Collins Avenue just got a lot more glamorous. Provocateur, renegade and legendary restaurateur Michael Chow—Mr Chow to all gourmets and followers of fine dining—has brought his art-ficionado ways to South Beach, the hottest epicurean extravaganza in a city known for sizzling cuisine. On an expansive stage encompassing an indoor restaurant and bar to a generous al fresco area, this showcase of gastronomical splendor is always exuberant with outstanding flavors.
The distinct Mr Chow experience begins at the stepped entrance in the spotlight, a traditional feature of the restaurant, and continues under the 123-foot chandelier adorned with gold leaves and Swarovski crystals that centers the dining room, designed by Michael himself. Real-time installation art is visualized around you in the showmanship of the waiters, while executive chef Nick Jinson Du (formerly of “Made in China”- widely considered Beijing’s top restaurant) innovates new masterpieces and recreates beloved classics such as the chicken satay, green prawns, soup dumplings, lobster two ways, Peking duck, scallion pancake and the world-famous hand-made noodle show.
