Aloft London Excel
For non-US hotels, rates confirmed in USD may be converted to local currency by the hotel at your time of stay, based on the exchange rate used by the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Credit card charges are subject to additional currency conversions by banks or credit card companies, which are not within the hotel's control and may impact the amount charged to your credit card. Please contact the hotel if you have any questions.
Guests with special needs will feel right at home! We’re fully compliant with ADA regulations, including offering 19 guest rooms with accessible bathrooms and other features.
Alcohol is for adults-only—so we only serve and sell to guests 18 and over. (Remember your ID!)
Age Requirement Policy
Kids are always welcome—as long as there are adults around too! At least one occupant of each Aloft room must be 18 years or older. Be sure to bring ID in case we need to confirm.
Sorry, it’s nothing personal—but we don’t accept personal checks for payment or offer check-cashing services at the hotel. (But we’re happy to help you find a local bank if you need it.)
Connecting Room Policy
Traveling together with family or friends? Many of our Aloft rooms can be connected—usually a king room with a double queen. Make sure to ask when you reserve or check in and we'll do our best to set you up, as availability permits.
Our standard currency is, of course, the British Pound (GBP). But if you haven't yet made it to a local ATM, no worries—we accept U.S. dollars too. We'll calculate the cost according to the day's exchange rate, and add a surcharge for the transaction. Our advice: paying by credit card is usually your best bet for the best exchange rate.
Early Departure Policy
If you have a sudden change of schedule and need to cut out early, stop by the front desk at least 24 hours in advance (by 6pm local time). We’ll do our best to settle your bill—but we may have to charge you for your full reservation.
Early Arrival Policy
Check in at 3pm or later and your Aloft room will be ready and waiting. Eager to get in earlier? Just ask at the front desk, and we'll do our best to find you a room that's ready. No guarantees—it depends on the last guests and our housekeeping schedule—but if we can't squeeze you in early, we'll be happy to hang on to your luggage in the meantime.
If you'd like to guarantee an early arrival, please confirm a reservation for the night prior to your scheduled arrival date.
Extra Bedding Policy
We don’t have any extra rollaway beds, but many of our Aloft rooms offer two oversized single beds, so be sure to ask if that’s what you need. And we’re always eager to accommodate your little ones with a baby crib. Children under 12 are welcome to bunk on a Camp Aloft air mattress (0.9m x 1.9m) available at no extra charge.
Family Plan Policy
A child who is 12 or younger may sleep for free in a room shared with a paying adult, thanks to our Camp Aloft programme. Cribs are also available upon request.
Gift Certificate Policy
To redeem a gift certificate, please contact Karl Gleave, Reservations Manager directly at (44)(207) 290 7268 or email email@example.com.
For security purposes, valid photo identification is required at check-in. Acceptable forms include a driver’s license, passport, and/or proof-of-age card. Photo identification must also match the name that is on the reservation.
Late Checkout Policy
Feel free to sleep in—check-out time isn’t until 12 noon. Looking to stick around a bit longer? Let the front desk know and we’ll try to keep the room available for you, subject to availability (fee will apply).
At check-in, we’ll need a deposit—in cash or by credit card—equal to one-and-a-half times the room rate. Of course, you’ll get the extra back at check-out when we settle your bill.
Package Handling Policy
We’re happy to accept and hold packages sent to those with an existing reservation, free of charge—just be sure whoever’s sending them knows to clearly mark packages with both sender and recipient info.
ARF (Animals are Fun)
Animals are family, too! That’s why Aloft London Excel welcomes dogs up to 40 pounds.* Our pet-friendly arf(SM) program offers a special bed, bowl, and a doggie bag of woof-alicious treats and toys, all complimentary to use during your stay. Please make sure they’re on their best behavior—we don’t want to charge you extra for housekeeping!
* If your dog weighs more than 40 pounds, please contact the hotel directly to discuss a waiver.
Credit/Debit Card Policy
Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus 25 GBP per night to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
Third-Party Credit Card: Third-party credit card forms are not accepted. Please contact the internal reservations team at (44)(207) 290 7575 for a pro-forma invoice. Bank transfers and CHAPS payments are accepted. A bank transfer must be received at least five business days prior to a guest’s arrival in order for the funds to be cleared in the hotel’s account. Failure to do so will result in direct charging to the guest.
Direct Billing: Direct billing is available only upon approval by the credit manager. The company to be invoiced must fax an invoice request to the hotel and specify the charges to be billed.
Cash: If a guest wishes to pay with cash, a deposit equal to the room, taxes, and 25 GBP per day for incidentals will be collected at check-in.
Our splash pool offers family fun from morning to night! But please be careful—there's no lifeguard on duty. For that reason, kids under age 16 can't splash around alone, so be sure they're always accompanied by an adult. For everyone's safety, splash is only accessible with a guest room key.
Aaahhh…breathe easy! We're a 100% smoke-free environment. So please follow our no-smoking rules—there's a GBP 250 fine per night for anyone lighting up inside the hotel.
