids!! We stayed four nights with our two kids. The hotel is well equipped for children. Staff is friendly and the beach is wonderful. Room service could be better in response time. April 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by All people concerned, thank you. This Bali visit is the second since January, 2010. The stay hotel at that days was the same The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, too. I came over after I told the impression at that days to a friend to check it. Not to mention the splendor of the location, I thank for a smile of the staff of the hotel and kind hospitality. If I have a chance, I want to use The Westin Resort Nusa Dua hotel again. I thank all of relations once again. Thank you. November 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by I like this hotel Our stay was excellent we had a great time thank u April 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Clean but room was quite small In general, it was alright. Concierge and all staff are friendly. Room condition was clean, too. We had buffet breakfast for 5 days, but it was noisy and crowded all the time. Also, room condition was good but quite small. I'm planning to go to Nusa Dua again, and I will stay another place. Good for family but not good for couples, I guess. ;) March 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Relaxation at its finest This hotel at this location is extremely pleasurable. The setting is remarkable, the overall presentation of the property, attention to detail and staff friendliness and attention to one's needs is the best. March 31, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Experience This is my first time to Bali and I am glad I have chosen to stay here. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The comfortable room enabled me to have a good rest every night. The highlight here was lunching at the Ikan restaurant next to the beach --- good food with a fantastic view! I would definitely recommend this place! March 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Experience I was at this hotel for a recent conference. The rooms are spectacular, the food is great, and best of all is the wonderful personality of the staff. I have never been treated with such kindness at a hotel. Always a smile and an offer to do something for you. And when you give them a compliment or a tip, the gratitude is just poured out. Even though I was there for a conference, the relaxing peaceful atmosphere made it quite enjoyable. September 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Help only a question away We chose to stay at the westin, as our first family holiday overseas with 2 young children aged 1 & 3yrs because we knew that it's worth paying alittle more for comfort & peace of mind. The staff at your hotel were exceptional, especially as our 1 yr old was extremely sick with a virius on arrival. Within minutes of approaching your staff we had a doctor at our room and antibiotics for our son. Your staff certainly made our holiday! March 5, 2013
