Family Plan Policy

Children who are 12 or younger sleep for free in the existing bedding of a room shared with a paying adult. A maximum of two children are allowed in Garden View and Ocean Facing guest rooms. Baby cribs are available upon request.

Age Requirement Policy

Guests must be 18 years or older to reserve a room. Guests under the age of 18 should be accompanied by parents. The resort respectfully reserves the right to check identification. Additionally, children 16 years and under are not permitted to use the gym and spa facilities.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great stay!! A wonderful hotel. Staff were 2nd to none -so friendly, helpful and really went out of their way. The only downside would be the pool. There was no adult only area that you get at most upmarket hotels. Still, it wasn't a deal breaker and would certainly return and recommend to friends! July 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing experience The service was spectacular, the best I've seen out of any W. Every need was accommodated and there was always someone nearby to help. The setup of the hotel is fantastic. There are many places to relax with a great view of the entire resort. The food was as good as I've had at any hotel in Southeast Asia. I was only there for a few days but I never felt the need to leave the resort. July 22, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by not what i had hoped i will just list what i consider to be positives and negatives in point form. the good: - fantastic grounds, superb entrance. - lovely friendly staff (as with everywhere in Bali). - great location - good size rooms, great sound system - lots to do on site the disappointing: - stains on the sofa (room 121) - bedhead was starting to delaminate, looked a bit worn. - daybed poorer quality than my usual $40 a night hotel - service at woobar VERY slow, almost as though staff were deliberately ignoring us. this was between 3-6pm on a wednesday. it took 30 mins for our last drink to arrive after 2 reminders. - room is under equipped at this price, no espresso machine is an obvious one. - breakfast options on the buffet were good, but eggs benny ordered off the menu had been sitting in a warmer; bread was soggy, egg yolks had gone hard, hollandaise was gelatinous. - to check out we had to queue for 20 mins. overall i was disappointed to be honest, i expected a very high standard which wasnt achieved, i have had much more satisfying stays at other venues for half (and less) of the cost. my partner and my i surmised that next time we would stay elsewhere and just visit for the atmosphere/location of the woobar. thank you for the opportunity to share our feedback. Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Resort - Great Location Check in difficult. Never enough staff on desk. Too noisy at night Woo bar music played til Midnight. Water pressure in showers too low. Pool starting to get tired - cracked and broken tiles in places. Staff good. Great location. Food good. whatever / whenever is an overstatement. July 12, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Note meeting expectation The facilitites are old compared to other W hotels. Two places to have breakfast, one has flies indoor the other served with smelly fruits, we were suspicious that the chef didn't clean up the chopping board after his chop crabs. As a gold member I thought I have a late check out priviledge but I was locked out when I got back to my room at 12:30pm on the check out day. The staffs show their hospitality, this is the only thing that comforts me. July 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceeded in every way Have loved W Hotels for many years and decided to finally try W Bali. Must admit it exceeded my wishes and expectations in every way. From the team members to the rooms to the pool to the spa. When you stay at W, you know you are going to have the music, the fashion and the design so be prepared for it. The fusion of all three is fantastic at this retreat. Interesting mix of guests....families, couples, singles and everyone seemed to be having a great time together. Fantastic, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone considering a Bali escape in great location. July 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Would not stay anywhere else My girlfriend and I just got back from a two-week stay at the W Retreat and Spa Bali. We had a great holiday in Bali and for a large part because of the W. Even before arriving at the Retreat, we had a very pleasant experience with the staff. E.g. after completing my reservation, I was contacted by one of the reservation agents to offer VIP immigration service and an airport pick-up (both I would highly recommend). After a short drive from the airport we entered the Retreat’s half a mile long driveway that I would call epic to say the least (if you want to exit the Retreat by foot to explore Seminyak, make sure to grab a buggy from the lobby to the main gate). SPG recognition is good at this property, as we were automatically upgraded upon check-in. During the first part of our holiday we stayed in a Spectacular Ocean Glimpse room. Everyone should know that all rooms (excluding the marvelous and wow suites) within the retreat are the same, however, they differ in view. As you enter the room, the first thing you notice is the bathroom that is to die for. Make sure you request a room on a floor that has the skylights in the shower. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated and really felt like a home away from home. The only drawback on the Ocean Glimpse rooms is the construction that is going on. You can see and hear the waves from your balcony, however, your eye will also catch the attention of the construction. So if it is ocean views you appreciate, make sure to get an ocean facing room. Breakfast at Fire is simply put the best buffet breakfast that we ever had experienced. Not just the food is delicious, the staff is very attentive as well. The breakfast host remembered our names and room number. Also, the waiters remembered what our favorite food was and asked if we wanted to order the same thing again. The pool area at WET is a good place to bask in the sun, with plenty of sunbeds available and attentive staff to order drinks or lunch. The sea in Seminyak can get quit rough so it isn’t allowed to swim in it, however we very much enjoyed watching the waves roll in. One of the Retreat’s dining venues, Starfish Bloo, overlooks the beach and pool area and is a great place to eat if you’re in to seafood. Gym facilities are great as well, so is the spa. One thing I love about W hotels is the cozy chill out spots that you can find throughout the entire hotel, and this property is no different. The WooBar is an architectural masterpiece and a good place to have cocktails and enjoy warm Balinese evenings. For our tours trough Bali, we both used taxi’s and hotel cars. For the longer trips I would advise using a hotel car, for a quick stop around the block grab a cab, as they cost next to nothing. We upgraded to a Villa for the last couple of days during our stay. The Villa’s are breathtaking and ideal if you value privacy and tranquility. The only drawback was that we found the water pressure to be very low. I’ve read a lot about the paths surrounding the villa’s to be uncomfortable to walk on, which is true, that’s way there is 24 hour valet service. Just dial whatever/whenever and there will be a buggy ready to pick you up within 10 minutes. Overall, it has been a very pleasant experience to stay at the W Bali. Had a chance to speak to the GM just before we were about to leave and seemed like a nice person. We noticed that the GM was walking around the property almost 24/7 making sure everything was perfect and setting the right example for the staff. As I struggled for a long time to decide which room to book, I would advise the following. If you value ocean view, go for the ocean facing rooms and not the ocean glimpse rooms. If it privacy you value, go for the Villa, as they are about the same price. We would like to thank the whole staff for making our stay so pleasant. Cheers May 23, 2012
