I've traveled through Paris at least 10 times and although I've never had any issues with la Parisienne, I can see how many Americans can be intimidated by the language or customs of the French... The W Paris Opera will make any American feel at ease. The staff's genuine interest in accommodating our every need and going above and beyond, places a whole new meaning to "Whatever/Whenever". I cannot rave enough over our amazing experience at the W Paris Opera. The entire staff is to be commended... but Nicholas, the concierge is INCREDIBLE!!! We cannot thank him enough for all the little extras he helped with to polish our experience to a HIGH sheen!! Merci mercii!

I was so excited about staying at this Category 7 SPG property, but my excitement didn't last for long. The rooms were small and, frankly, cheaply appointed. I had a "Marvelous Suite," which felt crowded and thrown together. I wanted a bath tub, which the "Suite" did not have. In fact, the glass door to the toilet room would not close because the room was too small. The Front Desk and Bar staff were very pleasant, but the staff in the hallways (cleaning staff and maintenance people) didn't speak and were not very courteous. This property felt like an average Category 3 property instead of a premium W property. I have stayed at other Starwood properties in Paris in the past and, dollar for dollar, I was much more impressed with those properties. To be honest, I was so underwhelmed by the stay at the W Opera, that I checked out early and moved to another hotel. I know it's a new hotel, but I'm a Lifetime Platinum Member (which means I've stayed in Starwood property hotels a lot all over the world) and this property is not representative of an SPG Category 7 property. I hate I wasted so many points for this hotel.

As a lifetime platinum member with nearly 800 nights at starwood hotels, I can say that this five night experience was likely the best I have ever had. The W Paris uniquely combines the personal attention expected from a 5-star boutique hotel alongside the global standard of amenities offered and expected from a W. The only negative I can think of was the fitness faciliaty insofar that it is ridiculously small and poorly ventialated. With that said, it should not stop you from considering this hotel. The leadership and staff make this place an absolute gem that is not to be missed; the location is perfect and the fabulous suite on the 4th floor was perfect in every respect.

We stayed here for 3 nights on the back end of an Ireland trip to soak in some French culture before heading back to the states. From arrival to departure, I wouldn't change a thing. Thomas made us feel welcomed. Marco is one of the best concierges - definitely get dinner recommendations from him. And Orelia at the bar will make you feel like special and attended to. The bar is amazing. Rooms are chic but you feel like you are in an old Paris hotel. And you can't beat the location. Right across from L'Opera and within walking distance or a short cab ride of whatever you want in Paris. Highly recommend.

I had many internet issues on this stay, and found issues finding staff members who could help. Everyone was extremely courteous, but no one seemed to understand how to troubleshoot internet issues (or really understand how to operate computers on a basic level)/I ended up finding a solution by phoning a friend in the US to help.
Even after I payed for better internet, the speed was not as promised (I tested my internet speed and it was half of what I was paying for).
As this was a business trip, having poor internet was very problematic and the reason I would not recommend this hotel to coworkers.

The W in Paris was a beautifully appointed and a very centrally located hotel, across from the Opera Garnier and near many metro lines. The room was super modern and fun, and comfort and luxury were clear priorities. Our concierge was consistently wonderful throughout and employees were very responsive. There was a small mixup with housekeeping which resulted in our room not being made up one night--but the housekeeping manager was more upset bout this than we could be and quickly corrected it. All in all, an extremely good choice for us, and we were so happy with it.

This was a special birthday trip and I had never stayed in a W Hotel before. The location, right across
from the Opera house and Galleries Lafayette was perfect. The staff was wonderful and very helpful.
After check in they called us to make sure the room was okay and we had everything we needed. The layout of the room was good, bed was very comfortable, shower was even better than home!
Looked forward to the special treat left every night at turndown service.
Food was very good and all the staff was always very helpful.
Would very much recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

I have often stay at more traditional hotels in Paris and have had some rather disappointing experiences in more contemporary hotels in Paris. I decided to try the W Paris on a recent business trip. I was surprised that a contemporary hotel in Paris does not have to have an "attitude". The staff were very warm and helpful from the front door to front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant. I would highly recommend the W Paris for business or leisure. Location is great, service is warm and with a caring smile and upholds the Starwood brand. Well done W Paris staff! I will be back.

Finally, I've found a W can really deliver the brand...and more. The 1st W in France, the 1st W on my list!
The stand out feature that makes it so, are the staff, who deliver a world class, professional, yet intimate and personal service delivery (no Parisienne behaviour!). It's a great team, anticipating your needs, delivering flawlessly! Be it the W insider, the WW desk or the team in Arola or the lounge. (I marked down Arola as it feels like the kitchen is not quite delivering at the same level of service)
A fabulous location, a great transformation of the property while retaining the character with the modern sophisticed W feel (next door to the Apple Store), rooms are well appointed and fair sized for Paris.

A lovely hotel across Opera Garnier! We stayed at this hotel for 7 days with 2 rooms. The most staff were very friendly and spoke English we'll. Even though my wife and I spoke French, there was no need for this. I really enjoyed the scrambled eggs from the room service. Our stay was excellent except two things. They couldn't accommodate cleaning our rooms in timely manner. Even though we called them and asked the rooms to be cleaned, they were still not done 6 hours later. That happened 3 days in a row! I thought about mentioning this to the manager, but decided to let it go. The second thing is their exercise room. It is very small with very few equipment. We are returning to Paris, but not sure we will stay here yet.

I want to say THX to the staff at the W - you all were so helpful, friendly and truly amazing hosts!!!
I started planning for my time in Paris a few weeks before I arrived and the concierge was beyond helpful. They made great food suggestions and very cool club reservations :)! The room was gorgeous, the gym was just right and the hotel restaurant was yummy.
I think this W truly know how to live up to "Whatever Whenever." I will comeback to this W every time I get the chance to travel back to Paris!

We had a very pleasant stay at W Paris Opera. The location is great. Walkable to many things. Staff is very helpful and I wanted to highlight the concierge service. Both Claremont and Marko were exceptionally professional and very helpful. Marko went the extra mile. He sent us emails with suggestions for shops and restaurants, called to remind us of our upcoming soccer game start time when we got mixed up on time and didn't show up to pick up tickets. We were very impressed!

This is a terrible hotel with awful rooms and facilities. My client paid €720 for me to stay there last Thursday night . I wouldnt pay €72 to stay here. I will not be recommending it to anyone I know. The rooms are shockingly small, the wash basin is in the bedroom and the toilet is so small, you have to leave the door ajar to fit in. There is no minibar . The night porter is useless and couldnt get us a taxi .
What a kip . I've been doing business in Paris for over 20 years and value for money this is the worst dump I've ever stayed in .

We were checked into a room with used tissues and empty shopping boxes, which wasn't a good start. The previous occupant had also drunk from the minibar which the hotel tried to charge us for on check out. However, the staff responded well to this, paid for breakfast for the remainder of the trip for us, and generally sorted the issue out.
The hotel itself was really nice, good bar, great atmosphere and perfect central location in the city. The rooms were well sound proofed, so no traffic or bar noise at all.
We will definitely be back.

First of all, I would like to point out that the hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. They were willing to help anywhere that they could. We stayed at Paris W during Christmas period, coming back to the hotel room to get ready and head over to AROLA for dinner, found a surprise present from W on the bed. It was unexpected and it was great! Thank you!
Location of the hotel is more than words can describe. It has 3 stations nearby all within short walking distance. A lot of shops around, great for shopping! However, the hotel was a bit difficult to find with the address. It would be great if someone would have told us that W is located right next to Apple store. :)
Our overall experience was truly enjoyable. I would stay back at the hotel again.

We have visited Paris several times, and stayed at different hotels. This hotel has many advantages: It is ideally located in the center of all activities. The room was clean, with nice amenities. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The warmth of the staff, particularly Customer Relations manager (Ms. CR) and the General Manager (Mr. CM), and their genuine interest in the guests is exceptional. We were glad to be there to celebrate an important occasion, and look forward coming back. Thanks for great hospitality.

This hotel fell so far below my SPG expectations and platinum level experience, I am taking the time out to write this review so this type of substandard performance is actioned by the management and other guest are not exposed to it.

First the breakfast spot moved from nice room on first floor to bar floor. Buffet and food quality decreased.
Then W Opera adapted the infamous "A/C capping" policy which does not allow guests to setup the desired temperature above or below certain limits. A sticker next to the thermostat says that you can call 0 and have the limits removed, which I did, they told me it would be done in 20 minutes without entering the room. Nothing happened.
I'll try W Opera once again, but if it does not improves, I'll give up.

Red Eye in from the US = no sleep on the plane. Arrive at the hotel like a zombie and room is not ready. Manager says, "I can have you crash in another room and why dont you come down when you are ready?" Fantastic, I say! Now, many persons have come to a hotel and the staff will say, "sorry, you're gonna have to wait". Needless to say, they made my day. Everyone that works at this hotel is very friendly and loves their job. The only down part is that the Gym doesn't really fit my needs, but that is a personal thing.

I planned a short 4 day Paris getaway - solo - to wander, explore, eat, shop, and take in Paris. The W Paris Opera was the perfect location and home to my incredible 4 days. When I checked into my room, I was so surprised to see a celebration! The staff somehow knew that it was my 25th W stay (I didn't even know this) and made a delicious "W" cake just for me. They also had balloons and a lovely gift. The staff was wonderful, very gracious and helpful. I loved the location...you are next to one of the most beautiful buildings in Europe, minutes to the Metro, surrounded by lots of shops and cafes, and in a bustling, yet safe area. The room was quite comfortable and surprisingly quiet. Thank you W Paris for making my 4 days in Paris unforgettable. I can't wait to return.

You immediately feel at your home away from home at this boutique style W hotel in the heart of Paris! The staff is very welcoming, already spotting you getting out of your taxi across the street and helping you in with your luggage. The Front Desk staff then starts by offering you a cold beverage, and you have immediately forgotten about the fact that you just spent 8 hours travelling.
Ensure to book a room with a view of the Opera, and order the Eggs Benedict for room service breakfast - best I ever had!

Without any hesitation I strongly recommend this hotel.
When you travel for business the small details make the diffrerence, Well the hotel staff know ALL about meeting these. Congratulations!!!
The staff welcome upon arrival and my departure was amazing!!!
The SPG recognition was unique.
The room was superb.
I would however like to suggest to the Barman to work on the alcohol dosage. My strawberry mojito felt more like a non alocholic beverage with club soda.
Will return for sure

We arrived after a long haul flight in the morning for a 4 day holiday and was caught in a 90min jam from the airport. Our room was not available upon check in and was offered a fab suite with cash top up , which is more than double the room we paid and close to online price. Been tired from the long flight, we accepted the offer. Room is nicely furnished though small for a suite. Ours was on a low floor, facing another block, so not much view to boast about.
Overall, staffs were friendly and helpful.

All great except for breakfast. Clean room, helpful staff, great design.
Breakfast though was a let down - wanted a quick bite before a meeting. Requested "scrambled eggs on brown toast". Took almost 30 minutes for a bowl of eggs on their own to arrive. Followed a few minutes later by some white toast. Followed later still by brown toast. None of it tasted particularly good either and wasnt worth being late for my meeting for. No apologies or discount was offered. For the price very disappointing!

This hotel is perfectly located for shopping, opera, ease of access to the Metro and within a easy walk of the Louvre, Place Vendome, Palais Royale and the heart of Paris. From the moment we were greeted at the front door by the bellman until our departure the staff was magnificent, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, fun, thoughtful and uniquely personal. They made the stay memorable. The hotel room and bed were very comfortable and the smallest request was attended to immediately and with pleasure.

The hotel and service was EXCELLENT. The staff was the best!!!! All of the staff/concierge were so nice and professional. That made the stay so enjoyable. This was one of the best W hotels I have ever stayed. I can name the staff names because all of them were so tentative and friendly. Great location to everything. I/we would definitely stay here again. Everyone--staff were incredible, but special recognition to Nicholas, Luc, Sebastain, Pierre, Bruno, and others but cannot remember their names.

We had booked a Cozy room but got upgraded to a Wonderful room, which was nice. Even so, the room was a little small, with little counter space to put anything. Minor inconvenience.
The concierges were absolutely amazing. We had communicated via email right from the time that we booked our hotel, and they helped us with transportation, hotel reservations, and all sorts of information. BEST part about the hotel. We never got a chance to speak to them in person as we were rather busy, but definitely will do so next time.
The housekeeping was not impressive. Cleaning was inconsistent. My dental floss and face wash went missing. Again minor inconvenience but no big deal. Also they put my teddy bear on the floor in the corner, after we had left him on the bed. Who does that?!
Overall great stay!
