ArtWeek Cocktail Kickoff

ARTWEEK COCKTAIL KICKOFF
Join the ArtWeek Cocktail Kickoff event at W Boston to celebrate the city’s vibrant local art scene and immensely talented artists.  Immediately following a symbolic lighting display at the Prudential Center, where hosts and supporters will “flip the switch” to mark the beginning of ArtWeek Boston, the city’s art community will gather at W Boston to kick off the celebrations.

Ryan Edwards and glass artist, Savvas Spyridopoulos will welcome guests with a dynamic live performance and multi-media art installation, blending design and progressive soundscapes. Enjoy a live, improvised collaboration between W Boston Music Curator, BREK.ONE and Ryan Edwards as the sun goes down and the bass turns up.

Featured speaker John Andress, Associate Director of Performing Arts at the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston will discuss the incredible 2015 James and Audrey Foster Prize winning artists and the state of performing arts in Boston at 6:15PM.

The evening’s celebrations will conclude with the launch of an interactive digital projection installation by local artist, Jeremy Stewart in the W Lounge to be on display for the duration of ArtWeek. Guests and locals are welcome each night to take part in creating a 20ft digital wall mural on W Boston’s massive feature wall made of textured local granite.
