Multiple issues - Grandmother of bride in wheelchair- requested/confirmed handicapped room ready for 1:00PM checkin..
Not Ready - requested adjoining room for care/monitoring... Put on separate floors - the worst moment - Valet parking could not find our car - 50 minutes - delayed bride walking down the isle until grandmother arrived 20 minutes late.... Staff was unconcerned - apologized for the inconvenience.. Requested a follow up to prevent the same situation happening to another guest - Still waiting..........

We stayed at the Portland Harborview on Friday evening January 3. Staff were outstanding in all respects! We stay at many top hotels and the remodeling of the old Eastland Hotel has been superbly completed.The Top of the East Lounge was a special experience, and what a view!
We cannot say enough about the wonderful hotel staff - they are very professional and extremely well trained. The shuttle service took us to and from the Old Port and to our favorite offsite restaurant for dinner, even with the substantial snowfall Portland received.

I was directed to the Westin as part of a conference. The hotel is nice and it is clean. I felt the forced valet parking for $24/ day was a bit over the top. The window and window ledge were filthy with dirt and water stains from an apparent leak. The HVAC vent blew directly at the head of the bed and was too much. I adjusted it myself. A simple breakfast cost $38.00. I could not believe it cost $10/day for WiFi! Overall it was pretty pretentious. As a public servant, spending tax payers money, I will stay elsewhere next time.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and it has been wonderful. This time it feel short in several ways. We had a room and all we herd was the elevator coming up and down did not sleep well at all. I called down and they had no open rooms. They offered nothing even though I had called. We also had called for the car 25 min in advance and still waited a extra 20 min on top of that. This property was overwhelmed by the amount of people.. Its a wonderful property. I think its having a learning curve.

I was very impressed with the excellent customer service and the ability of all staff to answer questions professionally and with a friendly demeanor. I enjoyed my stay and love the little extras the Westin does. i.e. gave me a map for a 3 mile run and the consierge was very helpful in setting up a day paddleboard trip for me and recommended excellent options for some shopping experiences. The restaurants limited menu was my only negative. Difficult if you aren't a seafoodie in the middle of Lobstah town!

The Westin is a new addition to the Starwwood chain, and is one of the nicest i have stayed at.
I checked in after midnight,and the front desk could not have been more cheerful and helpful for that late hour.
The free shuttle is one of the nicest amenities-by far.
The staff could not be more friendly or helpful, they really go the extra mile.
There are some many to thank ,
especially TYLER the front Desk Supervisor, he goes above and beyond.
They truly recognize your SPG status.
Keep up the great work.

Found the woman at check in to be cold and unfriendly. Was not given 4pm check out. Called ahead and they said they would expedite to have room ready. Said they would call when it was. Never got a call and finally just came back and asked for room after 6pm. Most importantly, took shuttle for dinner. Was promised a ride back that evening. No one showed despite multiple calls. Had to get a red back with staff member from restaurant. Overall, nice property, but was underwhelmed with the experience.

The Westin Portland was extremely helpful and friendly during each interaction. The front desk staff was helpful with restaurant suggestions and with any questions we had about things to do and how to get around Portland.
The front door and valet staff were also very friendly. They always greeted us with a smile. They let us know to expect it to be busy the next day because of three wedding parties leaving. They suggested we send a text for our car 45 minutes in advance. These types of suggestions save a person time and waiting while on vacation.
This is a really nice hotel - well kept and modern. It is conveniently located in Portland as well.
We had a few drinks at the bar and they were really good. The bartender was very friendly.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

I must say that this past week at your property was amazing. Your staff and service was above and beyond all expectations. This property is #1 in my book, by far. I want to thank the entire Staff for such a great time and the outstanding service you provided my wife and I. I will never forget all that eveyone has done, and I will be back for certain. Have stayed here a few times since it re-opened and it only seems to get better. Amazing staff everywhere along with great rooms and amenities. Would not stay anywhere else whenever in the area!

We totally enjoyed our stay with you in Portland, we have to say that your staff were all polite, courteous and very helpful. The area was beautiful and will come again. The only issue we had was that the sign on your building is not nearly visible enough. There should be a sign out on the corner to let folks know when to turn off High Street.

The new Westin in Portland, Maine hasn't found its groove yet. It is well-appointed, but has no personality. It could be anywhere, or any institution including a modern assisted living facility. It doesn't highlight Portland, especially the museum and downtown area. It feels upscale-ish, but is not particularly welcoming. The staff was professional and caring. It's the hotel design /decor that needs to be more inviting. Wifi, local magazines, art, shopping, restaurant info should be offered.

I just can not express how perfect every little thing about the Westin Portland Harborview was. Every single employee we encountered was focused on making our experience exceptional. Our every need was met. I am so happy that our daughter choose the Westin for her family to say. As stressful as the wedding was the staff at the Westin was there to assist not only with a smile but a true desire to make our stay pleasant came through in their attitude. Our entire family thanks you all !!

Enjoyed this hotel with the exception of parking. Should warn incoming guests that the entrance is right on street with only a few spots to pull over car. Easy to miss in the traffic.

The former Eastland hotel was dated and drab. Now it truly reflects a high-end hotel. Top of the East is modern and the staff was plentiful. Bellhops were super helpful with forgotten items in the car as well as phone chargers. Akari experience (blueberry scrub) was to die for. The view of the parking garage left little to be desired but my fault for not upgrading. Check in was a little slow and they were not able to accommodate an early check in. But overall, a wonderful stay.

One of the best stays I have had as an SPG member and I have been a member for about 10 years. I hope they continue doing what they are doing once the "new" of the hotel wears off. Excellent staff, great hotel rooms including suite upgrade. Top of the East bar on the roof has great views. Food at both bars is great. Could improve the signage to locate the bathrooms and the lobby bar/restaurant, but other than that - two big thumbs up. Already booking another stay next month.

Nice place to stay and newly renovated to a luxury Hotel with all of the amenities. The beds are so comfy too .... best night's sleep ever!!!!!
Location, location, location......it's Centrally located to all of the great sights of Downtown Portland.
The old Top of the East is now a great gathering place to just relax and take in the gorgeous views with good food, a glass of wine and all of your friends.

I have to say the service was not good - i called to have somebody bring down my luggage and they never showed up and i had to take everything plus my baby down and load the car myself as there was nobody available to even help me load. On arrival at 6pm, my room wasn't ready and i was asked to wait - again not an easy thing to do with a baby. This is the service after being a platinum member. I can't imagine what it is otherwise.

4 night leisure stay at The Westin Portland Maine Harborview, comfortable facility, all the amenities provided, SPG Green Choice available with points or coupons offered.Within walking distance, if you like to walk, of several restaurants and museums. I bit of a walk to Monument Square and Old Port district but very doable. Shuttle offered. Friendly staff, great menus and service in both the Congress Squared downstairs restaurant and upstairs Top of the East lounge/restaurant. Very helpful front desk personnel. Room was comfortable with spacious bathroom and shower. Rooms could use more drawer space for clothes and the closet set up was very inconvenient for hanging clothes of any amount. Overall a very good modern redo of an old historic building. Kudos to Westin for retaining the flavor and architecture of the city.

The hotel was lovely but I found it to be more expensive than hotels in much larger cities. The price of the room was large enough that I didn't feel the additional hefty fee for parking was warranted and they even charge for wifi (something most places are now offering free). It rained almost the entire time and they had no umbrellas or ponchos to lend and the complimentary shuttle was never actually available. Not planning to return.

We love Westins. It is great to have one in Portland. The staff needs a lot more training. Staff often answered questions with "I don't know." They didn't seem to know information or how to answer questions. They seem satisfied with saying "I don't know" to a guest. Spa was too expensive and treatment not worth the money and food was cold and no salt and pepper provided. Simply things ignored.

Hotel charged more for Harborview. However, this view was so narrow and through another building, that did not think that it was an 'upgrade'. Room not ready until 3:30 p.m. or after, and the staff seemed put off when we inquired at 3 p.m. for our room. Not a great check-in experience.
Restaurant C2 was over-priced.

Aside from all the modern and beautiful touches and interior spaces and design, the staff outdid itself. Everyone was beyond friendly and we felt welcomed in the best way possible. We had a wonderful time in Portland, what a fun city. In addition, my husband and I are vegan and we were accommodated beyond what we have experienced in many other locations. We had some really delicious food and the waitstaff and chef did an outstanding job!

The process from registration to check out was flawless
The pillows were too soft and no exhaust fan in bathroom that could be activated
The climate control was not godd , room was to hot or to cool. When heat comes on cool air blows for a long time. The control mechanism is similar to other chains and those also had similar issue, based upon recent stays
it would be nice to have a coffee cafe in lobby not part of hotel restaurant

We brought our two dogs up for a weekend in Portland. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel itself is as comfortable as I expect from Westin. The staff's accommodation of our dogs was top notch. We'll definitely be back.

Clean, comfortable, well-appointed. Location near lovely West End neighborhood, a bit far from Old Port, but hotel provides free shuttle service. We feel the daily fee for wifi is unseemly for a hotel of this caliber.
Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was excellent, especially the homemade ketchup and blueberry preserves!
Overall a place we would stay at again!

The staff was VERY responsive. Decaf was not resupplied, but when my husband phoned it arrived in 10 minutes. Ditto a bench to hold our suitcases. However, $25 for parking in Maine??? Awful. We parked on the street. And for a complete remodel, the architect missed some basics -- like all the steps it takes to get into the lobby and then up to the elevators. Ramps are hidden -- have to ask to find them. Also awful.

The newly remodeled hotel made my short trip to Portland a special time. The room was beautiful. I'd like to have that bed at home.
The service was excellent. I hope to visit again some time in the future.
