From the minute we walked into the W Taipei, SERVICE ~ friendly, attentive staff made our first experience at a W Hotel most memorable. Rooms were impeccable down to details. We have recommended this hotel to all our friends and family already (and can't wait to return). Hankyuu Dept Store and MRT (Taipei City) stop below hotel. VERY convenient. 3 easy walking blocks to Taipei 101.
Rated 5 out of 5 by wowwu This' a sexy and happening place
I was very impressed with how responsive Cary(The General Manager) was to my special requests. His friendliness and staffs' service were unparalleled
The Fantastic Suite we've stayed in not only has a great view of Taipei 101, but a great bathroom, with my favorite jumbo sized Bliss products. A great bathroom is essential to a great hotel. Lighting is key. We need lighting that makes us look and feel good, and the room definitely made me happy!

My first trip to Taiwan. Staying at the W made me want to spend more time here. Staff was very helpful and the Lounge was a lot of fun.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Spiritark Love the 'Cary' Service
By far one of the best Ws I've ever stayed at. Room upgrade was swiftly acted upon. Can't thank hotel manager Cary more for the little welcome goodies as well.
I must say that the staff, housekeepers down to the concierge, are top notch. Their earnesty and apt knowledge of the Xinyi/Taipei vicinity were very evident throughout my stay.
If you're into the chic side of Taipei and close access to nightlife, shopping et al, this is the place to stay at.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Geoff Great hotel, is this the best W there is?
Thanks to all the staff at the W Taipei! Pretty much everything about this hotel is above and beyond expectations. The rooms are a feast for the eyes but beyond that are very comfortable and the service is as good as it gets. Beautiful gym and pool facilities, which are necessary with the huge buffets they put on at the Kitchen Table complete with petite fours and home made ice cream. Can't wait for our next trip to Taiwan.
A small side note is that we found Yen to be very average and would recommend maybe looking elsewhere for Chinese food. Of course there is Din Tai Fung at Taipei 101!
Rated 5 out of 5 by Terry405 It's all about the staff
Yes, the hotel is stunning and the location is ideal, however without winning service, it does not mean a thing. I am terrible with names, so forgive me. I will start with Rebecca who started my Taipei journey, she is a gem, a real find, helpful and humerous . She was just one of the staff at registration whom I was extremely impressed. To all the severs at breakfast who run around meeting everyones needs with smiles and kindness.. Also a genuine thanks to the dining manager at night, as we did not have reservations and made us feel right at home ,immediately finding accomidations. He reccomened the local beer which was perfect after a long day. My only suggestion would be the concierge station, it is too confined and uncomfortable to do any type of meaningful transactions
Rated 5 out of 5 by tongue best SPG hotel I have everstay
definately a perfact stay. Not only the decoration, the room, I think the most impressive is the attitude of willing to help. I got two room for my friend`s wedding, It`s a perfact ending of this wedding. The only single word of every guest is just "WOW". Thank you very much for every staff who try best to help us.
It`s the most wonderful stay in my life.
Rated 5 out of 5 by White prompt and excellent service. Great location in a chic neighborhood
The over all experience was wonderful. The 10th floor pool area is a oasis in Taipei. The staff were very courteous and helpful. I would like to especially mentioned the intern Verna. She worked at the 10th floor lobby area. She greeted us every time with a big smile. One time she asked me "Mrs. Hu,I saw you in and out few times a day and it seems to me you're very busy. Is there anything I can help you?" What a great attitude. Proactive and enthusiastic. I happened to need someone to confirm my flight. She took care of it right away. I think the hotel should give her a rave review when her internship is up. She attends College in Kaoshiung.
Rated 5 out of 5 by gster78 Possibly my favorite Starwood hotel
I love the W Taipei. From excellent accommodations, to terrific dining options (especially Yen), and the best staff service outside of Tokyo, this is a world-class hotel. Centrally located, and totally living up to the W brand (but without overdoing it).
Rated 5 out of 5 Great Location and Service
The hotel is right next to the MRT station, has lots of big shopping centres surrounding it, and lots of eateries surrounding the building. The food in the hotel was very good too.
The comfort level in the room was fantastic, and the rain shower was nice. Where possible, everyone should try out this hotel.
Rated 5 out of 5 by ricenchips Best Hotel in Taipei
By far the best hotel in Taipei ... great facilities and fantastic staff ... makes going to Taipei a joy!
Rated 5 out of 5 by CD88 Great location, great facilities and great rooms!
Great location, great facilities and great rooms! If you like the modern look & hip pipe in music, then you will never want to stay in any other luxury hotel in Taipei.
Pity the service from front office staff is below par. The person who served us on check in was rather rude and unhelpful. Perhaps more time on the job & training will help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by John WOW
I have stayed in Starwood hotels from Westin, St. Regis, Le Meridien to luxury collection, and W is WOW. This hotel is new, in a very expensive location of Taipeh. The food and service are fantastic. The staff are very conscious in meeting the needs of its guests. I will surely return.
Rated 5 out of 5 by RAT2 This hotel is expensive but has it all
Wonderful time, great hotel. Never thought it a hotel could be so nice.
Rated 5 out of 5 by HelenaW The Best
The most enthusiastic and responsive staff we have ever seen anywhere! Gracious. Efficient. Hotel is clean, modern, beautiful - excellent decor. Lunch and dinner buffets are excellent. Fitness center - the best we have seen anywhere.
Minor issue: the concierge staff was excellent, but they did not inform us of all of the night markets available in Taiwan... they need to get that into their listings.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worldcruzin Great Service, Great Location, Great Hotel
If you like to be seen, this is the hotel for you. Staff knowledge of Taipei is fantastic. They were able to find what I am looking for and their recommendations are awesome. I would definitely stay there again.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Roadwarrior A Gem
The gem of W Hotels (and I've stayed at many of them). This property has outstanding service, nicely-designed and spacious rooms, and all the amenities you'd want (a real spa!)...right in the heart of downtown. Wish the new W Hotels in the US were this outstanding.
Rated 5 out of 5 by i0e192 Wish I could give more stars
This stay at W Taipei is by far the best hotel experience I had in my exensive travels around the world staying at various 5 star hotels.
Staff is young but very professionally trained giving them a blend of youthful enthusiasm and professional knowledge that is unmatched in the industry.
I really wish I could gve more stars to show how good this hotel really is. If your budget allows, staying more than 3 days makes you want to stay forever.
Rated 5 out of 5 by DavidA The Best W So Far
I gotta give it to the W crew - this time they create a fantastic hotel! The setup with the Bar, Pool, Poolbar, Reception and restaurant is just amazing!.
Wrt platinum recognition, nothing to complain at all! Location is good, Ambiance superb and room design is thoughtful, warm and yet cool design.
Rated 4 out of 5 by kcw007 Very relaxing stay, excellent customer service
The W hotel staffs have excellent customer service, they attended every need to make our stay very pleasant.
Rated 4 out of 5 by vegabeagle Very nice but food needs improvment
The hotel, service, rooms and gym are all very nice. The main concern when visiting Taipei is finding food that works for western taste buds. My hope was that W would have this sorted but it didn't meet my expectations.

Very good experience. staff was outstanding.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Vidan Superb bed with excellent pillow
After a long day of either business or sight seeing, a good night sleep in a comfortable bed would make a big difference.
Rated 4 out of 5 by timothylmh The hotel is a bit overated
The hotel is at a very good location. However, the service itself not as how it is being rated which I heard from the mass.
Rated 4 out of 5 by HCLin Great Hotel
This is my fourth time to stayed here. All the experience were very good except check-in. Like last thursday I booked the packages but when I checked-in in the reception, no one informed me what elses benefits or couples could enjoy or give me. I have to ask the reception again and wait their long feedback. It's not the first experience, it,s my second time to suffer this situation. So good facilities alwasys require clever staffs.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Wongwai I left something in the room.
The room is spacious, at least more spacious than the other W hotels in New York and HK.
The staff is smart and kind. I've left a pack of mullet roe in the refrigerator. I've called the front desk and inform them about my careless mistake. They promised me to keep it properly in the freezer and wait for me to collect it next month.
This is a very kind and nice gesture. I hope I can really get it back next month.
Rated 4 out of 5 by ShaneLean Contemporary design and strategic location
The hotel overall is modern design, good location. Howeer, wifi only free for members and two are allowed to access.
The facility, toileteries, snack bar, spa are good, especially the toilet bowl is spectacular with seat warming , washing and drying features
Rated 4 out of 5 by SYChan One of the landmark for Taiwanese elites
Great location, staff attitude was excellent, very good view of 101 from my room.
But compare to other w hotels, Taipei W was rather 'crowded'. A lot of people just to come up and walk around.
Breakfast quality was good but too many non-staying guests came and always make the restaurant so full and crowded. I had been allocated in the bar area which was so far away and not comfortable for having meal. Then I chose to sit outdoor when I was a little bit of rain. I saw many hotel guest unwilling to sit outdoor because of the weather. And they never got a seat until 11am the breakfast closed.
