i had a wonderful expierence at this W until my last night. I had to call security 3 times starting at 1:00 AM to ask the guests in the next room to break up the party. Finally at 1:45 security ask them to break it up. The guest commet was "we are on central time" . Very Rude. Although the hotel is not responsible for there behavior, they have an obligation to all there guests no matter there time zone of origin. Overall I would recommend this hotel. Loved the decor, food was great and amenities outstanding.

The staff were great. My room was comfy but DIM. Could hardly see to apply makeup, even using make-up mirror provided. Lots of trouble with internet. My meeting code would not work in the meeting room, and my room internet was cut off the morning of my checkout by the time I woke up at 7 am. I think it should at least extend till checkout (I checked out at 10 am). When I called the number listed for wireless help, I was on hold so long I finally gave up.

The mid town location is very convenient.
What sets this hotel apart from other W's are the staff!
Simone at Front Desk was an amazing associate!
Nicole, Chem and Matthew at Spice Market were delightful!
Scott with the Acura service was brilliant!
The pool was small but the service and staff made up for it.
Breakfast was great! A little slow on my last day but otherwise great hotel. Spice Market is a must try and the ginger rice is INCREDIBLE!!!!

W Atlanta - Midtown is top notch. It is beginning to become my new "home away from home" when visiting Atlanta for the weekend.
Pros - Excellent customer service, platinum status recognized, extensive gym and workout area, clean and spacious rooms, excellent late night "munchies" for the after party and so much more. The staff goes out of their way to make me feel welcome and at home. Thanks for another memorable weekend!
Cons - I can't live here! The rooms are so comfy I never want to leave!

Rated 5 out of 5 by GreyhoundMom Great Hotel, Staff, Location
My husband and I stayed at the W during Music Midtown in September. We had a wonderful stay.
Hotel/Rooms: The hotel and rooms were all modern, attractive and comfortable.
Location: The hotel is in a great location. We walked from the Marta (very easy from the airport), it was as close as you can be to Piedmont Park, and was walking distance to several bars and restaurants.
Staff: Everyone was great. The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful. The housekeeping staff gave us two bags to use as makeshift ponchos during the torrential rain for one of the concert days (thanks!). We had drinks at the Living Room bar on night one and they remembered our names the next night (always nice). I had to reach out to the manager (Lukus) after our stay and he promptly responded to and resolved our issue.
We will be back when our travels bring us back to Atlanta!

Rated 4 out of 5 by ShaggyMEB Older Facilities Need Updating, But Amazing, Accommodating Staff
Was in Atlanta for a couple of days on business, and opted for the W Atlanta Midtown since it was conveniently located in the Midtown area, which I love for dining and nightlife. I was pleased at the location being close to many great attractions, while also being a short walk from the MARTA station, which made getting to and from the airport a breeze.
I've got to give major compliments to the staff, as every crew member that I encountered greeted me with a smile, offered their name, and asked if they could do anything to improve my stay. The GM's email address is readily available and guests are encouraged to email him if there are any issues during the stay. I tested this when I was unable to upgrade my room as an SPG Platinum but found suites bookable on the hotel website, and received a prompt response from Michael Tommy with an apology and an upgrade to a WOW suite. Fantastic staff.
The first room I received was a Wonderful Room, and this is where the hotel needs a bit of improvement. The furnishings in the room were really starting to show their age, with lots of chipped wood and scratched surfaces. The room itself was nice sized and adequate, but really just felt worn and needing some updating.
The WOW suite that I was later upgraded to was, indeed, WOW. Very spacious, well appointed, and comfy. I loved the spa tub and the shower was among the best hotel showers I've encountered. The living space is huge and great for entertaining guests or having a meeting at the hotel. Only gripe here was that I was unable to get the surround sound to work with the television, but really this is a minor thing as I really didn't have enough time to watch anything anyway.
Overall I had a great experience at this hotel. Though the facilities could use a little work, the staff was absolutely fantastic. Once the facilities are updated, this will be a five star property.

The W Hotel is a wonderful hotel. We came for the Falcons/Cowboys game and stayed three nights. We enjoyed our stay and could not ask for a better staff. The rooms were great and the on-site restaurants saved us from looking for decent food. The only thing we were not pleased with was the parking. Although, the Valet service was efficient and excellent, $30 per day to park was a little steep. I normally do not write reviews, but I could not let a hotel with such good service and staff go unnoiticed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by IKPlat11 WOW - No kidding!!
The W Atlanta Midtown has become my favorite Atlanta hotel. The staff is amazing, and the hotel is beautiful. This time I was upgraded to a WOW Suite, and, it was indeed WOW! Each time someone would walk into the room, their first reaction was "WOW!!"
My wife and I also had an amazing experience at the Bliss Spa, where I got a massage and she got a facial scrub.
The only issue during this visit was that I lost one of my favorite shirts while switching rooms, and the hotel was unable to locate it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by djjazz This hotel didn't make me feel wanted
I had to show my room key and state issued identification each time I re-entered the hotel property. This was ridiculous! !. Also, access to the food court was blocked as well. I wish the sports bar adjacent to your establishment would conduct a survey. That staff and management went above and beyond by providing an EXCELLENT CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE!!! Lastly I'm not sure what type of cleaning solvents are used to clean the bathrooms?? But it leaves a urine type aroma STINKY.

Initially parked in self parking garage and despite calling twice no one would come open the door for us to enter and check in. Locked out again when going into shopping center for dinner. Whiskey Park supposed to be available for guests but was closed for private party, unless I wanted to pay $20 cover charge. Room had lamp with bad switch, bad shower diverter lever, loose tub spout, and loose tub drain cover. And thin walls as evidenced by the 3 a.m. sorority party in the adjacent rooms.

The hotel was very nice. Very close to all we wanted to do in the Atlanta area. The only draw back was WiFi had a charge if you wanted to use any devices other then a hard feed. The hard feed was also very slow. In this day and age not to have a good Free WiFi is unrealistic. Also you had to ask if you wanted a coffee pot in the room. That also should be standard. TV was also in a odd place to watch it. Also it would been nice if the small refrig had room for our own cold stuff.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Not2Hip Overpriced, annoying...but a few bright spots
I've stayed in several boutique hotels, but this property felt like it was trying too hard to be 'hip'.
1) Crowd of what appeared to be staff outside front door. Had to weave in and out them to get in the hotel.
2) Seemed well-used and ready for a face-lift. Carpets and paint showing wear. Where there were baseboards they were covered in dust (e.g. my bathroom).
3) Concierge was not to be found
4) Clutter in room...weird setup. Too much stuff laying around (brochures, toy car, notepads), cheap-looking furniture,. Felt like a dorm room.
1) Great location
2) Very friendly folks and check in and out and valet.
3) Hotel lounges very popular.
Generally, I was underwhelmed by this property and feel the rate was 2X its worth, This will be Plan B or C on my next trip to the area.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Buster88 Too Dark! BEWARE OF BOTTLED WATER IN ROOM!
I really wanted to like this hotel but it was not great.
The lobby is dark and the service was slow.
The rooms are equally dark with random lighting. Several things were in need of repair - shades were broken, lights needed repair, even the decorative headboard was broken! REALLY?!
**Also, BEWARE OF BOTTLED WATER!! SOME ARE FREE AND OTHERS ARE $5 EACH! BOTH BOTTLES HAVE TAGS SAYING "DRINK UP" - I resent a "Bait & Switch" trick. NOT APPRECIATED!

We loved this hotel. It is modern and fun.
We did not know that tips are included in restaurant bill and and left tips on top of it. Next day we came back when we realized that wepaid tips twice and manager was very nice and polite and said they will credcit our carod back for extra tips. I never acctually happened.
Also you need to explaine the parking situation. It is $30 for valet parking and it covers you in and out all day vs. self parking you pay every time you are out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bernerlover This W will "WoW'
I've stayed at W hotels before and always had a fine time. The Halloween party in the lobby drew some "edgy" guests, who were intriguingly costumed at a pretty high level, which was fun and interesting to observe if not to participate.
I decided to pay for an upgrade in advance, rather than rely on Starwood Gold availability at check-in, and was accommodated in a top floor room next to the elevators. This location should be avoided. The elevator machinery whirred, clanked and groaned during my entire visit, and although I slept well, I was not comfortable in the room during waking hours to read or relax. To be fair, I was offered another room, but by the time I understood the problem, I was in for the night, dressed in sleepwear, so I didn't want to re-pack & move. The staff was helpful and sympathetic. I now know to avoid the top floor near the elevators. I have never had this much problem with elevator noise and was surprised that it bothered me so much.
The room itself was comfortable and modern in decor and function. The hotel was "wow" in terms of architecture and features.

I stayed at the W (midtown) for a wedding. I was so comfortable with the room that I didn't want to leave my room. The down pillows were plush and sheets were clean... and the room smelled awesome. I am so in love with the chain of W that it will always be my first choice from now on. All the workers down to the valet guys showed great customer service and made us very comfortable. I am excited that they are worldwide and can't wait to book with them in the future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by brit1212 This hotel is okay...
The lobby is ornate and the staff is very nice, but the rooms are just decent. The decor is slightly tacky and starting to wear. You can tell that they have been used a lot. The iphone/ipod deck is for the older versions and didn't even work correctly. I feel like all hotels in the united states should have free wifi for guests. Very primitive. It was a very basic hotel room compared to my expectations. The location is great for anything in midtown though.

First time staying at a W hotel. I was very excited but was not totally impressed. Stayed in room 1512, the door had all types of scrapes on it where bags had been banging into it. One of the drawer pulls was on the floor of the room when we entered. The desk was visibly warped by wet drinks probably. The headboard grommets were not affixed correctly. The toilet lid was broken...etc.
Was the stay adequate? Sure. Was it a "Spectacular" experience for the price, no.

Service was great up until the last day I was there. The whenever/wherever service forgot to give me my wake-up call and I almost missed my flight. When I called to inform them that they had forgotten my wake-up call a woman answered the phone and continued to finish her personal story before acknowledging I was on the line and saying "hello". I think some of the female staff in whenever/wherever should be reassessed. Everyone else was very pleasant and helpful

Rated 3 out of 5 by ttanner Great customer service and nice, clean rooms
I was here for a business meeting and the hotel provided all our food. There was never enough. The first night the bar ran out of beer. The second day at lunch they ran out of drinks. They also provided snack food during breaks and the food and drinks were always gone before everyone got through line. This was mentioned to the serving staff at every event and they stated that when they ran out, there was no more. They could not get additional food or drinks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PMMarketer nice hotel but the service isn't up to the standard of the decor
the rooms and amenities were nice BUT the service at the Spice restaurant AND at the bar were horrible. I waited for over an hour for eggs Benedict and then when they finally did come out of the kitchen, they were grossly overcooked. My server failed to refill my coffee until i asked repeatedly and, although she was terribly sorry for the delay, and comp'd us our meals, she didn't even think to bring us toast or make any other accommodations.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mikey1138 Maintenance needed
From the entrance of the hotel to the bathroom sink in the room, repairs and maintenance were needed in many places. Dirty sliding door at entrance, elevator not accepting key card after 3 tries, scuffs along baseboard in the hallways, grungy feeling in the lobby lounge area under the stairs, public bathroom not clean. Those are just the public areas. In the room it continues. The base boards in the room were damaged or loose. The veneer on the nightstand tables were delaminating, the wall neer the shower had plaster crumbling, the shower tile grout needed regrouting, the bathroom sink was cracked in several places.
The bed however was clean and very comfortable. Overall the property feels run down and it feels like the staff does not care about it. It's sad to see a higher end SPG property decay this way.
Please invest in people and basic maintenance.

Our room had a refrigerator that leaked and the room had mildew in it. The only offer the hotel offered was to downsize from two beds to one. Had to stay in the room that smelled like kitty litter. Traffic around the entrance of the hotel made it difficult to leave or enter the hotel. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. View from the hotel was nice. Overall, I would not stay at this hotel or suggest it to other people for the Atlanta experience.

Rated 2 out of 5 by SSB28 Disappointing stay
I was very excited to stay at the W during my first trip to Atlanta, and I wish I had a raving review. However, my room was located right next to the elevator which was extremely loud all night. Around midnight, when I couldn't sleep, I called to the desk to see if another room was available. The staff member 'assured' me that the noise would calm down within 30 minutes. It never calmed down, and I am very surprised that these rooms are filled by the W.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Hudson56 Nice features but poor execution
The W Midtown is not up to the standards of other four and five star hotels. It has all the requisite features but falls short in the execution. The room was interesting/edgy design-wise, but did not have quality furnishings. The sliding door dividing the restroom from the suite did not operate. The walls and ceilings are paper thin and transfer any and all noises. The towel bar in the restroom is within the toilet "splash zone" and cannot be moved.

So we stayed here last January for my partner's birthday. Upon arrival I contacted the team and wanted to make some arrangements -- once we arrived, we had a beautiful room with gorgeous view and chocolate strawberries and some champagne was waiting on the room as they knew it was my partner's birthday. HOW WONDERFUL! The entire stay was just a delight and the guy who checked us in was just adorable and helpful. We loved the vibe of the hotel as well.

The staff was exceptional! The stay was gifted to my husband, who needed a fews days away. He spoke highly of the chic decor, staff and the service that was provided. Tamara went above, and beyond to help me with my cc authorization from 800 miles away, so that he'd have a smooth check in, and any/all issues were addressed immediately. I give the Midtown W 5's across the board, and would definitely recommend to my friends, and family in the future!

This hotel was in an awesome location, only minutes from Piedmont park and many nice restaurants, including Einsteins. The hotel has a great lobby set-up that is conducive for both individuals and groups. It has a very nice patio area where you can join up with many friends. The staff was helpful. The food was good.
The rooms are stocked with a nice array of snacks for purchase, unlike other hotels I've been to.
I'd highly recommend this hotel.

The person who checked me into my room was very accommodating and made the remainder if my stay more tolerable. The valet area was extremely busy and it took one of my guest 15 minutes to get into the hotel which made me late for an event that I had to attend. The first room I was put in smelled of cat urine and I was not able to get placed into another room until almost 2 hours later which also put me in a situation where I was late for my event. I had to elect to get ready in the room that smelled and switch later into the evening. This was very unacceptable. I was very disappointed with the parking situation. For a one night stay I had to pay 33.00 to park. There is no other option for free parking at the location. Overall I was disappointed in the stay but I was very happy with the young lady who checked me into the hotel and helped me move my belongings.
