Rated 3 out of 5 by Hotel Stay Have stayed there twice before 2002 & 2004 and it was lovely. This time, room was not ready, did not get soap one day, face cloth next day, coffee maker was broken. Rick's Restaurant, did not get served after waiting for 1 1/2 hours!! Shortage of staff and nobody cares. Spa was closed the day we arrived. March 25, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Stay on the strip Thought I would try this Westin property not on the Las Vegas strip, thought it might be relaxing and quiet. The adult pool was packed with kids. So much for peace and quiet relaxing time. Also there is nothing in the area. Wife tried to use spa, but employee car broke down so could not make it to work? July 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice resort, needs better communication The hotel was beautiful and spacious, we enjoyed our stay overall. I was disappointed however when a hotel flyer said that the pool was open till 10 PM on the weekends but was closed at 8 PM on Sunday as it apparently does not count as the weekend. Needless to say my five-year-old was very disappointed. June 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Details matter The little things in my room were missed. I woke up for an early meeting the first day & found no coffee. There were no water bottles on my third day. The ottoman in the room was so beat up & shabby that I couldn't believe that it was still in circulation. I did find all of the staff very personable. August 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Prospect Thought the grounds were very nice and well kept but the rooms were a little dated and had some small knats dead on my pillows. Otherwise, fairly clean and comfortable. Westin properties are always nice. Staff not the friendliest in the restaurants and slightly understaffed hard to get service. October 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by More drawer space please Had a lot of trouble with our door lock .... every day was at the front desk getting re-keyed or having maintenance coming by. ALSO not enough drawer space for two people when staying a few days. Three drawers .... paaa-lease! On the good side .... bed was very comfy and the shower was great. October 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great place for a quiet getaway! My husband and I stayed here for a weekend to attend a wedding. It was a really nice quiet place with beautiful surroundings, nice pools and a beautiful view of the lake. The staff couldn't of been more friendly or helpful. We also got a great room rate to boot! We got only one cup for coffee or te , one of the rooms didnt have blow dryer Keys had continues problems with acess code we got replacement three times for a one night stay. Rooms one was ready at 5 pm and other at 6 pm , not a westin experience July 29, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Las Vegas Getaway Hotel The resort is about 25-30 minutes from the strip and perfect for getting out of the smokey casinos downtown. The hotel was nice and it has everything you need. The gym facility was not the biggest but it was sufficient enough (there was one bench with dumbbells up to 50 pounds, 4-5 treadmills, and a few machines for upper body and legs). There are two pools along with a slide for the kids. The view from my room was wonderful. The hotel was clean and very comfortable feeling. The only gripe I have was about the business center. I needed to print a paper and there is a $7.50 connection fee + $1.00 to print = $8.50 to print one piece of paper....Oh well, everything else was great. I went to Rick's Cafe - more of a classy sit down casual place - the food was great and service was attentive to needs. Also, they have a little coffee shop type place that is perfect for breakfast or little snacks. Overall, the hotel was a great stay and perfect for those not wanting to stay in a smoke filled casino. I am an SPG Gold member who runs all my business expenses through an SPG Amex for the points, but I am beginning to wonder if it is worth it and I could accure points in another program. I bought my room with partial points and checked in. I don't expect an upgrade all the time, but in a fairly empty hotel I do expect to at least not be in the room next to the elevators. unfortunately this wasn't the case and all night I heard the whoosh and dings and dings of happier customers going to their rooms. Then I paid a "resort fee", which I don't mind if it is worth it. But unfortunately, the "free wifi" didn't actually work and I spent an hour trying to download my email. Finally, I had a room with long hair all over the bathroom floor and inside the tub. Just grim and a fare cry form what I had hoped my loyalty would get me. This my 2nd stay in a row at SPG properties that left something to be desired, and perhaps encouraged me to look for other rewards programs out there. Pretty disappointed. April 11, 2013

The food was good the hotel very quite and relaxing right on Lake Las Vegas and good SPG recognition. One thing that I did not like was the very inexperienced front desk Staff all I can say is that they try hard. August 21, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not what we expected The A/C unit didn't cool the mini suite (HOT)! Carpet was dirty! The Bathroom stunk (SEWER SMELL)! Drywall was missing on corner of one of the walls! TV in the Master Bedroom had terrible picture! Over all not at all what we expected out of a Resort! Let alone a Mini Suite upgrade! May 29, 2013

They are able to cater to the person here to have fun and those who need to focus on work. Never woken up at 2 a.m. and sleep better than I do at home. April 11, 2013

If I have to stay in the Vegas area again I will stay at this hotel.Best part of the stay was the dining room. Hostess and waiter went far beyond their job. August 20, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Service went down the hill Poor customer service with the front desk during check-in and check-out, poor service at the restaurant and the pool staff is the worse. The staff doesn't seem engaged and not motivated to work in this hotel. I used to love this hotel and the staff were so nice and professional. August 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by An Oasis in the middle of the desert Excellent staff, location and ambiance. One disappointment: they need to address patrons who have food allergies, i.e., gluten-free, in their restaurants. They did have a gf muffin on the breakfast menu, but nothing on the dinner. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great ammenities and dog friendly My husband and I brought our 4-legged child Sydney and had a wonderful stay over the Thanksgiving Weekend. Beautiful hotel and wonderful view. We met other dog families who were also impressed by the hotel. The food from room service was great - they even had treats for our dog. November 27, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by Overall Good Experience but Housekeeping Disappointing Let me start by saying that my overall experience with the hotel is good. It’s clean, relaxing and most staff is helpful. There are however some opportunities for improvement. A wash clothes used by the previous guest was left in the room hanging over the shower curtain when I checked in. I talked to front desk twice to have the maid/housekeeping remove it from my room but it was still there after I checked out five days later. They also missed replacing the ice bucket liner everyday I was there even after I made the request. Needless to say, my experience with its housekeeping dept is very disappointing. My only other “bad” experience with any of the staff there is the agent who checked me in. I know there are plenty of rooms but he put me in one that looks out to nothing but concrete ledge. Meanwhile, people who checked in with me at the same time got rooms with beautiful views. He was not very cooperative when I requested to be moved to a different room either. Again this is not the norm, most staff is great. October 14, 2013

Enjoyed dining in the on-site restaurants and after dinner drinks on the patio that had more than adequate seating around the outdoor fireplaces and ponds with fire bowls. Just a really beautiful setting. October 2, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by relaxing stay The facility was terrific. The kayaks and the cabanas were a very nice touch. Having coffee by the fireplace in the am and wine in the pm was very relaxing. The only comment would be the room could have been a bit cleaner (needed vacuuming and there were cobwebs on the lamp). November 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great place to stay. The hotel is beautiful. Very clean. The grounds are well kept. Great service, we had breakfast 2 mornings and the service was exceptional. Very comfortable bed. Enjoyed the outdoor fireplace on a cold December night. We will put this on our list of places we might go back to. December 25, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fun at Lake Las Vegas We had a great time with our three children enjoying the pools, water slide, ping pong tables and beach. Our kids especially enjoyed the movie nights in the pool. There was so much to do and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The kids are already asking to come back. August 14, 2012

On the recommendation of an understanding staff person, we changed our reservations to the Westin and there were 8 very delighted people with what we found. October 21, 2013

It was situated quite remotely, and was therefore not as convenient as I would have preferred, but if your desire is to get away to a quiet, lovely facility, this would be a place to consider. Rated 3 out of 5 by Hotel Experience Hotel lobby was inviting and clean however as soon as we entered the room we noticed chipped and damaged furniture and a stain on the rug. Internet was spotty at best which was very aggravating. Called for extra towels and coffee cups which never arrived September 16, 2013
