Rated 5 out of 5 by dripping faucet Hi Folks, More of an FYI about a dripping bathtub faucet that I let your front desk folks know about just after I arrived in my post check-in. It didn't bother me, but I wanted the team to know, as it's wasteful + should be fixed of course. Was told it would be, but noticed it was still dripping throughout my stay. Rated 4 out of 5 by Tiny Room Whenever you have a room where your legs have to stick out of the door to the bathroom when using the toilet, that is not a good thing. This room was really small. If I was 5'5 or smaller it would not be an issue, but at 6'2 its an issue. Staff was great otherwise and I know the hotel was pretty full. Otherwise it was a nice hotel. March 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by A Little Disappointed... I was a little disappointed on this stay. The staff was excellent as always. However, my room was almost directly on top of the EL and therefore was quite noisy all night long. I expect a little better as a Platinum member. Also, the air conditioner made a racket when it was on. So, I had to turn it off in order to try to go to sleep. July 13, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Unresponsive Staff I stayed at your hotel to attend a symposium on which I was a panelist. The day I checked in everything was OK but the next day when I got up at 6 am to take a shower, there was no hot water. Three times I had to call the front desk before someone finally answered - her only suggestion was to send someone up to take a look at why I had no hot water. I declined this as I was in a huge rush & the woman assured me it would be fixed by the time I returned. I returned to my room at 3 pm. The room had not been turned despite not "going green". The hot water was still not working though the light was on in the bathroom (maybe your staff should be instructed on turning off lights since you are so "green"? I went to the front desk before having to leave for work again & told her that the room hadn't been turned nor had the hot water been fixed. She assured me both would be handled. When I returned from dinner around 10 pm, neither were handled. At this point my patience was running thin. I went to the front desk and asked to speak with a manager. Erica appeared and helped me to resolve the situation. The woman who came to clean my room was more helpful than anyone I had encountered - she got me a fridge for my leftover food and left me a bottle of wine. I was quite satisfied with Erica and the cleaning woman but the rest of my experience was tragic. July 27, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Why is it so dark? I never stayed at this W hotel before and have a simple question- why is it so dark everywhere? The lobby, the registration desk, the elevators and the rooms are dark. Lighting seems to be a rarity. I light bright open spaces and this hotel just doesn't offer it, it seems. Too bad, otherwise it could be a great place. April 4, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by The rooms are very tiny! My room at the W reminded me of a non-upgraded stateroom on a cruise ship. The bathroom was so tiny as to be almost unusable. I book hotel rooms for 3 executives and recommend hotels to our customers for events. After staying at this hotel I can no longer recommend this hotel nor will I be booking W hotels world wide for my team. April 1, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent hotel in a great area The W Chicago city center is centrally located to explore the city and upon arrival we were met with a friendly greeting. Check in was quick and our room had more than enough room for the three nights we were there. The bar and overall atmosphere of the hotel is chilled and relaxed. Another great stay at a W hotel. She made us feel welcome and she is a great asset to your company. The gentleman who checked us out was excelent as well!!! This hotel location was great for us!!! Got one of tiniest rooms in a long time, and one that was facing the subway tracks so every few minutes heard the sound of the subway coming by. OK maybe we are spoiled as Platinum guests but believe the hotel could have done better. December 8, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous Staff! W - Chicago City Center staff was excellent. My very early check-in was handled nicely. The bartender was knowledgeable and very friendly. Be warned: The elevators are a little on the strange side. The room met with my expectations. I do however, prefer a walk-in shower. Overall: I will be staying here again. September 17, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by stay at the W This hotel is near the opera that we attended and also the train station. Cab service is not needed when we tay at the W. We like the hotel for its location especially in Winter. The hotel maintains a high standard and comfort. the staff is always friendly and helpful. Check in and checkout is very efficient. Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Birthday Weekend Away!!! I just have to say Thank You to Eden (My W Concierge), She went the extra “Magnificent Mile” to ensure our stay was a perfect 10!! She provided wonderful suggestions on things to do…The Architectural Cocktail Tour she set up was amazing!!!...We will defiantly be back because of her!!!! We loved the W hotel!! October 3, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Swanky Hotel The W is so beautiful and smells amazing. I could always spot the hotel from down the street, the building is lit up in purple. I thought the staff was super friendly except the front desk personnel. They were cold and lacked personality (very blank face). Other than that my stay was great :) Thanks W Hotel March 20, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Hotel Great hotel for a short weekend vacation. Always have been a fan of the W Hotels and this one met my expectations as well. Debated between this and the W Lakeshore in Chicago. Ended up staying here and was easily in walking distance to many area amenities. Will be trying the Lakeshore on my next visit! October 14, 2013

Also, no outlet near the bed so I could not easily reach for my phone when I woke up or wanted to check email in bed. May 15, 2014

The pillows were quite hard and the temperature fluctuated significantly through out the nights. I was not able to sleep through the night with out waking up regularly (not like me at all!) Rated 3 out of 5 by Room was tiny! I have enjoyed staying at the W in the past but this was my first time at this location. The room I had was so small, you could barely walk around. I paid over $200 and, because of the size, it was not worth the cost. I would not stay in this particular hotel again. April 15, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Needs improvement The check-in & check-out personnel need to be better trained. There was a lot of confusion during these stages of the stay. Also, these persons don't make you feel welcomed, but it seems like they frustrated with the registration system, which shows in their interactions with customers. October 14, 2013

My room basically looked into a brick courtyard. Also no pool. I should have verified before booking, but assumed from staying at other W hotels that a pool is standard. April 26, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Consistently satisfying This was the second time I have stayed at this hotel and I found it to be consistently satisfying. Front desk agents were helpful, the rooms are quite adequate and it is in a good location. If the rates stay competitive I would stay again. May 5, 2014
