Valet was good. Other than that one issue after another with this W. Room service was out of it seemed like half the menu when I ordered. Then, for breakfast I asked if it would show up on my bill within an hour for me since I was checking out and they assured that it would, then of course it wasnt. So, when I am checking out I wait forever to find the guy and clear it up. Then, I pay my bill in cash, waiting another 10 minutes for the person to get a manager for change. Then, they charge my credit card anyway and as of yet have not given me a refund. Avoid this W, especially since Atlanta has so many other good options.

I spent several days at the W-Midtown and was not very impressed. First thing that came to mind was the Valet Parking, I think $32.00 a day is too much for guest especially SPG members. Secondly, the room service was inadequate. The first day the room was in order, the next 2 days, I had to request more towels and it did not appear that the bathrooms had been properly cleaned. In addition, I had to wait until 8PM to get my room clean one night which is unacceptable. The pool was way to small and the food and non-alcoholic drink menue could use a bit more variety. Ice Tea, Fuit Punch, Lemonade something tropical. Just saying not everyone drinks alcohol. The one bright spot was William at the front desk who appeared to be a model employee

overall a great holiday weekend. hotel was very lively if not crowded. mob scene at checkin but fortunately as a gold level guest, we were able to get into our room right after 3pm.
spent two afternoons the the pool. Definitely a party scene, but very cool. Not for kids or conservative folks. Felt like I was in scene from RHOA at times. room was very stylish and comfortable but shop worn from high traffic. great location for midtown and Buckhead shopping. Good time here, just be prepared for a lively atmosphere and lots of traffic.

Rated 3 out of 5 by mrgotter This is a W?
Probably my least favorite W property and I've stayed at a lot. Had to change rooms 3 times, the reception staff was not as professional as what I am used to with a W. Calling for my car in the morning I thought i was calling a call center in India...just not the experience i expected with what W usually delivers.

I was completely underwhelmed during my visit to your hotel THIS time. it was as if someone had gone through the room and unplugged lights (from sockets that were behind the desk area and under the bed), the clock radio didn't work and the room lacked the usual "readiness" that I have come to expect from your hotels - and this one in particular. Additionally, my room was located near the entrance to the pool and was incredibly noisy. What surprised me was that you would put a guest in a room like that when your facility was not even close to fully booked. I will say that your staff was courteous and the valet guys were incredibly helpful and nice, even offering me a cold bottle of water, although $32 to park seems high. Overall, it just wasn't the experience I've come to expect from W or any of the SPG facilities. Disappointed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by MissJenny Great location, fun hotel
The hotel is walking distance to great restaurants, entertainment, and shops. The ambiance and activity level of the hotel worked fine for the purpose of my trip--in town for a wedding. Not the ideal place if you're looking for a quiet retreat as there is plenty of activity in the lobby with the bar as well as the Wet deck. The walls are "thin" in that you can hear some of the noise in the hallways, but overall the rooms are great and the staff was responsive. Fun hotel, though!

Rated 4 out of 5 by LuluJack Good Stay, but a couple improvements
I went on a holiday weekend and it was surprisingly not crowed. The staff was friendly and helpful but when calling for things to be delivered to your room it felt like it took forever (had to call twice to make sure we weren't forgotten). The Whenever, Whatever policy is legit. They really strive to meet all your needs.
I was a little put off on the parking situation but that comes with planning for your stay. If you have no problem with valeting your car expect to pay $32/night. The good thing is that you can go in and out as much as you please with the extra money you pay per night. There is an alternative to park in the public garage that is right next to it, but you would be spending more money doing that; so you really are left with no choice but to valet.
Be cautious with the "in room" munchy bar. You may find yourself being charged for things that you didn't even drink or eat. If you take things out of the fridge to make room for something you purchased from a restaurant or grocery store and store them in the fridge, there is a possibility the staff will overlook that and think you drank the drinks and charge you and exorbitant amount of money to your room; So beware.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay. There was a lot to do nearby and sometimes in walking distance. If ever back in Atlanta, I might stay here again.

It was a quick taxi ride to the GA Congress Center. Lots of informal, comfy meeting spaces scattered throughout lobby and upstairs. We will definitely be back.
