We were upgraded to a Marvelous Suite.
I have heard mixed reviews to upgrades here, but if you can get one its great.
The lower part of the building is the hotel and the top floors are residences.
It's about a $30 dollar cab ride to the airport.
The hotel's gym is one of the best as it is a private gym which guests have access to.
Some great restaurants in Santiago are
Azul Profundo-local restaurant in the city
Tiramisu- across the street, great atmosphere and amazing pizza
Coquinaria- located under the hotel, great place for lunch-good sandwiches
I highly recommend all three of those restaurants!
The pool here is very nice and the views from the pool deck at night are the best in the city.

W Hotels are generally very good and bring a modern flair. This hotel it just doesn't work.
Showers take several minutes to warm up and, for your own sake, do not attempt to adjust the temperature while showering. 5 nights I stayed there and had one decent shower. The rest were like army showers. Endure the cold or scalding water long enough to get wet. Wash hair, endure water to rinse etc.
I will not return. For associates travelling, we will book elsewhere as well.

Overall, this is an excellent hotel. It is well located in El Golf, near plenty of excellent restaurants. Located within the premises are Osaka, km0 and Coquinaria, all of which are delicious.
The breakfast quality is hit-and-miss. There is a reasonable selection to choose from, but they only have bran cereal once every five days, for example. The bacon looks grey and the eggs are a soup. However, the omlettes are quite good. The coffee is awful. So, hit-and-miss. Service is so-so.
NOTE: Sunday brunch is awesome! DO GO.
Guests have access to the gym, which is very well equipped, has classes, a sauna, a steam room, and a yoga studio. It is a public gym, but is by far the best hotel gym I have used.
The staff at the front desk are excellent. Robin and Mario deserve special recognition for their excellent service. They helped me out consistently during my stay.
Service in the bar area is atrocious. It is very difficult to get a drink and you are often asked to pay for each drink separately, seemingly without reason.
The major complaint I have is about the facilities:
1. There have been ongoing water problems. Sometimes it is turned off, sometimes it is too hot (and cannot be turned down) and sometimes too cold. Often the shower knobs don't work. On multiple occasions I have had to shower in the gym.
2. The elevators. Not sure what the issue is but one of the elevators opens and closes over-and-over before finally closing. It was fixed but now two others (out of three) are out of service.
Overall, a great spot that I would happily recommend. But, some upgrades are required to make it the spectacular offering that it has the potential to be.

Booked a suite.
Arrived at 730 pm on Jan 18th. was told room was ready but that it was a smoking room and floor. I never book smoking rooms.
When we got to the room, a girl ran out of the room. We opened the door. Despite it beinng nearly 8 pm, the cleaning supplies were still in the room andthe room was not ready. We had to wait in another room for 30 minutes.
I had made a restaurant reservation by phone from the airport. When we got to the hotel, they said we did not have a reservation. Thenthey said we did, but for an hour later than booked. When we got to the restaurant, the maitre 'd gave us attitude and made us wait.
When we sat down, the waiter then questioned whether we were allowed to sit there.
The food at Terrazza was mediocre at best.
When we went back to the room, we realized that we had been given a nail kit that was already open.
The next day we hung around the pool. the pool is ver nice but the bar up there is closed which means you cant order drinks.
On the last morning, I arranged for room service at an early hour before my flight, It never arrived so I missed breakfast.
I paid 650 per night U S dollars. Total ripoff for what I got.

This hotel far surpassed any expectations I had! It is one of the best hotels I've stayed at anywhere around the world and that is due in part to both the incredible staff and the amazing amenities. The bilingual staff is top-notch, especially those working at the breakfast restaurant NoSo. After just a few days the staff was addressing me by name and Sebastian, the maitre d' there, defines the epitome of customer service. The Red2One rooftop bar, with its breathtaking views of the entire city of Santiago, is one of my favorite bars worldwide. For me, the only place to stay in Santiago is the W Santiago!!

I really expected a lot more of this hotel. I have stayed here before and it had been very pleasant, this stay was quite the opposite.
1. Rooms looked worn down (dirty ceiling, broken shades/drapes, hard to function shower knob since it was bent, water faucet with leak)
2. Knowledge of my company rate was poor, I was advised that breakfast was included and in the 3rd day in the restaurant I was notified that it was not...in addition, these charges were not removed despite not leaving me the choice of defining where to go spend my money.
Really not recommendable

I booked a one-night stay with my SPG points for a romantic birthday getaway. Upon checking in, I was told that I had been selected for an upgrade to the Extreme Wow suite - which is their presidential suite. Once they learned it was my birthday, they surprised me even further. When you're given a 2,000 square foot palatial room, you are unlikely to leave the hotel, so we had dinner at Osaka, Peruvian Japanese cuisine. The food, service, atmosphere and drinks were excellent. The breakfast buffet was nice and diverse, with a wide selection of hot, cold, sweet and savory items as well as many different juices and champagne. All of this at merely the preferred status level, which means that SPG has earned a lifelong customer and the next time I go to Santiago, I will be staying at the W. (Also: the metro was within walking distance and the parking was affordable at the hotel.)

It s such a pleasure to be sorrounded by quaity music all the time. Either at the elevator or while having breakfast, the best tunes delight the passengers years.
