Per State Law, Luxury Room tax is calculated based on the full retail (Rack) rate of the room type occupied by the guest, regardless of the confirmed room type/rate. This includes situations where upgraded rooms are provided either via paid upgrade, Suite Night Awards or as a Platinum benefit. All other taxes are based on the confirmed rate. Any change in tax structure is subject to change without prior notice. Please contact the hotel directly for further information.
Age Requirement Policy
Kids are always welcome—as long as there are adults around too! At least one occupant of each Aloft room must be 18 years or older. Be sure to bring ID in case we need to confirm.
Connecting Room Policy
Traveling together with family or friends? Some of our Aloft rooms can be connected—usually a king room with a double queen. Make sure to ask when you reserve or check in and we'll do our best to set you up, as availability permits.
Extra Bedding Policy
We do have extra rollaway beds for a fee of $10 per night, but many of our Aloft rooms offer two queen-size beds, so be sure to ask if that's what you need. And we're always eager to accommodate your little ones, with baby cribs and child-size air mattresses (thanks to our camp Aloft program) available at no extra charge.
Our rooms are priced for two guests, but we’ll happily set up the room to accommodate anyone else tagging along. A fee is applied to each additional adult, including children 13 years of age and older.
Suite Night Award Cancellation Policy
Suite Night Award requests may be cancelled until 2 p.m. local hotel time the day before you arrive, as long as the Awards have not already been confirmed for use on a reservation. Once your Awards have been confirmed, you must cancel the entire reservation to be credited back all the Awards; however, after 3 p.m. local hotel time the day before you arrive, a reservation cancellation will result in the forfeiture of all Suite Night Awards applied to the entire reservation. This is in addition to any other cancellation penalties applicable to the reservation itself.

Early Arrival Policy
Check-in at 2 pm or later and your Aloft room will be ready and waiting. Eager to get in earlier? Just ask at the front desk, and we'll do our best to find you a room that's ready. No guarantees—it depends on the last guests and our housekeeping schedule—but if we can't squeeze you in early, we'll be happy to hang on to your luggage in the meantime.
Early Departure Policy
If you have a sudden change of schedule and need to cut out early, stop by the front desk. We’ll do our best to settle your bill—but we may have to charge you for your full stay depending on the check out time.
For security purposes, valid photo identification is required at check-in. Acceptable forms include a driver’s license, passport, and proof-of-age card. Photo identification must also match the name that is on the reservation.
Late Checkout Policy
Feel free to sleep in—checkout time isn’t until 12 noon. Looking to stick around a bit longer? Let us know and we’ll try to keep the room available for you. There’s no guarantee, but if we need you to clear the room, we can always stash your suitcase somewhere else until you’re ready to go.
Guests with special needs will feel right at home! We’re fully compliant with disability access regulations, including offering guest rooms with accessible features.
In India, alcohol is for adults-only—so we only serve and sell to guests 18 and over. (Remember your ID!)
The hotel may cancel reservations, without liability, due to acts of God, government authority, disaster, strikes, civil disorders, terrorism attacks or other emergencies, any of which make it illegal or impossible for the hotel to perform it's obligations.
We require a shirt and shoes in all public areas. Things take a more casual turn poolside, where a swimsuit is all you need.
Meeting Room Policy
We’ll make sure you grab the perfect meeting room—just let us know what you need in advance and we’ll draw up a hotel agreement. Each room has a strict maximum capacity—along with a small usage fee—so be sure to share all the details with our Catering Sales Manager before you arrive!
Package Handling Policy
There is a package handling fee for all incoming and outbound packages. Please contact the hotel directly for the exact fee.
Sorry, but Fido and Fluffy will have to stay behind—pets aren’t allowed at Aloft Chennai OMR - IT Expressway.
Our splash pool offers family fun from morning to night! A lifeguard is on duty from 7am to 9pm. For everyone's safety, splash is only accessible with a guest room key.
Make sure your paperwork’s in order—a valid visa is required for any foreigners to enter India. At check-in, we’ll need to take a photocopy of your passport’s visa page, as required by law.

We accept personal checks for payment, so long as they have your full banking and contact details (no temporary checks, please). Checks must be submitted at least 14 days prior to the day of arrival. And we'll also need to see your driver's license and a credit card for verification.
Sorry—we don’t offer check-cashing services at the hotel. (But we’re happy to help you find a local bank if you need it.)
Credit Card Policy
All guests must check in with a valid credit card. Guests must notify hotel of the use of a debit card; the hotel is not responsible for any penalties due to the use of or access to debit cards.
Gift Certificate Acceptance Policy
Got an Aloft or Starwood gift certificate? We’ll happily apply them to your hotel bill, just be sure to get in touch with us prior to arrival so we can work out the details.
We accept all major credit cards at check-in for payment of the room, tax, and incidentals. But if plastic’s not your thing, we’re happy to accept cash too. With cash payment, you’ll need to pay the complete room fee (including taxes) in advance, plus an INR 5,000 per day security deposit.
We’ll happily work with you to make payment arrangements to a third-party credit card, just be sure to get in touch with the front desk 72 hours prior to arrival so we can work out the details. Sorry—purchase orders are not accepted.
Tax Exempt Policy
Tax exemption is based upon individual country, city, and state guidelines. Found something to buy? Qualified purchases must be paid for with a valid Office of Foreign Missions Tax Exemption ID card. Stop by the front desk and speak to the Manager on Duty for details.
