Rated 5 out of 5 by SPGME Lovely stay
A beautiful property on the beach. Front desk and concierge were very friendly. We had dinner at the restaurant which was very good. They have a nice breakfast buffet on the weekend. Came to the beach to watch the full moon eclipse but it was unfortunately too cloudy to see anything. My daughter enjoyed her time at the pool. Nice fitness center. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in the area.

Decent hotel, but loud flushing noises day and night ruined the stay for us. Switched room twice, without much difference. Never heard anything like this before. And this is supposed to be a newly built hotel? Yikes. Staying at the top floor did not help, those jet engine toilets could still be heard from below us. Stay away if you are a light sleeper. Those types of toilets belongs on aircrafts, not in hotels.

I stayed there for my wife's 45th birthday in the last week of July and I have been meaning to write this review forever. The Hotel is nicer then the pictures describe it to be, the staff and the service for something so new was better then to be excepted. This Westin will surely be one of top resorts. Everything was amazing I don't even know where to start. I have all ready booked to come back for 5 days in October cause I couldn't stay away. I have been telling everyone about this place. When I arrived at the hotel I was greeted by Michelle (this was her first day as the front desk hotel manager) and it was nice to be greeted that way. She went above and upon during our week stay she is a true asset to your management, Michelle went out during our week stay bought my wife a gift her birthday on her own and surprised her with it. Congratulations to Travis on his new position, and also Trevor who runs the place behind the scene. And Cassandra who I pestered and she had patience with me being a pain from the Bronx. Brittany gave me smile everyday at breakfast at the reserve where the food was always delicious. Where else can you sit on the beach, your terrace, or bedroom window and just watch the dolphins for free when people pay to see this. Westin Jekyll its all included. Congratulations on the opening of a great hotel, keep up the great work. Howard

Rated 5 out of 5 by Auttie Incredible Staff. Incredible Stay.
This is a beautiful property and the staff is wonderful. I almost enjoyed the property better than I did the island! I had an incident where someone wrote in my room number to charge their breakfast. Ms. Griffin in accounting was so helpful and quick to resolve my issue that it is almost not even worth mentioning other than to bring attention to how helpful she was. I will be back every year. Thank you Ms. Griffin, GM and staff!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by FEDS BEST THING ON JEKYLL ISLAND AND THE GOLDEN ISLES
This hotel exemplifies what customer service is all about. There is always a smile from the staff and a willingness to assist anyway they can. As far as the hotel itself goes, its the best of the Golden Isles. I highly recommend it to SPG members and NON-SPG members.

We visited the property for a end of summer weekend getaway with would two girls (12 & 7). The property was nice and the staff was friendy and responsiveness. The island is very scenic and the bike trails and paths are wonderul. Unfortunately the sea water at Jekyll Island is black with churned-up sediment and tannins washed offshore from the swamps and marshes. The sea floor near the shore is muddy, rather than sandy, due to sedimentary deposition from the two large rivers that flow into the ocean nearby. Furthermore, the pool was no larger than a typical backyard pool and was overly crowded due to the undesireable beach and sea water conditions. I contacted the hotel and the SPG Platinum desk to make them aware of our disaapointment and they thanked me for my feedback and for being a loyal Platinum SPG member. If you want to swim and enjoy the beach, do not visit the Westin Jekyll Island

Rated 3 out of 5 by AlfaT No there yet
This hotel's staff are still in a steep learning curve. Check-in and out was bumbled. Food marginal. Service marginal.
A lackluster property. Maybe time, a front cleanup and more experienced staff will help.
