Rated 5 out of 5 by a real nice stay 1. Hotel is clean and is located by the Yangtze River 2. Lounge is located on the 21st floor. Its view is really gorgeous even it was cloudy during my stay. 3. Hotel staff (including concierge) is very friendly and responsive. Apparently, they are improving. 4. Rooms on the 21st floors are nice. They are still not willing to upgrade PM to suite though. Rated 3 out of 5 by Good but bad I stayed in this hotel for 1 night from 24 to 25 April 2015. Overall because the hotel is quite new the facilities and room is beyond my expectation. Location is in the middle of nowhere but is value for price. The only problem is during check in i was waiting for about 20 minutes without being served by any staff. As Platinum member i get upgrade room to Suite and the suite was fantastic. For check in process was okay but took quite long because I booked 2 rooms and one of the room will be smoking room but the staff said no smoking room available, so they agreed that non smoking room can be use for smoking. (I believe this only apply in China). For breakfast was decent and nothing good or bad, but there is no chef standby for egg station. Check out was okay as i am platinum i am eligible for 4pm late check out. May 6, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by 5 star hotel with 1 star service I stayed at the Westin from the 16th of February till the 18th, upon arriving at the hotel my gold status was not recognised until I had pointed it out to the check in staff. Still, no upgrade offered, no late check out offered. There were recent changes to the SPG program which allowed for free internet access to all SPG members from the 2nd of February 2015 but staff refused to accept this and said I had to use my welcome gift to attain internet access. The room itself was spaceous and very nice overall but the air conditioning wasn't working properly in our room and it was very hot. I spoke to the guest relations clerk at the front desk and he said he would send an "engineer" to our room to look into it. 10 minutes later a maid came into our room and opened a window, this was unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. After further complaining they agreed to move us to another room with a working air conditioner. If this solution was offered in the first place I wouldn't be so annoyed but it was insulting for a maid to come into our room and open a window. If this was my first experience at a Westin hotel, I may have never considered staying at another one again. March 8, 2015

Rated 3 out of 5 by Worst Front Desk Reception I've Ever Had I have stayed at this hotel 4 times. It is a gorgeous property that is a bit out of the way but otherwise great. I'm a platinum member and in the 4 times I've stayed I have NEVER been upgraded. Generally I find the staff warm and receptive-until my last stay. I arrived at midnight after a long day and a flight delay. The woman at the front desk was on the phone so I waited. This took about 10 minutes. This isn't great but this I understand. What care next I do not. No hello, no welcome just one word "passport." I obliged. I came with a coworker staying in another room and I had booked both. Again no greeting. She just told me "You get breakfast. Your colleague does not. You get complimentary internet. Your colleague does not. " Then she yelled at one of the other staff and handed me my room card in the purple holder. I said "I'm platinum." She responded "No upgrade. We are full. No upgrade." I never even asked for an upgrade, I just thought she was unaware because of the key card she gave me. Horrible experience! Basic training required, December 8, 2014
