Rated 5 out of 5 by Redeemed my SPG Points for a posh stay I am a gold SPG member and never tried using the SPG Free Nights. Having an opportunity to attend a job interview in Singapore, I decided to book for a night at The Westin Singapore. I stayed with my wife in their Executive Deluxe room. My review is as follows. 1. Location I arrived at night so I didnt get to explore much. Plus I was nursing my fever so safe to say I checked in and let my wife handled everything else. However, the next day I realised the hotel is situated right on top of a modern food court called Food Garden. It is where the bankers and insurance executives hang out (The Westin is on top of the Asia Square where Citibank, Mizuho, etc. are located). I really liked the shops and eateries here. It looked sleek and modern albeit a tad big but despite Singapore's weather, the place is nice for alfresco lunch. There's also a taxi stand nearby so that makes travelling painless. The Westin is about 15mins, traffic free, from the airport. Taxi cost me SGD 22 at night. 2. Reception I was greeted by a nice Malay concierge. He pointed me how to get to the front desk (Level 32). The lift button is hidden in an old cupboard littered with fake drawers with a classic large China plate sitting on top. Really liked the classy yet antique design. Front desk was nice. They quickly addressed my Gold membership and asked questions relevant to the privilege. Everything went smoothly and I was placed at one of the rooms on Level 45 (the Executive Club floor) which happens to be the second highest floor. Checking out was also smooth. They were nice enough to offer bottled water for me and my wife so I could swallow my cocktail of medicine so I could attend my interview without any problems. 3. Room Upon reaching level 45, I can tell the Westin invested a lot in the design and decorations of the corridors of the Executive Club level. The brown and white hues (akin to a cow's fur pattern) made the place looked extra posh. Once I tapped the keycard, i was greeted by an amazingly large and luxurious room. The king size bed with the Heavenly bed was enough to take all your huffs and puffs of the day away. They installed a large three panel windows overseeing JP Morgan and SBF which gives the illusion that the room is larger than it really is. The natural daylight also helps reduce electricity dependence. I liked the Bose sound system, the 48" (or perhaps larger) LED tv, the coffee capsules, and we enjoyed their excellent room service. Their toilet was spacious and generously loaded with amenities. I'd like to point out that the razor was sharp so that's something. Most hotels would leave old razors which go blunt / rusty in time leaving bad shaving experience. My wife and I loved the bathtub by the window. There's also a moving stool. I wonder what that was for. The room is also littered with buttons for ease of the guest when deciding how well lit the room should be. Did I also mention they install a lot of backlit l.e.d. lights in the room and toilet. Loved that too. I just disliked the weird copper art jutting out of the feature wall of the room. That space could have been well served with a large mirror instead. Wifi internet was speedy but i had some issues connecting to the landing page to register my room and password. My advice would be, once connected to the wifi, open your browser and type 4. Meals Room service was fast and food was great particularly the cream of mushroom. I was given the choice to have breakfast at the Executive Club lounge on Level 35 or the main breakfast buffet on Level 32. We chose the latter instead. The restaurant was designed in such a way that you can have an amazing view of the Marina Bay and the Art Science museum. It's all windows everywhere you see. The waiters were attentive and the cooks / chefs were nice to respond to my questions. The choice of food was okay but not up to my expectations. 5. Conclusion As I was quite sick, I did not have the opportunity to do the thing I enjoy the most - trying out the gym and the infinity pool. I will definitely return for a stay and try all the other facilities. September 11, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Service My husband and I were fortunate enough to stay at the Westin Singapore during a recent business trip and on our way to a honeymoon in Thailand. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. Catching public transportation for sightseeing and business travel was extremely easy. Breakfast was great each day and we found the hotel to be a very comfortable example of the Westin brand. Our only criticism was that the shower floor was wrongly angled when built and so the water would run out from under the door (into the bathroom/sink area), rather than toward the drain on the opposite side. One of us would have to plug the door with towels after the other to keep the bathroom from flooding. September 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by great hotel I have to say that I love this hotel. The location is great (very close to the subway). Not to far from the airport. Very close to city center and of course...right next to Lau Pa Sat food center. The room is great. Big and soft bed. I love the bathroom the most (it's HUGE!!). The only downside is the view! I got a seaview room but with the new building under construction is blocking all my seaview!!! July 22, 2016

Pros Good CBD location and close to numerous restaurants Nice outdoor pool - good length for laps and decent view Cook and Brew restaurant has a good selection of beers Good platinum breakfast options Club lounge staff are friendly and helpful. Good for the business traveller Compliments pressing for platinum sis a nice touch Complimentary bus to Marina Bay and Orchard Road on the weekend is useful Cons Average club lounge canapé selections compared to other hotels in Singapore July 3, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Singapore's Central Business District Located in Singapore's CBD, Still seem brand new. Very stingy with upgrades. Even with SNA, lifetime Plat, 75+ nights,weekend stay, etc.. , I was still not approved for a suite upgrade. Basically if you have to stay around the area, then this is your hotel. But if you can pick other locations, there are many better choices at better prices. The area is totally dead during weekends and public holidays. May 31, 2016
