Rated 4 out of 5 by GMM1NYC Exceptional, except for the food.
Our room was very comfortable and had an amazing view. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Loved the gym and the hotel pool (would have been better if it didn't rain so much!).
The only area I see for improvement is in the restaurants. Hard to get anyone's attention at breakfast and the two meals I had at the WooBar, did not meet my expectations. My Cesar salad without anchovies came with ANCHOVIES, and my request for vinegar and oil and salt and pepper took longer to fulfill than for my friend to eat an entire burger. An order of vegetable spring rolls was greasy, soggy and lukewarm. The replacement Caprese Salad was better but took a long time to arrive. Should have asked to be comped for the $20 glass of wine I consumed while waiting for it to arrive.
Am hopeful the property can improve on the food because otherwise I loved it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Energizer29 Excellent act of thoughtfulness
I would like to compliment an excellent act of thoughtfulness rendered by Mr. Ma Chor Wo. Almost 2 years ago, I stayed at W hotel Kowloon with my mother while on vacation in Hong Kong, We engaged Mr. Ma as our personal driver for sightseeing. At that time, my mother was looking for a particular brand of cooking sauce, but to no avail. When I met Mr. Ma again when I stayed at W hotel from 7th - 9th April 2014, the next day ie the night before I checked out, he passed me 2 bottles of the sauce that my mum was looking for! I was very pleasantly surprised that he actually remembered what my mother was looking for and he bought the sauces out of his own pocket. Mr. Ma who has demonstrated excellent customer service and went the extra mile, is definitely a talent whom W Hotel can be proud of. Thank you Ah Wo!

Rated 4 out of 5 by SY84 Great hotel for those working at ICC
Location: Pros - located next to ICC and above the Kowloon Station. Cons - the MTR lines that run through Kowloon station does not get to the TST area.
Service: Most team members embodies the Whenever, Whatever ethos and have been very courteous and helpful throughout the stay.
Cleanliness: Overall cleanliness has been good, except for the toilet area where there were occasionally a lingering smell.
Room Condition: Most features are good but the work desk area could make do with brighter lighting.

I have been staying at W every time when I am in HK for work. However, I notice the room which I was staying in this time was must hotter than previous mostly likely due to the facing.
Most important I felt my room was not as clean as previously and the toilet bowl I needed to call the housekeeping to clean again after the cleaner did.
I was in the room when the cleaner was do the cleaning and I was shocked to realize that the cleaner do not do much washing of wiping but changing of towels.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Joseph1964 Iced cold shower!
W has always been one of my favorite hotels. The rooms are tastefully decorated, it's different from others. It' a cool hotel! The bell boys dressing was cool, one might think they are hotel guest. However, one night when I got back into my room at 11pm, I was ready for a nice hot shower. It was a cold day. I noticed the hot water pressure was kinda not normal, nevertheless I needed a hot shower. So half way with body covered with soap, the hot water started diminishing...I had to completed my shower with iced cold water. I called the hotel...Alex the duty manager rectified the pb within 30min. I got a Suite upgrade, I meant, a WOW Suite upgrade. That was a real customer service excellence! Unfortunately, I felt sick with cough and flu next day...spent my vacation in the hotel room...:(

Yet another great stay at the W HK ... check in was super friendly and efficient ... good sleep ... started the day with a 1km in the beautiful outdoor pool ... refueled with a healthy room service breakfast ... checked out ... but came back later in the day before my evening flight to have a personal training session with Rabi in the gym and to post some presents which they kindly organized for me in the Business Centre.
I had the choice to stay in the new Ritz-Charlton next door but why would I!

The moment I stepped into the hotel compounds, I was greeted with smiles and welcome.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Check-in was fast and efficient – my room was ready (early check-in requested) & room access cards prepared beforehand.
Sad to say, I had to be on a business trip during my birthday but W Hong Kong surprised me with a birthday cake in my room on the day. I was pleasantly surprised and all smiles when I read the birthday greeting card and ate the cake.
THANKS W HONG KONG!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cabster Great hotel, wrong location
The hotel facilities and staff are both superb. The main issue is that unless you are doing business at the ICC building, you have to take a cab or courtesy van into town, and then a cab back. The cab ride is so short that many cabbies will turn you down unless you agree to pay far over the meter for a ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chinaexpat Outstanding Stay!
We had a great stay, the Sunday brunch was by far one of the best brunches we have every had. My wife enjoyed the options on the breakfast, if I had any criticism its that it was a little pricey for breakfast!
The bell boy helped us carry our bags to the train station which goes to the airport (much better option than a taxi) and was very helpful and polite (I think his name was Gary!). He helped get our tickets and made sure we knew where to go. I would stay here every time I am in HK!

We had a lovely couple of relaxing days at the W hotel after the frenzy of visiting Disneyland. The hotel is amazing, the corner room was great, we had a fabulous view. The bathroom really was stunning, we don't have a bath as we live in Singapore so we always book a room with an amazing bath and this one fit the bill perfectly. The staff were wonderfully attentive and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay Would definitely recommend this hotel.

In a city of great hotels the W Hong Kong stands out among its competitors in nearly every coceivable category. Its proximity to public transportation, outstanding guest services and guest recognition as well as superb room comfort and amenities , a rooftop pool with stunning harbor views and a state of the art gym along with renowned culinary options make for a truly five star experience. Can't wait to return soon!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jac7 Excellant hotel
I usually stay in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui so was a little apprehensive with a slightly new destination but it all turned out for the best. The service was excellant, nothing was too hard and plenty of smiles. What I liked the hotel was that is wasn't a corporatate stiff hotel but a relaxed, cool joint. It is an easy cab ride to Tsim Sha Tsui or the Island, it will be easy to walk when the building works have finished in the area.
Happy top recommend, we will be going back

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wombat48 wonderful staff, great buzz
Fabulous staff who multitask, and communicate promptly with eachother if uncertain of something.
Very proactive in being there to assist with ANYTHING.
Great rooms, great views, amazing pool, location very convenient to the massive Elements mall, MTR Kowloon station , airport train & express check-in, making it very easy for families, too.
Breakfast buffet was insanely good.
Great vibe , but still friendly enough to not feel so cool as to exclude families .

Rated 2 out of 5 by gali711 Unfriendly staffs, messy rooms
Staffs aren't friendly at all, from the entrance, check in counter, to the pool side WET bar. No smile on their face plus talk with attitude.
Rooms are messy, took them 8 hours to get my room tidied. But then there were some unknown scary hair on my soap for no reason! Plus the shower area is not cleaned.
A sad experience.

Rated 2 out of 5 by LTF4 Disappointing Quality
I was rather disappointed with my stay at the W this time round. I felt that there was a lack of cosiness during this stay and it was quite an unpleasant stay this time round as the bed linens smelled very bad. It had the smell of sweat in them.
It was totally unexpected out of the W brand and I am deeply disappointed by my stay this time round. Not sure if I will like to try the W again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CW1688 Feels like being home everytime
By now, I have been staying at W HK more than thirty nights since it's opening. It's the place to stay in HK everytime I come back from US. The friendly staff and the comfortable room makes me feel like being home. The upgrade program for Platinum member is incredible. I was able to have the suite almost everytime I check in. I highly recommend W HK to every starwood member. This is the place you want to come back often and being treated like the real platinum member.

What a great place to hang your head in Hong Kong. I was initially concerned about being in Kowloon instead of Central, but I have long since forgotten about that.
• Super convenient. Airport Express from HK Airport stops directly under the hotel. Also the subway is one stop away from Central Hong Kong.
Great staff. Very kind to this platinum SPG member.
• Great gym and spa.
• Unbelievable pool. A must.
Such a cool and sexy vibe. I recommend it to everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rella The place to be
Right upon arrival, you just know that you got to T H E place!
The right music playing from an impeccable sound system, doormen and bellboys taking care of you and your luggage and whisking you up to the Lobby on the 6th floor for check-in.
No waiting, no fuss, just easy and smooth and with a friendly and stern smile; you just know that you are taken care off.
Same procedure at check in, short, friendly efficient and off you are to your room. And again this feeling, that it's all taken care of.
The view when you walk into the room was breathtaking - my first time in HK, I wasn't prepared for this view.
The room was practical, yet comfortable and had all perks and small surprises, that make your stay just more enjoyable. A local cell phone for my use during my stay, fully loaded with all I needed to know about HK , this and the free shuttle provided by the hotel made exploring the city easy and fun.
The food was excellent, the breakfast buffet just made me smile every morning over and over again, with individually bottled juices, small pastries, whimsical gummy bears, an Asian buffet section, eggs station, exotic fruits and and and......
I also tried the lobby restaurant for lunch where my waiter was a very charming and friendly young men from Berlin who just was making a stage iT the W HK and he gave me some good insider tips of the city.
The Concierge at the hotel had answers to just all my questions and requests, if it was booking a hairdresser appointment or finding me the nearest toys r us store.
Don't get me even started n the Bliss Spa - it made me feel like on holidays.
I could go on with this raving about the hotel. But to make it short: the Hotel is IT ! W Hong Kng you made everything right! I want to go back now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by zanydog44 Ultra modern hotel with all comforts you can think of.
We stayed here for 2 nights in May 2014. The room was excellent. All the little comforts you can think of. We like the great view, the modern layout and the various pre-set lighting moods for the room. Downside was no free wifi which was quite a let down considering the room was not cheap. Handy in the room is a great idea but no one explained what it was for, whether we will be charged, whether we can bring it out of the room etc.
Facilities - pool and gym looked great. Was disapppointed that the bar at the pool level was closed on one night we wanted to go. The breakfast was beyond expectation.
I drank quite a bit on both nights from the Woobar and the drinks were reasonably well stocked. Crowd was nice and bar staff very efficient.
Location wise, because we shopped quite a bit on Hong Kong island, the rail system was a little inconvenient. Otherwise, going to and from the airport was very very convenient.
Well done. Hope to stay there again soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PAC01 A real atmosphere
This is a living hotel with good atmosphere really not stiff.
The chinese restaurant dowside is excellent and the bar is also a good experience.
I have greatly appreciateted the possibility to use the spa and gym after check out.
One critic is the complexity of lights system in the bedroom and the multiple little lights staying on during all night.

Rated 4 out of 5 by KeithYCG Contemporary, modern hotel, with great staff
Always stay at W Hotel whenever I visit HK. Friendly energetic staff members, from concierge, to reception, to housekeeping and Kitchen restaurant. Rain shower was not working well on check-in, but promptly repaired within an hour after calling the engineer. I was also impressed by staff because some medicine which was left behind during my last visit couple of months ago, was returned with a cheeky note - "Remember to bring along next time " !

Rated 5 out of 5 by HFB2012 great stay
It was our first time in a W Hotel and the W Hong Kong, Kowloon West exceeded all our expectations. Great location, excellent facilities and very friendly and supportive staff.
Only one down side - the storage facilities in the room are very limited, so we had partly to live out of a suitcase. We stayed in a corner suite with breath taking views - great recognition of my life time platinum status.
Thanks to all the staff we had a great week.

good room & outstanding shower. Only thing to improve: the gym music should be different from swimming pool. During the morning the zen/chill music doesn't work well with gym.

Rated 3 out of 5 by tombrady experience has gotten worse over the years
I've stayed at the W HK for several years now and I've noticed that the quality of service has worsened. First, check in time is WAY too long. Its not there was a line, its that the staff seemed to be typing away doing who-knows-what to get registered.
Second, the room I got was right next to a construction zone (which wasn't a project of the hotel, so nothing could really be done). However, the hotel should try to minimize rooms close to contraction zone. I immediately asked to switch rooms to avoid the loud buzzing/construction noises.
Finally, as a lifetime Platinum member, it seems the W HK is one of the few hotels I no longer get upgraded at. I don't mind so much, since I realize that there are a lot of Platinum members. However, it does stand out in this respect.
Given the poor location (not in Central), I would think the W would try harder. And that was definitely the case when it first opened, but I'm not sure I will choose this hotel in the future.
