This past weekend we held our daughters wedding at the Westin Downtown. The service we received was beyond our expectations! We had many family members stay at the hotel and did not hear one negative comment! The Yankee Room was perfect for the small wedding. Rita Fox was amazing in meeting our needs and helping us in every way prior and during the wedding day!

This was our wedding night and I requested champagne and strawberries to be delivered to the room at 10pm when I made the reservation. 1 to 2 nights prior to our stay, I called and updated the delivery time to 4pm. Unfortunately, upon checking in around 5pm, the delivery had not been made. It was discovered that the update to 4pm was made in a different screen that the hotel uses, i.e. 4pm on the front desk notes screen and 10pm on the guest services screen. I eventually asked that only the strawberries be sent to the room that evening.

Would recommend this hotel. Very nice and wonderful staff. However, I thought the $26/day Valet parking was a little high especially when we brought 2 cars and spent a nice weekend together. Was kind of a shocker to see almost $120.00 for 2 day parking for 2 cars downtown. Downtown meaning NO ONE was at work and there was plenty of parking had I known or reminded by Valet guys of the double charge. Not knocking the guys, but the hotel policy and not advising and making sure their customers are aware for double charges for EACH car in addition to the charge for 1 at $26/night. For the $200/night stay figured valet was included……. We tipped only because Valet was great not their fault. Valet was almost 1/3 of my 2 night bill. Not one to call and ask for a refund however I hope to help others if they choose this hotel and only be prepared.

Upon arrival I found that there was not a reservation for me that day. Not sure what happened but the hotel was completely full. Melissa Cabrera was working the front desk and went out of her way to insure I had a bed for the night. she smiled the entire time. This is why I stay at the Westin whenever given the chance! That was a special circumstance but everyone I encountered seemed to go out of their way to be accommodating.

I checked in with my Starhot Rate. Initial arrival, no one opens the door while we had our hands full while a bellman and concierge stood by the bell desk chatting. (12pm). Our room was not ready but understandably due to check in time is not until 3 pm. We had our luggages hold at the hotel and went for lunch. I left my Starhot Letter at the desk. Upon returning at around 4pm, the bellman and valets are completely different crews. Four of them open our car doors, concierge and bellman with the widest smiles opening the front doors. When we were in the process of checking in, the lovely front desk agent could not locate the Starhot Letter but insist that I have to reprint the form. I was a bit irritated but she needed to do what she was instructed. However, I did not see the urgency to search for what was given in the morning to the previous team.

We were very happy with our room, nicely decorated and felt larger due to careful furnishings. Dinner was totally above all expectation! Breakfast buffet was quite good, I ordered from the menu and my eggs were crispy and the white was overlooked.I suggest you stick with the buffet. Our stay was 3rd party pay, and the check in staff was undertrained in dealing with this. They were curt and even rude. The other employees were awesome!

My wife and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a safe location and situated amongst a vibrant part of downtown Houston. I will definitely stay again. The staff were always ready to help and shared local knowledge of the downtown area so we could plan our activities. The hotel bar and bartender A+++++ fast and friendly service. Room service and food A++++. One of the best rooms I have stayed in and best experiences!

Total professional staff from the moment we arrived until we departed. We requested suite--placed in corner suite and it was perfectly attended to. We cannot pay enough compliments to the Downtown Westin Houston staff for a job well done in making our weekend visit a wonderful stay. When we come to Houston again for downtown activities, there is no doubt we will choose this hotel as our first choice.

Lovely hotel in downtown Houston. Room design and decor was spacious and comfortable. Staff were attentive and friendly. Restaurant downstairs was quality with quick and attentive service. Could improve a bit on the concierge availability and knowledge. Also encountered a bit of confusion regarding reservations and accommodations but this was quickly and efficiently resolved.
All in all, a wonderful place to stay.

We arrived in Houston to visit a local university. Hotel is not far from Hobby Airport.
The room was extremely clean and well furnished. We had a corner room which overlooked the stadium. Everything was top rate from the beds to the towels, etc,
If our teen decides to go to school here, Westin will be the only place we stay.
We travel frequently. This was a top notch Westin. Front Desk employees were wonderful too!

I was unaware that Westin and taken this property over and remodeled. I was in Houston for a ball game with my grandson and needed to make last minute accommodations. We arrived early and the front desk recommended and arranged a shuttle to the Aquarium until our room was available. Very fine experience and I am reserving a room for a business trip later this month.

Hello, I recently stayed at the Westin Houston Downtown and would recommend the hotel to others. I would especially like to commend the service I received from Sofia in the bar/restaurant. I have specific dietary requirements and Sofia helped me to figure out which menu items I could have. The workout facilities are limited but sufficient. Thank you for your hospitality.

Valet was horrible start to finish. When we arrived valet was under staffed and we waited in line close to 30 min to park. When left the valet lost my keys and I had to wait 20 min for them to find them. Other than the valet service, the rest of the hotel stay was nice. Would be excellent if they could improve valet service.

Check in was delayed due to full capacity the night before and as of 2:00 still couldn't check in. We went to Astro's afternoon game and checked in at 6:30ish and had to wait in long line with other guests that were in the same "boat" as we were. Staff was wonderful and our room was worth the wait. Love the Staff at all Westin locations!!!!!

Nice rooms and public areas and very friendly staff. Only issue was that my wake-up call didn't come (fortunately, I had set the clock alarm as a back-up). Also don't think I received an upgrade as a Platinum member. I would return though if I needed someplace in downtown Houston. It is also very convenient to the Toyota Center.

I had an awesome experience at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and the services were met. I had great room service, shower was amazing, bed was beyond comfortable, and the laundry service was so great.
Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 Great Spot to stay for a ballgame
I loved staying across the street from Minute Maid Park, it was great to see the Astros (complete with their new branding) and be able to walk back to the room easily after the game. The food with room service was also really delicious, along with the awesome buffet style breakfast.

As soon as we pulled into valet the customer service was top notch all the way through checkout. The room was very clean and comfy.
We walked over to Vic & Anthony's for dinner which is right out the door and very convenient. The security was awesome and I felt very safe. I would definitely recommend Westin Downtown.

Our Company had an event that we awarded 1 of our employees with baseball tickets and the 1 night stay. He and his party were very impressed with the hotel in all ways. They also made it super easy for me to book, the communication with the staff was smooth

Location cannot be surpassed for baseball games at Minute Maid Park. Hotel feels like an extension of the baseball park. Concierge service was superb. We had a sick child and needed an urgent care clinic. The concierge found one that was open and gave us directions.

This Westin is very clean and comfortable hotel in a convenient location for pedestrian access to most of Downtown Houston, as well as easy access to three major highways. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the hotel has a nice and unique feel to it.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food and service in the cafe was really good too. I made a phone call to get extra towels and they were there within 10 minutes. We'll be back!

This was my first time at the Westin Downtown. I was surprised by the hotel. It is much nicer than the other Westin hotels in Houston. The staff was very attentive and well-trained. I had a great meal in the restaurant and overall the experience was outstanding.

This is a great hotel for short stays and those particularly where your attention is focused outside the hotel. A pool would be a great addition. My children were a little disappointed that there was not one.
