Rated 5 out of 5 by Tracy29 Excellent service!
The service was just faultless! We encountered some problems getting money using our international credit/ bank cards and were unable to contact our banks as it was the weekend. Fortunately, the Manager at W Taipei came to our assistance and sorted our problem out! This is by far the best W hotel we've stayed at!! We have already booked our next stay!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at W Taipei. Hotel exceeded my expectations despite being a fairly seasoned traveler. The hotel is refreshing, relatively new and i especially loved the design elements that makes W What is it - a destination hotel for the discerning (whether or not you're there to party). Even the food (tried out the Kitchen Table) was varied from your typical hotel fare and yummy. The gym facilities was amazing too. More importantly, i really enjoyed the great service i received while i was there. They have an excellent service team and its very obvious that they enjoy their work, which is great, cos this 'feel good' feeling about themselves kinda rubs off on the people they come in contact with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KTsao Above and beyond my expectations
I would like to commend Mr. Mike Han, the Welcome Manager of W Taipei, for his genuinely warm hospitality. Mr. Han went above and beyond his normal duty to ensure his guests of the most pleasant experience at the W Taipei. SPG and W Taipei are very fortunate to have Mr. Han as their representative and I was fortunate to get to know Mike.
Every facet of the stay was excellent and W Taipei is my home away from home, when I can afford it, that is. ;)

My room door was opened when i returned one late night. Was told that cleaners have forgotten to close the door. This is terrible. How can such a highly rated hotel make such mistake! Hotel managers apologized after the event but i hope this incident will not be repeated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by VisitorFromSF Wow, what a wonderful hotel!
This is without a doubt my favorite hotel ever. Attentiveness to the guest sums up my experience here. From the clean design aesthetic to the "welcome back" you hear every time you cross the threshold, everything about the W Taipei is working together to make you feel like you're the center of attention. The staff is great--friendly, patient, helpful, knowledgeable. The location is great--right on top of the Taipei City Hall MRT station, you can get anywhere in the city in a flash. Within walking (or stumbling) distance are some of the most interesting cocktail lounges you could hope for, as well as outstanding local food at hundreds of stalls nearby. The uber-cool bars in the hotel attract a hip young crowd, so if you don't feel like leaving the building, you can still be social. The W Taipei is an ideal spot for an urban getaway.

Friendly and efficient service
Nice gym and spa
Food is good, but not as good as Hong Kong for instance and at 10 am the waiters at buffet get too stressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jayjay15 Whenever, Whatever
W hotels around the world operate under the motto Whenever, Whatever, but W Taipei truly embodies that spirit in their service.
Now my friend needed a bouquet of flowers as he was meeting his girlfriend the day after we flew into Taipei. We reached the hotel at 3pm after a long flight, took a comfortable afternoon nap in our lovely suite with a great view of the 101 building, went out for some awesome food after and then we hit the clubs - and clean forgetten about the flowers!
We decided to try our luck at the front desk when we returned to the hotel at 6am, and by 12 noon a gorgeous bouquet of red roses was delivered to our room, and my friend's life was saved.
That is Whenever, Whatever for you. Well done W Taipei!

Rated 4 out of 5 by AngelL Modern and comfortable room. Very attentive and polite staff.
The room features and the staff are all great. The only tiny issue is that there was a Halloween party on the night we arrived and the location of the party was right next to the front desk. It was noisy and the staff and us had to shout when we talked.
But other than that, it is a very nice and modern hotel with very attentive and polite staff.

As a Platinum member, I've stayed at many hotels. The W Taipei is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed at these past two years -- hands down. The service is better than any hotel I've stayed at recently -- everyone is attentive. Most importantly, the W Taipei is very clean and always smells good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LIL717 Lovely Hotel, Great Location, Very Comfortable
Would be nice to have a couch instead of a chair in the room.
The mattress is a little soft, personally prefer more support
The pre-pay rate via Agency is better than direct booking, though my booking is being done directly before checking with travel agency, as I found out too late...

The square-shaped design of the water tap (together with the relatively poor maintanance) make myself hurt my palm when I switch on the tap. Part of my right palm is swollen.

Fresh and spotlessly cleaned throughout my stay. Everything worked too!
However, crowded shuttle lifts between 1-10 ruins the guest experience totally.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ExPat34 Great location for Business in Taipei and....
a great hotel for any reason in Taipei too. Staff is exceptional, fitness and pool facilities are top notch and the restaurants are excellent. I had various transportation needs from the airport and then to meetings and they were accomplished in a seamless manner. Staff is all very well trained and friendly. I have now stayed at the W Taipei twice and both times the rooms are very well laid out and comfortable. All in all, one of my favorite W hotels in all of APAC!

SPG had never failed to keep their brand, from the perfect beds that will really make it hard for you to get up, to perfect breakfast--I love the large selection of foods they offer, to sincerest attitude of the service staffs. keep it up! I'll definitely come back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Regular2MountainView Great product & location, more consistency in delivering SPG Platinum Elite benefits, concierge could be a bit more creative and attentive
This is my 3rd visit in the last 10 months to the W Hotel and it's great to see that my feedback on delivering SPG Platinum elite benefits has been taken and well-implemented. I had a very comfortable stay and the SPG Platinum Elite counter was in operation during the busiest hours.
The only feedback I have is that the concierge could be more attentive and creative plus try a bit harder when a guest asks for suggestions.
One example: My wife was looking for a massage and asked about good or decent spas she could check out. The concierge did recommend one spa which wasn't a choice anyway. Our experience with most higher-end hotels in Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, Shanghai, Beijing is that they'll ask a few questions around price range, location, service options etc. before recommending a range of options to the guest. In the case of the W Taipei, they recommended one spa without understanding what my wife was looking for and when she asked for other options, was told that they (the concierge) didn't know any more. There are other examples but I feel this one exemplifies the feedback I have about the concierge trying harder and being more attentive and creative.

I stayed here for about one month with my three children. The service was more than outstanding. I've stayed at many 5 star properties but the W Taipei really has spectacular management and even more spectacular staff! Everyone is so attentive and are so sincere...from the doormen on the 1st floor to the housekeeping. The "heart" of the people in how they interact with you is truly the difference. Its a home away from home. The location is incredibly convenient as well. There are several malls located in the area. All forms of transportation are located right next to the hotel lobby.
Special thanks to Cary and Florian!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by konstanza A very pleasant stay - every second!
My second time with W Taipei on a weekend getaway, got a corner room with an extravagant 270-degree view! AWAY spa is revitalising as expected. Great choices for breakfast - the Hsinchu rice vermicelli and waffle are my favourites!! Gym is one of the best I have seen in hotels and I wish I could spend more time in every corner of the hotel. Not to mention - the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Just one comment on the rooms - if you can have docks or connection cords for other devices to use your great sound systems then it would just be perfect!
