Rated 5 out of 5 by Staff is wonderful! The staff at the W Hotel is amazing! I was there for my bachelorette weekend in mid September. Everyone from the bell captain, front desk, shuttle drivers, housekeepers and manager were so kind, courteous and professional. It was never forced or fake. Very personal and natural! Erin was extremely helpful as well. She even sent a bottle of Moet and card to welcome me, The Bride! Everything was spot on and coming from Los Angeles and Orange County, the Southern Hospitality was really appreciated! We were so pleased with the great staff, that we left them sodas, snacks, cookies, and chips as a THANK YOU! October 5, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Friendliest staff imaginable!!! We had a great visit from beginning to end. My friend and I wanted a get a way week end to relax, eat good food and have fun at night. All of that happened. This is the friendlist staff around in every department ! Especially Scott at the front desk who also appreared in practically every department helping out. He is the BEST! It seemed as though it was every department's first day with knowledge and professionalism lacking tremendously. Unfortunately, this is a common theme in the W chain throughout the US. Rated 5 out of 5 by Affordable Luxury Needing a nice weekend getaway from the late summer boredom that sets into the Atlanta suburbs in early August, the W seemed like a good idea. We were right! With only two night's to spare from our busy schedules, the W in Buckhead fit the bill. Staff were attentive with out being overbearing, the Wet Deck is a great place to be seen with out be pretentious, and after an evening on the rooftop at Whiskey Blue, wifey and I after retiring back to the room in the wee hours, ruffled the sheets a bit, and then simultaneously melted into them for a quiet and well deserved nights rest. The next weekend doesn't seem like it will come soon enough... August 7, 2012

My cousin and I celebrated our birthdays at the hotel while visting the Buckhead area. Thanks so much and we will consider staying here again in the near future. August 6, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Noisy and may have bedbugs I reserved a room as a surprise for my husband's birthday. Initial appearances were encouraging - the staff was certainly pleasant and helpful - but despite the warnings outside the elevator on the floor, the other guests were very noisy. The A/C was very loud too. Finally, a day after our stay, we're both itching like crazy and have discovered at least ten tiny bites each. I can't say for sure that it was bedbugs - I checked and this hotel didn't have any reports anywhere - but we haven't been anywhere else in the last 48 hours. We won't stay there again. Rated 4 out of 5 by Heart of Buckhead I live in Atlanta. Every so often, when I can't get away to the beach or another city, I get a trendy hotel room. The W, Buckhead is a trendy location destination. It's convenient to Lenox Mall, which is great for shopping, food court or some of the finer restaurants and best of all. You can walk there. In fact you can walk to a lot of other venues. The W is clean, modern and trendy. I did not, however, take the time to visit their roof top bar Whiskey Blue nor did I dine at Marketplace. Perhaps next time. The self parking needs to be more user friendly and more informative upon exiting. No attendant on Weekend nights. August 6, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceptional Hotel!! My recent stay at the W was great! Easy and quick check-in, quiet, beautiful lobby, great food, front desk staff-amazing, and the location is perfect! The only two things that were not of my likings are the half glass shower, which easily wets the floor and the music played on the rooftop. This hotel is very diverse in guests and I feel that this should be taken into consideration in every aspect. So maybe a better mixture of music would be more pleasing. I mean, the atmosphere was great, just didn't enjoy it as much as had expected. I like the fact that everyone acted civilized and mature and not wild!! Overall, the W will be my choice of stay every time I'm in the city!! July 28, 2012

From the moment I walked in until I departed - needs were anticipated and expectations exceeded...and then some. A special recognition for Scott, the concierge without equal. Rated 1 out of 5 by Double Charges One of the worst stays in the hotel. They have quietly charged me twice for my one night stays in the hotel and 2nd charge is more than the first. Be careful staying at this hotel and check you credit card. Its nightmare if I had not checked my Amex Card they would have got away with this. July 22, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great hotel- strange restaurant i enjoy the erratic but erstwhile W Buckhead, having moved from my usual stays at a different property down the street to the fun vibe of the W. Rooms are pleasant (definitely ask for your Platinum upgrade so you get a room with a proper bathroom, not the closet space-savers), the concierge staff is quite knowledgeable and fun and the rooftop bar a great diversion. The W beds are lovely, the rooms efficient and the mini bar one of the best-priced I've experienced in quite some time! And I am almost used to the heavily tinted windows making me sleep in late. MARKET is a different story- great space, some decent food (i've eaten at tons of JGV restos) but consistently through my several stays the most lacksadasical or inept service possible. Ironically, the restaurant is never busy (confirmed by hotel staff in fact) but food never arrives on time, glasses never get refilled and wine is consistently spilt. Perhaps a bit of attentiveness and an upgrade in service might restore a bit of action to musty MARKET? It wont keep me from staying at the W Buckhead- just will make me eat out more. July 2, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Unbelievable - As always - the reception by the W Staff exceeded my expectations. It started with the warm welcome from Amy at the front desk. Followed by the detailed assistance from Robert to get my personnel belongings set in my room. No detail left undone…wow, I love these guys! Willie – it’s like haven’t your own driver, he is the best as what he does, his demeanor, insight on activities in Buckhead, and overall personality is a delight and right on spot each and every time! I can’t say enough about Felicia, Scott, and DM…they are gems! It’s truly amazing; as they never compromise world-class customer service, regardless of the time of day, nor the attitude of the customers…I’ve said it before, no stone unturned when it comes to the details provided! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH…can’t say enough about the staff! June 27, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by concierge made my stay I arrived early and I had prepared the hotel for this with my early room request. Because of the 100% occupancy I was unable to enter the room before my noon meeting downtown. Your hotel staff was very helpful in giving me suggestions for where in the hotel I could "freshen up" before this meeting. My room was comfortable the the shower had mold in it. Since I am highly allergic I was mindful of not touching it. Also the ipod jack was a little tricky to work. I enjoyed my stay at the W mostly because of the time and addition from your concierge team. David-Michael handled most of my needs. I am used to traveling around the world and depend on the expertise of the hotel staff easily aquatint myself with the city I have traveled too. David-Michael could work in any of the 4 and 5 star hotel on any continent. June 27, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Pretty Hotel.. very poor service . I stayed at the W buckhead this past weekend, the stay was problematic from the start. Before I arrived I called and reserved a car service, which David was very helpful with. Later that day ( still over 36 hours before I was to check in) our plans changed and I called to cancel the service, I talked to Jerry in the Concierge and cancelled it. Come to find out it was never cancelled by Jerry, and I was called repeatedly throughout dinner by a driver to pick us up. A day later , very annoyed , I spoke to Jerry about it and I was "assured" that he indeed had cancelled the service and I would not be charged for a service I didnt use. Sure enough a week later I was charged, now I am left battling accounting on a bogus charge that was the W's Staff"s fault. In addition to this I waitied in line to check in for 15 minutes, there was only one person at the check in desk at 3 o'clock , which knowing checkin is at 3 o'clock, I would think they would have more than one person. Overall I would not reccomentd the hotel, while the decor is beautiful , the staff is very ill trained on proper communication and general care for guests. June 22, 2012

Rated 2 out of 5 by Overpriced When booking a room online it does not list there is an additional parking fee, which is a ridiculous $32 per night. The tiny, tiny, tiny bathroom is almost OK for one person; however, when shared with another individual the bathroom size is unacceptable. My husband and I felt this hotel (combined with the parking fees) was overpriced for the value. June 12, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 Wonderful experience This past weekend me and my girlfriend stayed at the W for my birthday. I was very satisfied with everything! The summer special you guys have is awesome. I couldn't stay long due to obligations but we will definitely be returning. The young African American lady at the check in desk was wonderful. She was very polite and made me and my lady feel at home, customer service is big to me and you guys didn't dissapoint! Even the valet service was timely and convenient. Rated 2 out of 5 by Price Gouging My stay at the hotel was for a birthday celebration, and I did have several friends and business associates join me at your establishment on the rooftop, the Whiskey Blue at which we did appreciate being able to enjoy each other’s company. Some of my friends did come down to our room as they were closing up service for the Whiskey Blue and so we were told to keep the noise level down and that our friends would have to leave. We were not aware that the walls would be so thin or otherwise would have found another hotel within the area that could deal with our parties appropriately. Several folks stayed in the hotel with us but the ones that were forced to leave were treated poorly by your security staff. On top of this embarassment, I have been billed for over three times the going rate of what was quoted to me through your special Summer Sizzle rate. As a result, we are currently working through the dispute process to try to come to a proper resolution. I have gone ahead and contacted executive offices and my esteemed business colleague who is a frequent Starwood traveler also said he would no longer return to your establishment. My birthday present from the hotel appears on my credit card statement in clear and apparent disregard. I'm hoping this will be resolved so that I would even consider staying at a Starwood brand hotel in the future. So disappointed... June 6, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Short Staffed I had what I thought was going to be the pleasure of staying at your hotel last Friday. Upon check in (at 9PM) I was told that the room I reserved was not ready due to a spike in occupancy. They assured me it wouldn't take long to clean me a new room and they would come find my boyfriend and I when it was ready. 2 hours later after bunking out in Whiskey Blue we went down to check the status of the room. They still did not have the room we reserved ready but they offered us a room with a 2x bed. This would have been fine if I was staying with one of my sisters but slightly impractical for my boyfriend and I. We continued to wait. Finally the room was ready. However it took us 2 trips in the elevator from our room to get keys that worked to our room. Exhausted we staggered in the room and went to sleep. Only to find a dirty room when we woke- Stained sheets, opened food from the munchie bar that I ended up being charged for....etc. Needless to say I will not stay here again. June 5, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Living Social Memorial Day Weekend My boyfriend and I stayed here for the holidays as a getaway....all in all the hotel was nice. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. Robert who helped with our luggage was extremely helpful...he went above and beyond to answer any questions we had. The staff at the front desk were very polite and professional. The only thing I didnt like was having to wait in such a long line to check out and waiting on the valet to bring the car around. Oh and we also purchased a living social deal for a pool side party, not knowing that the pool was smaller than what we expected, but we made the best of it. Other than that, it was a pleasure staying at this hotel and I will recommend it tofriends. May 31, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by W Buckhead Overall, I just was not impressed with this property. Upon arrival the bathroom door was completely broken. We were able to change rooms right away and easily which was great. However, our escort to our new room made some really distasteful bathroom jokes along the way. Not something I would expect from this caliber hotel. The lobby was dark (standard for the W I understand) , tight, and totally chaotic. The design of the property just seemed fatally flawed overall. Love the W, will elect for another property in the future. May 30, 2012
