I was directed to the Westin as part of a conference. The hotel is nice and it is clean. I felt the forced valet parking for $24/ day was a bit over the top. The window and window ledge were filthy with dirt and water stains from an apparent leak. The HVAC vent blew directly at the head of the bed and was too much. I adjusted it myself. A simple breakfast cost $38.00. I could not believe it cost $10/day for WiFi! Overall it was pretty pretentious. As a public servant, spending tax payers money, I will stay elsewhere next time.

Aside from all the modern and beautiful touches and interior spaces and design, the staff outdid itself. Everyone was beyond friendly and we felt welcomed in the best way possible. We had a wonderful time in Portland, what a fun city. In addition, my husband and I are vegan and we were accommodated beyond what we have experienced in many other locations. We had some really delicious food and the waitstaff and chef did an outstanding job!

Love the location of this hotel. So happy to see the once Grandness of the Eastland Motor Hotel brought back to life!
Our reservation needed changing and used spg for the original as well as change. Well the hotel was not notified of our change...we were listed as a no show. But handled very graciously at the front desk.had a short wait but was ok and was comped beverages as we waited.
Love the security of needing room key to access the floors.
Top of the East was lovely with excellent staff.
Was a bit disappointed with the room. Seemed to be decor of low spg level hotel? Uncomfortable chairs. Love the bed, as always. For this hotel I would think you would have comfy seating w. Sm. dining table and elegant armoire, and make up vanity. SPG lounge would be nice as well.
C restaurant was excellent...and wait staff could not be better.had lovely breakfast there.
There were several bellman involved with valet. Was confusing who to tip.
So happy to see this hotel 'Grand 'once more.

This was my second stay and the level of service is unmatched. I typically choose Westin over other hotels and this one is exceptional from the valet to the General Manager. Truly helpful, polite staff, and extremely well run with attention to all details. Looking forward to my next visit.

The facility, contained within a historic 15 story brick Portland landmark structure, is new, thoughtfully designed, and well placed for exploring Portland. Most impressive, however, were the young staff. To a person they were thoughtful, well-trained, and seemed empowered and honestly interested in offering us a great experience, whatever it took: the front desk, the parking valets, the room staff, the staff of both the C2 restaurant (excellent breakfast) and the 15th floor bar with a panaramic view of Portland and Casco Bay. As occupancy inevitably increases at this fine hotel, please do not let that service standard slip. We look forward to our next stay.

Hotel was beautiful, clean, great valet and shuttle service options, nice room, and staff were helpful and courteous at every turn. I wish I'd had a chance to try out the workout room or to have the workout equipment in my room but that will be next time!

I booked through Priceline for a girls weekend. I was searching for suites that would accomodate 5 adults. The room description said double room with bedroom with 2 double beds and sleep sofa. When we checked in, the man at the desk said there was only 2 double beds, no sleep sofa so I asked why Priceline let me book this room for 5 adults. He searched his system and found a corner room for us (larger than a regular room) and had a very comfortable roll away bed delivered within minutes. The Westin did everything possible to make our stay wonderful, so I would definitely stay here again but would not book through Priceline.

One night stay with our young daughters and dog. The staff could not have been friendlier or more attentive (including to our dog!). From the backpacks for the girls to the dog bed in our room, the experience was first-rate. Thanks.
