Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice to be away from the hectic Strip Everything was great accept the prices at Rick's casual restaurant. Coffee for $7 is ridiculous. The food is good but the prices too high. And there are few places to eat in this location. July 30, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by not yet refurbished Westin just took over this hotel. Decor is dated and not up to Westin standards .Maybe next year. Room and bath amenities were not what I am used to at Westin hotels. The location is good. November 28, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by Expected good customer service for such a beautiful resort I booked this hotel because it was a host hotel for one of my many events. After a long 8+ mile obstacle course I want a hot shower and nice King size bed to rest in (what I booked). I signed in almost 2 hours after check –in and I was told that the resort had no King size beds available and that the cleaning crew was behind schedule. They said I can have a double size bed if I wanted a room right away or wait until a King size is available. They also refused to let me know how long I would wait for the room I booked. Very disappointed and upset I asked several times to be given an estimated time for a wait and the staff refused. I unhappily got a double size bed because I was very tired, hungry and at that point irritated. The last thing I want from a long day is for a hotel to tell me how they are unprepared to meet the needs of their clients because they are sold out last night of King Size beds and their cleaning crew cannot keep up with demand. All I heard was excuses as to why I could not be accommodated and basically I had to deal with it. I expected a lot more for such a beautiful resort. April 8, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Maybe it was just a very busy weekend... Las Vegas was HOT this weekend. That being said, as we pulled up all the bellhops/valets seemed to disappear, the 2 inside were chatting and not in view of outside until they saw me pulling my cart up to registration as my husband parked the car; we chose the Green stay (so we could get 1000 SPG points) and the maid showed up the next morning so we weren't given the 1st voucher (which I had to ask 2x before getting); I asked 2 nights in a row to have the temp in the room lowered so I could sleep comfortably (our room faced west & with temps upwards of 112 daily - I just needed more air circulation/cooler) and the it only was lowered one degree after each request); on our last night as we returned, I requested some toilet paper b/c I forgot when we left - none ever arrived. We weren't in Vegas to celebrate the 4th, we were there b/c my husband's aunt passed away on Tuesday. I didn't think we were asking for much but it seemed like every time we needed to leave or return we had a request that just fell short. Just disappointing. The good things: 3rd night was $10 cheaper and we received a $20 deduction for some reason. July 8, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Quiet and Friendly Hotel was almost 100% booked on arrival so my usual upgrade was delayed a day for our 5 nite stay. Maria, Jennifer, Ashleen, and Elric were most concerned and eager to ensure our satisfaction. Maria in Marrakesh Express is so pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed my several "dessert visits" with her. Morena "tidied our room" well and unobtrusively. All staff encounters were positive. Rick's Cafe is fine though the service level tends to be slow. Not sure if kitchen cannot meet orders promptly or some other reason for delay in getting food. Valets were always attentive and helpful as were the bellmen. Concierge always seemed busy as she was on the phone or looking intently at her computer every time I passed or stopped at the desk. Limited information on immediate area from her. The ongoing changes in this recent Westin resort will eventually result in a smooth running operation one hopes. The staff enthusiasm and energy must be maintained as their energies complement the beauty of the resort and its grounds Once the rooms have attained the total "Westin look" a stay here will be even more comfortable. We look forward to future visits. March 1, 2013
