Received warm welcome from the front, nice and clean room. Better to improve the service quality for the breakfast, e.g. the coffice machine is not so easy to use and the staff there are not so active and friendly to help.

I've stayed at the hotel 3 times within 4 months. I got a corporate rate. In the whole world, it's only in China where hotels require you to show company ID for corporate rate. Okay, that is fine. But after the first time staying with the hotel, they have your record. Last time I checked in at 12:30am mid night, and when I was ready to head to my room, front desk asked for my corporate ID?! Why can't they look up my stay record to find my previous corporate rate stay?
Room is nice. But I concur another reviewer. I'm a Platinum, but I didn't get an upgrade, even though the front desk told me I had one. It's just a room facing the river.
Food in the lounge is worrisome to me. I saw the staff wrapping and unwrapping same cold dishes again and again. It looks to me that unfinished cold dishes were being re-served for many days. This really made me uncomfortable to eat cold dishes / desert there. You can't do this at a 5-star hotel!

In the middle of nowhere, next to a mall that closes at 9 pm. No restaurants, bars, venues of any kind you can walk too and even by taxi everything is far away. Staff barely speaks english, breakfast is terrible quality, espresso from home brewing machine, bread non existent, over easy eggs are basically roasted hard, no ice water available, dinner buffet is more about breadth than depth, lots of stuff but quality is poor and poorly served, don't know difference between rare or medium cooked meat, all dessert are dry and not in refrigerator, chairs have high armrests that make eating impossible! Choose chairs without armrest!

I travel in China a great deal for business and have stayed at several Starwood properties. The Westin Fuzhou was excellent and one of the best Hotels that I have stayed at in China. The entire property is new and clean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. MY room was large, fresh and clean, with all the great comfort that I have come to expect from the Starwood brand of hotels. Best of all, I was greeted at check in by a fellow Canadian who is working for the Westin Fuzhou. It was great to talk to someone from Canada and I felt right at home in Fuzhou. Thank you James!!!
I would recommend the Westin Fuzhou Minjiang to everyone and anyone.

I did not get an upgrade for the room as a P member and the staff keep telling me that it is a suite without a living room. How funny is that?
I have requested a King Size Bed room, they have provided me a combination of two single bed! well done!. I have discovered some hairs in bath tub. I have stayed there two nights and the cleaner who clean my room doing a really bad job. Firstly, the cleaner pour the left over tea into the toilet bowl without flushing it. secondly, they didnt dry up the the toilet bowl and when i get into the room has discovered that is wet on the lip. The lounge is not doing a good job. When i went there twice, there is no one at the front desk. The breakfast in lounge is the worst breakfast i ever have under SPG.

I recommend the hotel if you don't use room service and taxi service.
I feel comfort with overall hotel service quality, especially thank duty manager coordination.
but I feel bad on room service and taxi service.
I have no confidence on the hotel's food quality, so bad experience on ordered fresh orange juice. How to describe: first, it's not fresh; second, most orange pomace in cup, more than 70% at least. I never met such worst fresh orange juice in other hotels. I confuse, what's the food quality standard of Westin?
Taxi service experience is bad, one from hotel to downtown at around 9:30pm, one from hotel to airport at around 4:00pm.
I expect hotel MGMT special attention on the two feedback, especially food quality, it's so important to your guest!
