The safety and welfare of our guests during their stay is very important to us and all guests must follow all W Retreat & Spa rules and policies established governing the safe and proper use of facilities. Children of any age should be kept close and must not be left unsupervised. The design of our Spectacular Ocean Oasis, Fabulous Lagoon Oasis, WOW Ocean Escape and Extreme WOW Ocean Haven cannot accommodate guests younger than 12 years. For children 10 to 12 years, a waiver must be signed by the legal guardian. There are no babysitting services or Kid’s Club facility available at the Resort. For non-US hotels, rates confirmed in USD may be converted to local currency by the hotel at your time of stay, based on the exchange rate used by the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Credit card charges are subject to additional currency conversions by banks or credit card companies, which are not within the hotel's control and may impact the amount charged to your credit card. Seaplane Transfer Information
The quickest transportation to the resort is via Malé Seaplane Airport. The resort requires arrival and departure flight information before making seaplane reservations. Please click here to share flight details with our reservations team.
- Travel time to the resort is approximately 25 -40 minutes.
- Roundtrip seaplane fee is 480 USD per person until December 23, 2015 and 505 USD per person from December 24, 2015 onwards.
- The seaplane operates only during daylight hours, between 6am and 3:30pm.
- The maximum baggage allowance per person is 25 kilograms. The excess baggage fee is 5 USD per kilogram.
Please contact the resort for more information or to confirm transportation. The actual seaplane schedule will be determined one day prior to arrival or departure.
For guests arriving or departing between 3:30pm and 6:00am (when the seaplane is unavailable), the resort can arrange alternate transportation to or from the airport (MLE) via speedboat. The total journey time is approximately two hours, depending on sea conditions. The speedboat can take a maximum of 12 guests, including luggage. The timing and pricing of the speedboat transfer is as follows:
- From the resort to the airport at 7pm, and from the airport to the resort at 11pm, the fee is 300 USD per person each way (subject to a 10% service charge and GST tax). The resort requires flight details, including arrival time and flight number, for the arrangement any seaplane or speedboat transfer.
Please note that seaplanes only operate between 6:00am to 3:30pm based on scheduled timing and current weather conditions. The hotel will not take responsibility for supplementary charges incurred as a result of seaplane transfers being cancelled by Trans Maldivian Airways.
New Green Tax Beginning November 1, 2015
Beginning November 1, 2015, a new Green Tax of 6 USD per day per person will go into effect. This will be in addition to the 10% Service Charge and the 12% Goods and Services Tax.
Compulsory Christmas Eve Dinner: December 24, 2015
There will be a compulsory Christmas Eve dinner supplement for all guests staying over or arriving on December 24, 2015. The fee is 390 USD per person. This will be automatically added to the room bill. Please contact the resort for further information.
Compulsory New Year’s Eve Dinner: December 31, 2015
There will be a compulsory New Year's Eve dinner supplement for all guests staying over or arriving on December 31, 2015. The fee is 650 USD per person. This will be automatically added to the room bill. Please contact the resort for further information.
Compulsory Chinese New Year's Dinner: February 8, 2016
There will be a compulsory Chinese New Year dinner supplement for all guests staying over or arriving on February 8, 2016. The fee is 350 USD per person. This will be automatically added to the room bill. Please contact the resort for further information.

Because of the resort’s unique location, certain areas and facilities are not fully accessible to guests with disabilities. Some Wonderful Beach Oasis accommodations are equipped with accessible doors and roll-in showers. For more information, please contact the resort.
Age Requirement Policy
Guests must be 18 years or older with photo identification to reserve a room. A valid credit card must always be presented and authorized at check-in.
Connecting Room Policy
The resort features the following connecting option:
- Wonderful Beach Oasis King to Wonderful Beach Oasis Twin
Connecting rooms are subject to availability at time of check-in. Please request connecting accommodations at the time of the reservation.
Early Arrival/Late Departure Policy
The resort’s standard check-in time is 2pm, and standard checkout time is noon. A request for an early arrival or a late departure will be subject to room availability. The resort will try its best to accommodate such a request; however, it cannot be guaranteed.
An early departure fee may be charged to a guest who departs prior to a scheduled departure date. The fee may be up to 100% of the confirmed length of stay. Please contact the resort for more information.
Extra Bedding Policy
It is our pleasure to offer an extra bed upon request in any of our room types. The hotel’s fee for an additional adult includes the usage of one rollaway bed.
Family Plan Policy
The resort cannot accept children below 13 years of age due to the layout of the resort. Please contact the resort for further information.
Gift Certificate Policy
The hotel is pleased to accept Gift Certicifactes, issued by the hotel and based on availability. Please provide the gift certificate number at the time of the reservation. The original gift certificate must be presented upon check-in. For arrangements, please follow the terms and conditions on the gift certificate. A valid credit card may be required at the time of the reservation and upon check-in.
For security purposes, valid photo identification is required at check-in. Acceptable forms include a driver’s license, passport, and/or proof-of-age card. Photo identification must also match the name that is on the reservation.
Parties and private events are strictly prohibited in our guest rooms. Each room can accommodate up to three adults. To arrange an event, please email our reservations team at email@example.com.
Non-Resort Guests and Visitors
Non-staying guests and visitors are not allowed in the resort. In the event of special celebrations; i.e. weddings, parties, private dinners, etc, invited guests must stay overnight in the resort.
We regret that we cannot accept pets at the hotel.
The resort accepts cash payments in U.S. dollars and euros only. Due to rules established by Maldivian banks, the resort is not able to accept USD notes from the 1990s or any note that is damaged (e.g., torn, dirty, pen marks). The resort does not accept traveler’s checks.
Room reservation must be made at least 3 days prior to arrival. Last minute bookings will be subject to availability at the discretion of the resort due to logistical limitations. Flight details must be provided at the time of the reservation to confirm transfer arrangements to and from the resort.
Transportation Resort Charge Policy
The resort will arrange combined seaplane transfers to and from Male International Airport and the fee is 480 USD per person (inclusive of the 12% GST) until December 23, 2015 and 505 USD per person (inclusive of the 12% GST) from December 24, 2015 onwards. International flight details are required to arrange transfers.

SPG Participation Disclaimer
All rooms at the W Retreat & Spa - Maldives are villas; therefore, Starpoint Award reservations must be booked at a higher Starpoint rate through your local customer contact center.
Please note that smoking is not permitted indoors in any of the accommodations. Smoking is permitted on the outdoor terraces or balconies of the villas. Smoking is also permitted in designated public areas within the resort.
