Rated 3 out of 5 Disappointed The only good memories I have from the hotel is new and clean. Other then that, unless I am there for business meeting, I wouldn't pick this hotel for a break/getaway. One thing that I can't accept is we have to pay for parking even though I am a hotel guest. I have stay in Westin in other countries, sad to say, Singapore one is the worse one I have been to. Rated 4 out of 5 by Gd on "hardware" but lack of SPG GOLD recognition The hotel is new and the rooms are pleasant. Most staff are courteous and friendly though attendants at the pool could be more helpful in setting up the pool shades. The most disappointing aspect was the fact that I had to fight for an extended check-out even though I was a SPG GOLD member. This is the 2nd time that it happened to me and both times at Westin Singapore. The receptionist stressed that she can only extend till 2 pm and it was subjected to availability. It wasn't until I asked for the SPG terms and conditions that states (i) 4pm check out (ii) the "subject to availability" clause is for resorts & conf hotels which Westin wasn't that she eventually relented. For a biz traveller like myself, check-out times is one of the reason for choosing a hotel and its on this basis of failing to honour the SPG terms & conditions voluntarily that I am not recommending the hotel to others. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent hotel with great staff This is one of the best Westin that I've stayed at. Rooms are immaculate (and they have rooms with two double beds - which is rare in Singapore). Views are excellent (the hotel rooms start at the 33rd floor). It's located near an MRT station, as well as the recently remodeled Lau Pa Sat food court. One other note about the room. The aircon is completely silent (and very effective). It may seem minor, but if you're a light sleeper who always notices the noisy HVAC systems in other hotels, you'll get a pleasant sleep here. And kudos to the staff - all were professional, and extremely friendly and helpful. July 15, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by If you're an SPG member. Stay elsewhere Hotel is great and new. However as a Platinum member there was hardly any recognition and benefit. I had previously come from the W hotel sentosa cove. To all SPG members coming to Singapore. Your better off staying at the St. Regis or W hotel. SPG members are treated better and almost guaranteed a suit room. If no upgraded room is available- at least you will be recognized and they would do their very best to make your stay the very best. Finally, this hotel is definitely not a family hotel. July 8, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable Bed, Nice City View from Room The thing I love most about the guestroom is the bed. It is extremely comfortable. The thing I dislike about the toilet is the separation of WC and bath area. It is quite a common toilet layout for new 5-star hotel nowadays. But I would prefer that the WC compartment would have hand spray. Hopefully new Westin would include this amenity. The hotel is rather new and polished. The staff is courteous. My first deluxe room was not cold enough when I was covered with blanket even after the air-cond was switched to the lowest degree possible. Requested for a quick repair but the technician required more time to diagnose in the room. Thus requested for a change of room to get rest soonest as it was already midnight. The room changing process was about 15-20mins. It was ok for me. I got confused at the swimming pool area when looking for changing room. There was only one signage that pointed to the front while there was a downward stairs right beside the signage. It was very misleading. The management needs to improve on the directory signage. The gym room provides fantastic cityscape view for the gym goers. The restaurant offers good variety of breakfast buffet. It was satisfying. Keep up the standard ;) July 21, 2014
