Rated 1 out of 5 by A far cry from a "palace" Two major complains about this hotel. Firstly, visually the hotel doesn't look like a "palace" of any kind. I don't understand why would Westin consider naming this property a palace. The look and the location of this hotel make it feel like an average Sheraton. This is no comparison to the Westin Palace Madrid. Secondly, the €40 breakfast is simply pathetic. It's an embaracement to the brand. I travel frequently and visit many SPG properties. I've had better breakfast at the FourPoints. Simply atrocious selection which doesn't even include everything that is promised on the menu. The quality of the bread and cold cuts is questionable. The selection of fruits is sad. To the hotel staff - please visit a not so distant Le Meridien Beach Plaza in Monaco to see what they do for €36. To the hotel rep who is going to reply to this posting with a standard appology - please don't. Instead, please post what will be done to change this and when. What actions will be taken. Rated 5 out of 5 by Very grand yet intimate This is not my first time at this hotel but I have not been in almost 2 years. I love this hotel. It's beautiful and impeccably kept. Upon my arrival, I was greeted warmly by Johan and Francesco at the Front Desk. My Starwood status was recognized and I was upgraded to a magnificent spacious junior suite. There were two of us so we were quite comfortable. I needed some extra items from housekeeping and their response was immediate. It was the same quick response from room service. My iPhone wasn't charging properly, maintenance was sent up, as it turned out it was my plug so he provided me with another. Truly the service here can't be duplicated!! GianLuca at the Concierge desk, I almost didn't recognize him with his new hairstyle, got reservations at the BEST restaurants, with the style and quality I prefer. All in all and wonderful stay, like visiting old friends. What a treat. Thank you all for your kindness. May 25, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by POORLY MANAGED The Stay started poorly when I handed my Platinum Card to the receptionist and she did not realize it was Platinum, hence I was not able to claim benefits until I reminder them. An old and tired hotel. My room 335 stank and the sink did not work. Terrible stay. May 15, 2016

Rated 2 out of 5 by Unsatisfactory Housekeeping and Internet Beautiful hotel with great bell staff and concierge team. We were greeted warmly as first impression to the hotel. The concierge team is very knowledgeable and directed us to the appropriate areas to truly experience Milan. The housekeeping team unfortunately requires much attention. During evening turn down service, used towels were not replenished. During daily room make up, dirty glasses and bottled water were consistently not replenished. Calling the customer service for bottled water, we were treated as though we wanted too much extra amenities. On one of our days, we left the hotel room from 9am to 4pm. Our rooms were not made up and we had to make multiple calls to housekeeping to make up our room. We concluded that the housekeeping team servicing our room did not make us feel welcomed. In room internet is abysmal. Connectivity is unstable and slow. We were so frustrated we ended up purchasing a local sim card so we can be connected. Due to above, I will not return to this property.
