Rated 3 out of 5 by Average Hotel; Mice in Lobby Just returned from 1st stay at W Hoboken. Line at check-in met with additional but extremely slow staff. Stopped in lobby bar for drinks on first night & saw 2 mice in hallway off bar; notified staff, who didn't seem overly concerned--guessing it's not 1st time mice in lobby. Extremly slow service in restaurant at breakfast despite few diners present on 2 mornings we visited. Room service breakfast includes 22% fee & $5 delivery charge, making "breakfast included" rate not achievable unless you order juice & a bagel. Valet-only parking as expensive as Manhattan hotels. Location & views good. Gym adequate but too hot. August 24, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Expected Better I had higher expectations of this hotel. Yes you will get a room with a view, but our room was 50% NYC and 50% Construction site. Our bathroom light didn't work which proves problematic at 1:00 am. We had a connecting room, which was fun because we got to hear the room party till 3:00 am. Would be willing to give it another shot, but for the price just stay in NYC. Chris March 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Hoboken W is a pretty neat hotel It's new and in really good condition. Nothing no one who has stayed there, or the staff, wouldn't know, but it can be noisy. Disappointed that in the rooms, it is difficult to find and reach outlets. I just want to plug in a phone and ipad and i have to reach under cabinets to find an outlet. Strange in such a new hotel. Overall a nice place and very convenient if you are in Hoboken March 14, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by My stay at the Hoboken, W hotel Our stay started out just great, food was good from the hotel, staff very nice, room excellent. By the fourth nite we found ANTS, yes I said Ants, all over the bathroom floor. They upgraded our room and gave me 15,000 starpoints. The next day we were checking out, as we took our showers we realized the water wasn't draining properly; again I reported it. There is absolutely no excuse for a shower drain not to be draining properly; doesn't housekeeping notice that? I felt the universe was telling me it was time to go home so we did. August 25, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by My Favorite NYC Area W An ABSOLUTE WOW! I had never been to Hoboken and only booked to experience the spectacular view of Manhattan and the new WTC that I had read about. We were not disappointed - in fact, the proximity of the water shuttle to Chelsea and the totally hip vibe of the surrounding neighborhood makes this a really interesting alternative to staying in the city. The Platinum upgrade was to a drop-dead gorgeous suite with two bathrooms and every possible W amenity. We opted to take the complimentary breakfast and it was a full a la carte selection served on the atmospheric outdoor terrace of the Tuscan steakhouse restaurant. We loved starting the day with Eggs Benedict, a pleasant server and a view of Manhattan and the river. The staff were across the board young, hip and attractive. My partner and I spent this past weekend at the W Hoboken and we were just blown away by the warm and wonderful hospitality with which we were greeted and treated throughout our stay! The hotel has great features and the location, with a magnificent view of Manhattan, could not have been better for our "getaway". Great amenities and the staff was extremely professional, efficient and warm! I took advantage of a massage at Bliss (which is right there!) and this completed a fantastic and outstanding experience! Like being in heaven!! We will definitely want to go back and recommend it highly to any avid traveler. October 23, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by Hoboken Front desk was understaffed with slow and somewhat indifferent personnel at checkin Saturday pm, yet properly staffed at checkout Sunday with proactive personnel. Hotel management did nothing about an excessive noise party that lasted until 3:30am on our floor, yet had no problem deploying staff to run a vacuum cleaner in the hallway at 6:50am Sunday morning. I stay >150 nights a year in hotels. It would categorize this hotel as follows: great location, adequate facility, inadequate management. March 3, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice place Decent enough hotel. Best part was the view. Everything else only okay. Restaurant service terrible. Service were very slow, servers didn't know menu, prices, etc. Hostess was rude as well. Nightclub was only accessible to hotel guests by waiting in line OUTSIDE ! Doubt I'll ever stay there again. The manager was not very helpful in fulfilling my request for a room upgrade as a Gold Preffered member. August 13, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Heaven comes to New Jersey A true ambassador to what the W brand really is, the W Hoboken is a jewel and often has rates that will save you some dough when in NYC. I highly recommend staying here if you're ok with taking a quick train under the river. I don't know what I did to get so lucky... Wait, I do know! I used one of my handy-dandy Suite Night Awards and got upgraded to the --- wait for it -- Extreme WOW. Neither Extreme, nor WOW, even in combination, due this 17th floor paradise justice. Never before have I experience such refined luxury and exceptional, classy taste. Two huge bedrooms, two and a half baths, two balconies, sweeting views, sound system throughout the suite. WOW. Wow, y'all, WOW! Based on the style of this room, I'd guess all the rest of great, too. The Living Room here is a step up from most Ws. The restaurant is great, room service is fast. Whatever/Whenever is reliable. PATH train is about a 5-8 minute walk from the hotel. Takes you to a few places in Manhattan. Fri and Sat night turn into a bit of a Jersey Shore in-real-life club night....but you can get away from that it you want. June 3, 2012

I was hoping for a great experience and it was. The suite was amazing. The staff could not have been nicer or friendlier. Great restaurant. What's not to like? Oh, stunning views of New York too. One of New York's great hotels is just across the Hudson. March 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best hotel on East Coast I checked in for a one night stay. My company was holding a meeting at the hotel. The service for our company meeting was amazing. Technical coordinator, food servers, all of those who supported our meeting were amazing! My room was incredibly clean and comfortable. The style of the rooms is contemporary with a beautiful view of the NY skyline. The in room snack bar and amenities were terrific. The room service food was impecable and quick! I received my filet mignon perfectly cooked within 20 minutes of placing my order! I have travelled for 20 years for business and this is one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in. The service of the front desk, bell men, food servers was fabulous. I dare say the best hotel all around that I have stayed at on the East coast in the last 5 years!! It's worth it. February 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous! I was so pleased with my second stay at W Hoboken within a calendar year. We were upgraded from a cozy room to a wonderful room with a spectacular lower Manhatten view that dazzled. We spent two separate nights on either end of a weekend trip. On our final night we had a view of midtown that was even more glorious. Breakfast roomservice was prompt and the food was just as great as I remembered. The staff was very accommodating. My boyfriend and I were very happy. Thanks! February 25, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Terrible stay We were on the 4th floor and were able to hear the music blaring late at night from the hotel's bar. As I was travelling with my mother, this was very disappointing. We called once, but I guess it is unrealistic for the hotel bar to "turn their music off." The room also had a funny smell as if another worse smell (possibly cigarette smoke) was present prior to our stay and now an attempt was being made to cover it up by using some repulsive cleanser. And the Ipod dock didn't work. So overall--the fantastic view of the skyline just wasn't enough for us. Won't stay here again. July 24, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by Inadaquate facility and poor food Thankfully there are plenty of choices for good eats outside to make up for the less palatable selctions in the hotel. On the other hand, I am disappointed that W Hotel at Hoboken does not have a swimming pool given the reputation it has. I also found myself a little irritated at the lack of lighting in the bathroom. While I understand the design is targarted for a modern and sleek feel, but straining my eyes trying to see clearly in the dark walls and dark lite bathroom really does not enchance my experience with the W. My expectations were more than exceeded! The room, the view everything!!! I would have only changed the ability to play my flash drive on the TV. February 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing views of NYC The staff at this hotel were very professional and took excellent care of me. The Fantastic suite is an amazing room with a great balcony to step out onto and enjoy your panoramic view of NYC. Zylo and The Chandelier Room were both great places to go out to at night. There is a lot to see and do in Hoboken all steps away from the hotel. Getting into nyc is no problem either... drive, train, ferry or cab it's up to you and will take less than a few minutes. This hotel is so worth it when staying in the NY/NJ area. June 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by SIMPLY THE BEST SPG HOTEL. This hotel sets the SPG bar very high. TRANSPORTATION: The fastest mode of transportation from EWR airport is via taxicab. If you want to save money then take the AIRTRAIN from EWR to the NJ TRANSIT EWR STATION. The ride is free. Buy a ticket for Hoboken and change trains at Secaucus. The hotel is a short walk from Hoboken Terminus. ROOM: Was upgraded to a Fantastic suite which had beautiful views of Manhattan along with a balcony. STAFF: BRITTANY at the front desk was very courteous and sweet. Thank you ASHLEY and CARLOS for assisting with my check in process. HOUSEKEEPING STAFF: They work hard and do a great job but are not properly notified about the guest who are checking out at 4 pm. This leads to abrupt and rapid knocking on the door after 12 noon even if you have a "DO NOT DISTURB" sign hanging outside your door which can be disturbing. There should be better communication between the front desk staff and housekeeping staff about 4pm checkouts. DINING: ZYLO located within the W is amazing. You can also walk down 3rd street and at the intersection of 3rd street and Washington Street is a CHIPOTLE. There is a 24 hours McDonald's located there too along with a PANERA BREAD. You can also enjoy Cold Stone Creamery and a Ben and Jerrys. CAKE BOSS is located on Washington Street and you can walk there from the W. OVERALL: One of the BEST SPG hotels ever and you should not miss staying here. February 27, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by this was our 3rd stay at the whoboken Each time it just gets better and better. The staff is so attentive to your every need, from the bowl of apples to the fantastic candles in the lobby, you just know that from the minute you enter the lobby the tone is set for a wonderful, relaxing stay at the W Hoboken. Every staff member is perky and enthusiastic. We had a fantastic time, and we are definitely coming back. We would never stay anywhere else when we travel to the metropolitan area. Rated 5 out of 5 by Who needs Manhattan? This hotel is a gem. Yes, we have stayed in many a W Hotel before and far too many nights in NYC. We chose the W Hoboken because my wife and I were attending a wedding nearby, and did not want to have to commute in rush hour from Manhattan. From the moment we were met by the welcoing valet to the splendid check-in experience, we knew that this was a very rare treat. The room was well appointed with remarkable views of Manhattan, and then there was a pleasant surprise. There was a card from SPG and a box of chocolates. I did not know what this was for and when I opened the card, there was an announcementt that since we stayed in all 9 SPG brand hotels last year, we were given an award. And it was a quite a surprise award , so we went downstairs to celebrate. The restaurant service and food were also outstanding. We hightly enjoyed our stay and wil return. April 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best service starwood hotel By far, the best Starwood hotel in the entire chain. And I spend 100+ nights a year in Starwood hotels, The staff goes out of their way to help you. When I was there, I was sick and they made walgreens runs for me and checked in on me 2 times a day. Angela was a complete sweetheart and its such a delight to see her every time I am back. Anna (old GM) was great and has set a very high bar for other hotels! The new Pedro is also keeping up the service levels! Sometimes, I stay here even if I am traveling to the city!! February 5, 2014
