Rated 1 out of 5 by Missed the mark Tonight I showed up and there was at least 100 people in line waiting to be checked in. Apparently the hotel won a bid to bring in 100s of stranded airplane passengers due to a flight missing their connections at DFW airport. You'd think they would give some sort of attention to their normal business customers or even their customers that have status with SPG... nope. It was madness. It took me an hour to check in... Rated 3 out of 5 by Convenient This was my first stay at your hotel. I realize that you were going under renovations, and it really didn't effect my stay except for the workers who preferred to smoke right at the entrance to the parking garage. Room was nice and comfortable. There was an erroneous lobby bar charge on my final bill, and although genesys took the charge off, I overheard her say to the other front desk agent(male) that I was just trying to get out of paying for it. She said this after I walked away and then returned through that area when I fetched my yay luggage. There was no way that charge was from me as I was away from the hotel from 10 am to 9 pm. I did ask what the time was on the charge and she stated she was not allowed to disclose that information. Shouldn't I have the right to know, if I'm being charged for it? Also, heads up on the parking charge would be nice when reservation is made. The elevator buttons often wouldn't light up or work, so often I would think I was traveling to westin workout but it would take me to floor five. October 17, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by 1st Timer This was my 1st time staying at The Westin. The hotel was nice. My room was clean and without any noticeable issues. Even though renovations were stated they were being made, there was no noise that kept me or woke me up. Overall this was a nice choice for a "Stay-cation" and I would recommend this hotel. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great facility with minor irritations The facility has just been renovated and is beautiful. The staff is great and go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The minor irratations were 1. Service Express did not answer the phone at times. 2. We were on the 17th floor close to the elevators and the noise from them was very loud. We did request and get a different room. 3. Upon checkout there was only one person at the registration desk and at one time there were approximately 15 people waiting in line. I offer these remarks with the hopes that they will be used by the management to make some improvements because with just a few adjustments this would be a fantastic hotel. October 3, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Save yourself some trouble and stay somewhere else! Major construction going on that took up the first floor. Escalators kept breaking down and some of the elevators were not working. Hotel staff was really rude to everyone. Several of us were told the 3rd floor pool was unavailable because of construction and we found out later that was not true. I informed the front desk that my air conditioner wasn't working properly and that my bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke and B.O. and the woman rolled her eyes and asked me what I expected her to do about it! The ATM machine was unavailable (because of construction) and there was no way to obtain cash and the hotel had no alternative for this. I can not believe the total lack of professional attitudes or customer service. September 23, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not what I expected Under construction, workmen rude cut in front of guests with luggage, had to call twice about toilet flooding bathroom, elevators/escalator not working properly, poor handling of lines for photos/autographs--went through elevator lines; all convention attendees told we would be comp'd for one night and get free parking; parking areas blocked by building materials. Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Hotel My stay was great! However, I hate that I could hear the conversation so clearly of our neighbors. The parking was bad ONLY because they are remodeling but I have never had bad parking experience here before. Staff was very friendly. Gave us an upgraded room because of the busy weekend so were very friendly! Overall, I am happy with my stay. August 21, 2016
