Rated 1 out of 5 by upset52013 Bad experience
I hope no one else has this experience; stayed here recently (may 2013) and had a fire alarm go off all night thorughout the hotel, and severely ruined our next day of vacations. Staff was apologetic but offered nothing in way of compensation, not even starpoints. Also, shower drain flooded but maintenane was able to fix it; due to the nature of the room setup, however, it flooded the entire room (shower is in a closet-type door, cant get out without water going everywhere). Staff also gave away the second of my two reservations even though I mentioned to them TWICE not to do so, as I would be checking in late. They gave it away anyway. Everyone was nice, but somewhat incompetent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Glenn242 A true 5 Star experience
My Wife and I recently stayed at the hotel to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. From the moment we arrived to when we departed Jess and all the Staff were first class. Always polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room was surprisingly quiet considering its location with all the amenities you would expect. The night club was very exclusive but we were treated like VIPs by the bar staff. Thank you to all for such a memorable experience. Anyone reading this should think of the W first it you want 5 star luxury in the centre of London.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Acandella Great SPG treatment
I received early check-in and late check-out which made my stay so much better. The room was fantastic on the 7th floor so good views. The vibe is fun, staff friendly and location superb! Thanks for everything.

Rated 4 out of 5 by suman514 Great location and great service!
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in April to celebrate his birthday. The rooms are small, but then again you are in the middle of all the action in Leicester Square!
We stayed in the Fantastic room, and once we got our luggage organized, and got used to the sink/desk in the middle of the room, it was comfortable. I would say the room is perfect for a solo traveler, or for a married/close couple. The bathroom and shower (ours had a rain shower) are each behind separate doors. Generous bottles of Bliss products were perfect! The bed was also very comfortable. We were on the fourth floor and weren't bothered by the music from the club (we didn't hear it at all#.
This hotel is right in the middle of Leicester Square with easy access to the Leicester Square and Piccadilly tube stops. From the hotel, Piccadilly Circus is less than a 5 minute walk, Covent Garden is about 10 mins and Knightsbridge is about a 25 min walk.
What really made our stay was the staff. We reached the hotel at 8am after our cross-Atlantic flight, and they had a room ready for us within 20 mins #thank you Christian!#. Our concierge, Jessica, recommended excellent restaurants #highly recommend the Asian restaurant at Novikov# and arranged for a very special birthday for my husband #thank you Jessica and Ian!).
Happy travels!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Simon76 Awful Service Lovely Looking
My stay went from bad to worse:
Tried to check in at 2:30pm and was told systems were down and asked to sit on a nearby sofa. After 20 mins of being ignored I complained to be told well it is not 3pm so you cannot check in yet anyway
Got to room which looked nice. AV equipement broken in room so complained - was told yes it is broken and no nothing can be done.
Spice market was lovely and the bar great
At 2am a loud party was being had in the room next door to ours 629, we complained. 3:30am still a very loud party going on which had moved to the corridor. A timid response from a security guard was given. 4:30 am the party continued by this point we had complained 3 times and nothing had been done. Eventually at 5am the duty manager arrived and shut the party down.
Wardrobe door was loose and fell off hinges preventing access to bathroom - engineer could not fix so we had it balanced up against a wall.
Just to top it all when checking out - the welcome desk manager said how was your stay! We told her and the response was well it is not our fault that people get drunk, doors fall off wardrobes, check in processes fail and AV equipment in rooms don't work. I assume she meant it was ours?
I stayed for 1 night spent £700 and was offered nothing in compensation for my troubles.
Final point when booking I was asked if it was a special occasion - I said yes our anniversary. Did anyone say happy anniversary or treat us differently.... NO!
Awful truly awful

Rated 2 out of 5 by Socrates Pretentious, even for a W
I will disclaim that I am not the biggest fan of the W chain in general, but this W reminded me of Biff's casino in Back to the Future II.
The lobby resembles a tinfoil fitness centre helpdesk, while the corridors leading to the rooms are so dark that guests may be well advised to carry a torch to be able to see the inelegant plastic doors leading to their rooms.
The rooms themselves have a futuristic twist reminiscent of Wong Kar Wai's 2046 train ride and the bathroom is conveniently located in the middle of the room for maximum privacy.
The staff seemed quite pleased with themselves, perhaps too much to welcome the guests with due courtesy.
I only stayed for one night and I was very glad to get out of the casino frequented a flashy, hungover mob.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SPGP Quartos muito pequenos
Evitar os quartos menores pois são muito pequenos e por isso desconfortáveis com o banheiro invadindo o quarto!
