Rated 5 out of 5 by Iceberge All is great but avoid Otto
I stay at the W Montreal weekly. The staff is great, the rooms awesome and the overall atmosphere is second to none.
On my last stay 02/27 I decided to eat lunch at the restaurant Otto on the property. This was not a wise choice. The food was just average and the staff not very pleasant (a bit rude). I would not recommend this restaurant unless they learn some service skills from the rest of the hotel staff and fix their menu.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Norm101 Eccentric experience
W definitely took a different approach than a typical hotel. The mood lighting and overall feel of the place was a bit eccentric and interesting.
Although a later than typical check-in (3PM), we were able to work around the inconvenience. On the other hand, the late check-out option was very nice.
The service and people were very nice and accommodating to their clientele.
The overhead music was not my preference; although was well suited to the overall younger generational mood and environment. Could have done without the music until the wee hours of the morning after an exhausting trip when trying to sleep.
In summary, it was a good experience and would consider re-visiting in the future.
Note to Manager: You may consider delaying the image change-over on the W hotel channel (in the room). I was interested in looking at the worldwide locations; however if one blinked, the image was already gone; which was unfortunate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Echaddad This Hotel Has The Best Manager
My review is simple. I ask for something, and I get it. This hotel is extremely friendly, the staff are great, the management office is outstanding, and I cant thank the entire team enough for what they do for me when I come to this hotel.
Fantastic service and pure quality and class.
Special Thanks to the management office.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Thanks1 This hotel is beautiful but needs some courtesy options
This is a beautiful hotel and the ambience is what their guests are looking for. However, the hotel gives off the image that all the company is interested in is making money. This is the only hotel I have stayed at where there was nothing that was a courtesy. The hotel expects you to pay $5 for water bottles,$15 for the Internet, $20 for parking or $40 for valet, and they even expect you to pay for an umbrella. The hotel really is beautiful but it is a turn off that the hotel is looking to profit on all your needs and services during your stay. If your wealthy then you will love giving your money away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CinRan high-quality *wood property and staff. . .
This property has everything you would want and/or expect from a *wood property.
I stayed at the property for a week-long business trip:
*I communicated with a rooms manager during the lead-up to the trip and was provided with excellent and professional help.
*Staff consistently provided enough attention to make sure my needs were met, while respecting my need for peace and quiet.
*Room was clean, organized, and very sufficient for a week stay.
*Location is great, with access to all major downtown activities.
*I encountered one issue with room maintenance which was promptly addressed. Rooms manager contacted me personally to ensure i was satisfied.
I highly recommend this property for it's location, comfort, professional and accommodating staff.
