Rated 5 out of 5 by W HK I remain surprised at how every visit feels special and that staff want to make it the best stay possible. I can't find fault in the W HK. I only wish every stay in the Starwood network could be as memorable and pleasant as staying at the W HK. September 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has great and modern features A very impressive modern hotel when stepping into the lift following the corridor until the room. Decoration around the room floor lift are unique and curiosy. Staff are warm with smile to welcome us especially the conceirage staff. They all look smart too. Off course the best was the room design with neccesity products standby. Bliss products were amazing good and the moisturer make me feel carrying it. There are only 2 parts of improvement that we want to highlight. They are the taps at the washing basin and the other one is the door for shower room. Both have water leaking problem. Whenever we turn on the water tap, water will flow out all over the top. A floor mat need to be at near outside the door otherwise water will wet all around the floor. But we think overall was wonderful and feel like going back in the future. We want to thank especially Billy for proviiding great friendly service. Cheers Ryoko & Erwin September 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Home coming experience The moment I stepped into the hotel compounds, I was greeted with smiles and welcome. The staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in was fast and efficient – my room was ready (early check-in requested) & room access cards prepared beforehand. Sad to say, I had to be on a business trip during my birthday but W Hong Kong surprised me with a birthday cake in my room on the day. I was pleasantly surprised and all smiles when I read the birthday greeting card and ate the cake. THANKS W HONG KONG!!! September 2, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 best entertainment the entertainment facilities are.impressive August 30, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Water and Aircon When I arrived at the room the aircon was broken and then at night when i came back after dinner, there was no HOT water. For a 5 star hotel, i expect better August 28, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Unique hotel; out of the way First of all, if you’re coming in from the Airport Express, good luck finding the hotel! I saw exactly two signs pointing the way in Elements Mall. One near the entrance, and one near the hotel lobby. For everything in between, you’re on your own. There seems to be ample signage for everything other than the W. Try taking Exit D from the Airport Express station, and making a left. I may have taken the long way around to the hotel. If you have problems, head to the “Metal” section of the mall. When checking in, there was no mention of my platinum status until I asked for my platinum amenity. I was upgraded to a Fabulous room, which has a direct view of an industrial harbor. Why anybody would pay more for such a view is beyond me. Other than that, the room is spacious and has a nice couch for lounging about. The room has an open bathroom concept, which some people might dislike. The bed and duvet are ridiculously comfortable. I chose the continental breakfast as my platinum amenity, and bought up to a full breakfast for 110HKD. It was probably the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had! The presentation was outstanding. Restaurant service however, in W parlance, was Whatever. Plates were slow to be taken away, and my tea was never refilled. Service issues aside, I might actually come back just for breakfast next time I’m in HK. I stayed at this property one night to make my airplane connection the next morning. The hotel décor is really nice, and I really liked the ambiance. However, even with the convenience of the Airport Express, with the poor location and high cost compared to other Kowloon properties, you can do better elsewhere. August 28, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent hotel! This is one of the best hotel i staid in! Very modern design, well located, amazing pool, gym. Very easy to enjoy the vibe and chill in. A must for a business trip or even more for leisure. I would definitely come back and if you haven't yet you missed something! August 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dead sexy hotel What a great place to hang your head in Hong Kong. I was initially concerned about being in Kowloon instead of Central, but I have long since forgotten about that. • Super convenient. Airport Express from HK Airport stops directly under the hotel. Also the subway is one stop away from Central Hong Kong. • Great staff. Very kind to this platinum SPG member. • Great gym and spa. • Unbelievable pool. A must. Such a cool and sexy vibe. I recommend it to everyone. August 23, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful stay! Great rooms - bed, shower, toiletries were all perfect. Standout amenity is the pool - great view and atmosphere, very relaxing. August 22, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by If only i were 25 again... The W-Hong service was excellent. I picky about service and there were no gaps in service at all. Now, the hotel itself feels more like a night club than a hotel. If only I were 24 again. But, when I was 24, no way I could afford to stay at the W and that is the problem. If you are looking for a party atmosphere with some "fashion" so far into the future that it looks like the "Get Smart" 70's feel, this is your hotel. August 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by The hotel has very graet service I'very impress for check-in to W Hongkong Hotel. Start until I leave luggage at Lobby before check-in time, all staffs have a good take care to me. Once I'm check-in, staff at counter very make me appreciate. Also for all of overview in my room and hotel, very good and beautiful. I will come back to this hotel again once I'm at Hongkong August 21, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Hotel Perfect Location, easy to get around and close to stations and Elements Mall August 21, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great, modern hotel Excellent location and great service August 19, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Location, 2 mins away from HK central Great hotel; upgraded to us a bigger room once we informed the team that we were on our honeymoon. Concierge was very helpful with directions etc. Pool has a great view but does not have a bar/restaurant associated with it.. at least we couldn't find one. Located in one of HK's bigger mall with tons of options to eat, shop and also check into your airline.. August 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hotel Independence The hotel was very clean, well kept and well furnished, with a great range of in house services - just the ones you want spa, pool, gym - and the occasional check in by management to make sure everything is how you like it. I stayed in a Fabulous Room with a full harbour view. The hotel is modern. Has a busy kind of vibe and seems to be party central late at night - but you'd never know from your room so it's not intrusive at all. And it is a fun hotel. Lots of smiles and small talk. The staff are called the talent and they're all young hopefuls, many still studying, very helpful but unique in that they are taught to be creative and self expressive. There's no "Good Morning" but rather a "Hello" usually with some engaging comment or a how are you or where did you go. But the staff are not intrusive in any way and they are polite and they all love working there. The hotel accoutrements - bedding, pillows, gown, slippers, desk chair, couches etc are all of excellent quality. I wanted to know the brand of the bed, pillows and desk chair as they were so comfortable. I was working so ate a bit in my room while finishing the day's work. The food was great. Love the poached red fruits with hazelnut crunch muesli and yoghurt for breakfast. And you can get a decent strong coffee. Internet prices in room are reasonable $115 HKD/day or $700/week. I enjoyed a massage to get rid of the flight and their masseur was professional, well educated in her job and the massage really did get rid of the flight. So I went back for another before I left. :) The pool area is very relaxed and people are friendly without being in your face. I think this is a hotel for people who like their independence. You can always go to the concierge for information about anything but they don't come to you with suggestions or tours or sights to see. So if you like to work it out yourself then this is really a great place to stay. August 17, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 Good location even as a Hong Kong residence "hide-away" hotel; it is easy to get from HK side to the venue by taxi or MTR / airport link ... August 14, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellant hotel I usually stay in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui so was a little apprehensive with a slightly new destination but it all turned out for the best. The service was excellant, nothing was too hard and plenty of smiles. What I liked the hotel was that is wasn't a corporatate stiff hotel but a relaxed, cool joint. It is an easy cab ride to Tsim Sha Tsui or the Island, it will be easy to walk when the building works have finished in the area. Happy top recommend, we will be going back August 8, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good hotel I really like this hotel a little out of the way for me but they have a shuttle to take a few places. The one thing i love about this hotel is the showers they are great i must take 2 or 3 showers a day. Ok 2 things they are right above a elements mall. Oh 3 things great spa and pool. Everything is a little pricey but its the W Hong Kong hotel there best hotel i dont think there is a better W hotel anywhere. August 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Stay Americans first time to Hong Kong and it could not have been better. The W in Hong Kong is by far the best W we have ever stayed. Francis at checkin was so helpful to make sure everything was just right. The breakfast was one of the best we have had anywhere in the world. The W Hong Kong is simply great! August 1, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Getting Worst I have been staying in W Hotel Hong Kong for more than 10 times since it's opening. I think the service and the facilities is getting worst and less. There used to be two sets of shower towel and shower gel, shampoo and stuff, but this time I realised there's only one set. The in room dining options are too little. The Bliss Spa is not recommended. We booked Blissage 75 (which is a 75 mins massage), however, we only received a 65 mins service. Not only once, we had tried the Blissage 75 before, and they left early also. August 1, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Bad Experience in Making Reservation I had a great honeymoon experience in the New York W last year. Therefore, I would like to celebrate my husband's birthday at W Hong Kong. When I called theW this afternoon, for making reservation of afternoon tea, the lady helped with my reservation was not in a welcome manner. When I misunderstood her questions, she sounded inpatient and not happy for serving me. I can't believe this is the "Customer Service" that should be provided by W. I don't think my husband and I would like to spend his birthday celebration or other celebration in W Hong Kong anymore. July 30, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good location Good spot to walk to many historic sites, bars and restaurants, and close to Metro and bus stops. July 27, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel is excellent in service I want improvement in concierge recommendation. July 25, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Like staying at a luxury club We enjoyed every minute of our stay - from the fun club-like music and unique decor to the excellent buffet and excellent rooms. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Hong Kong. Traveling with a young child, we also very much appreciated the easy access from the airport and location adjacent the air-conditioned mall. July 23, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just wonderful ! The best hotel in Hong Kong I've ever been. Location, view, pool, kindness, food etc. Everything You' ll never regret staying at W Hotel in Hong Kong. July 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Hotel Only issue was that there were no Executive Club facilities for Platinum guests. Relative to other hotels in Asia which had fabulous breakfasts and evening events this was a huge discrepancy. Everything else in the hotel was excellent. July 12, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by The hotel staff is very un-friendly and un-professional Besides hotel staff problem. The SPG recognition is bad and unsatisfactory. July 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by The staff is very friendly The staff at the W hotel was very accommodating to all of my needs. Very friendly and personable, made my stay at W just that much better. The staff at Woo Bar made me feel right at home and were great to talk to. I would definitely recommend staying at the W for anyone who is on vacation. July 5, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by In general, great stay My overall experience staying at the W Hotel HK was positive. Great concierge who helped with bookings and special arrangements prior to my arrival. Service upon check-in, check-out and at The Kitchen in the evening was exceptional. Just a few things stuck out as disappointments: 1. Entering the room – I arrived to my room late in the evening, when it was dark outside. It was also pitch black in my room. Furthermore, it was quite difficult to find the light switch. In fact, a key card needed to be inserted to turn on the lights but the location was quite difficult to find. Most 5 star hotels these days that actually require a key card for lights will have a key already inserted in preparation for check-in 2. Hair dryer – The hair dryer was placed under the sink with a fixed cord that wouldn’t extend very far, i.e. for anyone over 175cm, the dryer doesn’t reach your head while standing up 3. Stain – There was a large, ugly brown stain on the floor near the bedside table 4. iPod docking station – This docking station was not as straightforward to use as it could be. It became difficult to turn on the music without turning on the TV. Furthermore, the TV remote controlled the iPhone which turned out to be more annoying than helpful. The system in the W Hotel Taipei is more user-friendly 5. Service at The Kitchen and WooBar – Service at both The Kitchen during Sunday brunch and at WooBar during afternoon tea was disappointing. Despite having many staff walking around, it was surprisingly difficult to get anyone’s attention for assistance. As mentioned, my overall stay was quite enjoyable. However, if the above issues had not occurred, it would have been closer to flawless. June 27, 2012
