The Westin Qingdao is located in the central area of Qingdao. They have opened for few months but generally, the quality is guaranteed. The facility is brand new, the swimming pool is spacious and the accessibility of WIFI is good even at the lobby. Their location is convenience for both business travel as well as leisure trip.
However, due to the construction of subway and they are located in the Hong Kong Middle Road, the environment is not very quiet. And, the choice of restaurant is not much. Hopefully, they can have more choices in future.
As a whole, I still recommend this hotel as their staffs are willing to help and good location as well as strong Internet support are important for business traveler. Also, you can find Starbucks, Pacific Coffee and Pizza Huts,etc within five minutes distance.

I stayed for 5 nights and was very happy with everything in this hotel. Of particular mention is the Staff Responsiveness: the front desk, the gym, lobby . . .
Though the Executive Floor could well do with a slightly better food spread.
The Wagyu Beef burgers I ordered from Room Service was excellent. Cheers!

As a Platinum member traveling around the globe in the past few years - Westing Qingdao has certainly spoiled our stay while we were there throughout mother's day weekend. In addition to the great location and view, incredible personal and friendly services at the lounge of the top floor of Qingdao. They also surprised us with a marvelous mother's day gift. I am glad to have picked Westen instead of the hotel designated by the international conference I was attedning. They really make us feel special.

Been staying regularly in Starwood hotels, but the more westin I stay in, the more I find in common an increasingly deteriorating levels of service compared to other brands in SPG. Perhaps hotel is new and maybe staff still in training phase, but my experience at westin qingdao again demonstrates a total lack of attentiveness to the needs of frequent travellers like myself that I see in westin hotels in china, esp in anticipating what we value. Check-in is esp slow in spite of them already knowing about our arrival. Front desk ended was forgetful and issued additional sets of keys in spite of alrdy giving me one, and just very slow in getting the process over. welcome staff tries too hard to serve that back fired as ended up annoying me. For eg, I insisted that I carry my own luggage, no need for them to bring to room, but they say they will just help bring up to lobby and pass it to me later. That did not happen, and they ended up wanting to send all luggage to one of my other colleagues. The disappointing level of service is also a trend I found in other westins in china including shanghai and tonight again at Fuzhou. Very frustrating and really hotel making efforts in all the wrong areas when all a guest needs when he arrives late is to have a speedy check-in etc.
