Special Conditions
Mardi Gras Hotel Access Information: Feb. 27 - March 4, 2014
In 2014, Mardi Gras will occur from February 27 to March 4. There will be some local street closures due to parades. Please allow extra time when traveling to the hotel. Access to the hotel over these dates will be limited to registered guests only. Please contact the hotel for further information.
WET® Closure: May 21, 2013
On Tuesday, May 21, 2013, WET® (pool) will be closed for a private event beginning at 5pm. During this time, guests will have pool access at nearby Starwood hotels. Please visit Whatever/Whenever® for arrangements. SWEAT® Fitness Center will remain open during this time. Please contact the hotel for further information.
Zoë Closed For Dinner: May 20 - 21, 2013
On Monday, May 20 and Tuesday, May 21, Zoë will be closed for private events beginning at 5pm. Please visit Whatever/Whenever® for restaurant recommendations located near the hotel. Zoë will resume normal dinner hours on Wednesday, May 22. Please contact the hotel for further information.
Hotel Policies
ADA Policy
The hotel is compliant with ADA. ADA compliant guest rooms are available.
Alcohol Policy
Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 21 years or older (with valid driver’s license or passport).
Age Requirement Policy
Guests must be 21 years or older with valid identification to reserve a room or check in.
Check Cashing Policy
Check cashing services are available to registered hotel guests who present a valid, major credit card and photo identification. There is a limit of $100 per stay. Starwood Preferred Guest Gold and Platinum members enjoy a $300 limit per stay.
Early Departure Policy
An early departure fee of one night’s room and tax applies to guests checking out prior to their departure date. Guests will be asked to confirm their departure date upon check-in. Please check the terms of your reservation for specific conditions or exceptions.
Extra Bedding Policy
Extra bed(s) can not be added to any guest room at the W New Orleans.
Gift Certificate Policy
To purchase or redeem a gift certificate, please contact the hotel directly.
Party Policy
In an effort to create a peaceful environment for all of our guests, please be advised that parties of any kind are not permitted in any of our guest rooms. Noise complaints are taken very seriously and may result in eviction without compensation.
A maximum of 4 persons are permitted in a room and a maximum of 8 in a suite at any one time. Any compensation given to a guest disturbed by you or your guests may be charged to your account at the hotel’s discretion.
Still looking for a posh place to party? Wander downstairs to the Living Room Martini Bar or Whiskey Blue for cool cocktails. Need a nibble? Unwind at Zoë lounge, located on the second floor, with a variety of light bites from Chef Ross Turnbull.
Package Handling Policy
There is a package handling fee for all incoming and outbound packages. Please contact the hotel directly for the exact fee.
Pet Policy
We welcome cats and dogs 40 pounds or less. Guests must sign a waiver upon check-in and will be charged $25 per day above the room rate. There is a non-refundable $100 cleaning fee regardless of length of stay.
Credit/Debit Card Policy
Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
Payment Policy
To arrange for payment for a reservation, please contact Reservations at (504) 681-5497 to provide credit card details. After normal business hours, please email your contact details to nolareservations@starwoodhotels.com and a member of the Reservations Department will contact you.
Smoking Policy
The hotel is 100% smoke free. There are designated smoking areas outside of the building, including the Bamboo Garden. A $200 per day cleaning fee will be charged to the guest's account should smoking occur anywhere outside the designated smoking areas.
