I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions. This last time was the worst. We were woken up on several occasions by hotel staff checking on a water problem across the hall after midnight. After the 3rd time opening the door and asking them to quiet down, the front desk called our room and offered us to move. We ended up having to move rooms at 1am. Nothing was comped and I was told I would receive only 8,000 start points for my inconvenience that I have not yet received. I was very disappointed!!!!

Very unclean, staff marginally helpful, room not acceptable. Upon checking into the hotel, a used condom was found on the side of the bath tub. Discusting!! Then the towels left for us to use revealed one bloody towel poorly washed. The air conditioning didn't work and a person was sent for a "temporary fix" until the maintanence crew came back to work on Monday. The front desk offered a free drink, 2000 spg points[may have been 3000 points] but no room change or upgrade. Lousy experience.

When I walked and saw the Lobby I was expecting just impressive design but no function. I was very impressed that this hotel has both. Everything was functional and easy to get to, yet everything about the hotel was cool. The Whenever/Wherever staff was awesome and really was so nice about every request.

Doors extremely noisy upon closing, ice maker close to room also very noisy, towels were stained frayed and had holes in them.

This hotel does not represent the W brand well. During our stay we had to repeatedly call for towels because the maid told us the hotel was "waiting for a delivery." Of towels? During our stay, the hotel also ran out of bottled water. This is not a terrible inconvenience but seemed strange. We had poor customer service, especially considering the standard set by W hotels.
The rooms are fine and the beds are comfortable. The lobby area is clean and well kept up.
There are multiple spg properties in New Orleans I would recommend but this is not one of them. I was so put off by my last stay that I will likely not return to this property.
For those who choose to stay here, it is in easy walking distance to the Canal Shoppes, the French Quarter, and multiple restaurants. The property is conveniently located and, if they could fix "deliveries" and customer service, may be a nice hotel.
