I am lifetime platinum spending about 120 nights per year at Starwood properties- many of them at the W Westwood. I LOVE this hotel , great neighborhood close to everything , the rooms are HUGE and they do the best job in the country of upgrading platinum guests. The staff is awesome - calling you by name, they are attentive but not intrusive and always there quickly when you need them. If you decide to "dine in" the food choices are great 930, the backyard or room service - all terrific. AND they have great coffee - a personal must for me. There's also a Bliss spa - see Amy for a shellac mani.. Give this property a try next time you are in LA.

When you think of the W, you have a certain expectation. I've stayed at a number of W establishments, including the one in San Francisco, Bali and Hong Kong. All have a pretty good standard when it comes to room decore and service. Although the rooms were nice and clean, I was expecting more from the price range I paid. The feel of the room was just a renovated motel room, which is not what I'd expect coming from the W.

I often use this hotel out of necessity because I do business in the area and it's the only chain in walking distance. Never fails to invent new ways to disburb me. This time I was greeted with the lovely stench of BO when I walked into my room. Then I ordered room service with fruit plate that was topped by a lovely moldy grape. As usual, the heat wasn't working even though it was in the 60s. The drain in the shower was broken. Breakfast room service brought me oatmeal but nothing to sweeten it with. Staying at this hotel can feel like a test of how much you'll put up with before making a scene.

The doormen at the W westwood is the reason the hotel is good. You are greeted and treated delightfully!
The rooms are unique and it has a very homey feel to it. If you have any troubles the ladies at the front desk are very accomodating and can help you with anything you need. The price may be a bit high, but if you care about service it is worth every penny.

I rarely review anything, but our stay at the W this weekend went without a hiccup. I have never had that
experience any where.
From the check in, the dinner at the Backyard Restaurant, room service for breakfast and requested late check out, it was all seamless.

We stayed here after not being able to get into our usual area 4 star hotel where we have always stayed. We will be staying here from now on, the entire staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The pool deck and adjacent bar is very comfy. Only difficulty was the concierge could have had an assistant, waited a few times to get assistance during our stay, not a big problem.

Checked in room 706 and left my luggage in the room before heading to an event. Upon return from the event around 11:30pm that night, I realized that there were trash in my trash bin in the living room. Then I start to inspect the room and realized a dirty towel behind the bathroom door. Unacceptable!
It was late night and i don't want to have pack up and change room. Mentioned it to front desk next morning and was offered $30 drink coupon???? As Gold SPG, so disappointed to experienced this.
