Solea

Solea

Soleá

Flamboyant, colorful, romantic and magical—like the flamenco music it is named for, Soleá takes you on a whirl of Spain’s most divine dishes brought to life in a contemporary interpretation. And just like a truly traditional performance in which dancers twirl inches before your very eyes, a jamón y queso and brick oven station literally brings you into the kitchen as maestros execute their epicurean fandango.

Make your entrada into a dining room designed by Anna Busta, with walls of Venetian plaster in a champagne shade with mother of pearl inlays. Slink into cozy banquettes or settle at communal tables made from a single gorgeous slab of wood from fallen maples, or request for a VIP area seating. Lit by glass wall lanterns and a group of glowing, oversize pendant lanterns with linen shades, the ambiance remains elegant yet relaxed. Want out? Make your way to the terrace for al fresco dining through gradated sheers framed by gray-washed louvered screens.

An array of tapas headline the appetizer selection, featuring renowned Ibérico ham, unique cured meats and cheese from Spain as well as flatbreads and a focus on seafood. The next act—the main courses—keeps the Mediterranean on centerstage, reflecting Spain’s intimate romance with the sea. Dishes go from the pleasure of a simply seared imported sea bass to elaborately prepared paella-style rice and pasta, while classic grill cuts and brick oven-roasted meats delightfully surprise with a Mediterranean twist, like a flamenca creating her own rhythm to everyone's favorite soleares.

With a beverage program driven by the character of its culinary offering, Soleá’s drink list is stylistically Spanish with a spotlight on boutique wines and an eclectic selection of singular labels from California and France—perfect pairings for the restaurant’s saveur faire and showcased on two stunning wine walls. Olé!
