Rated 5 out of 5 by Love Tulsa Aloft! Me and my family love staying a the Aloft in Tulsa, it's very close to the shopping areas we like and also very close to the eating options we like. If you are coming from the airport it is very easy to locat and only afew minutes down the highway. November 17, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very comfortable stay! This was my second stay in an ALOFT hotel. This experience was very pleasant, as expected. The rates are very compatible to the amenities I received. I would definitely recommend ALOFT Tulsa to any of my friends, families, or business associates. December 6, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by TrEnDy!! Loved this hotel. I was very impressed all the way around, the staff was great, the room was very unique, and the overall apprearance of the facility was really cool. March 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice hotel We were there for a softball tournamanet and it was very close to the fields and everything we needed. Staff was great!!!!! May 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great stay The staff was great, and the managers were extremely helpful. I'll definitely recommend everyone I know going to Tulsa to stay here. May 26, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good vibe but need a few tweaks I am a pretty regular user of the Aloft Tulsa and still usually enjoy my visits. The lobby area is inviting and I have started to use more of the facility including the pool. However, I was disappointed in the last three to four weeks in that the gym has been so incredibly hot that it is almost unusable. I have made suggestions on putting up shades etc to improve the condition and it has not happened. Since I travel a lot, I rely on the hotel gym so really hope to see some improvements. I also want to note that I enjoy the staff, but do see some inconsistencies in recognizing my SPG status even after I have handed them my card at check-in. August 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Our stay Really enjoyed our stay, very family friendly. March 31, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by So Close The Price is right and so is the location, the staff was very friendly but didn't seem equipped to handle problems. And there were several that we watched just while checking in. The Bartender was over 2 hours late which had everyone in the lobby about to loose their mind on a Saturday night. Our carpet was coming up in our room and the fridge wasn't turned on which means it wasn't till the morning when we were leaving it was finally cold. I figured breakfast was included like every other hotel but it wasn't, and was pricy too. Went to Mickey D's instead. This place has a lot of potential and very comfy beds but just needs to work out a few kinks September 16, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Aloft is aNot I've had several stays at this Tulsa hotel, totaling over 15 nights in the last month. The Summary Pros: Newer, trendy design. Energetic lobby+lounge area. Smiling staff. Good happy hour prices on domestic beer. Pool table in lounge area. Good exercise room, saunas, and whirlpool. Acceptable room comfort. A good desk chair and easy access to power and video connections at the in-room desk. Free wifi. Decent salads, sandwiches, and related fair priced reasonably at the self-serve food shop. Room thermostat is programmable. Cons: Inconsistent service. Beds are already starting to sag after less than a year of use. Check-in goofs galore. Trendiness tries too hard to be hip, making the place feel strained. Rooms spacious, but design leaves a concrete cell impression. AC/Heat unit lets lots of external air into room, like it is missing a gasket under the unit. ------------------------------------------------ The Detail Service: No telling what the maid will get done. Ice bucket with melted ice left for 2 days, until I reminded her to replace. (I also got the impression they don't wash the ice buckets, just empty them). Coffee cups and water cups not restocked. Despite the "Be Green and Leave Towel on Bar" note, I got fresh towels every day. A few days where a small scrap of paper or other floor debris wasn't cleaned up in room. And in the hallways, there was dust and trash in the wall light housings. Never got cleaned. Maintenance is spotty. I mentioned several hallway wall lights were out, and they never got replaced. A printer was out of service in the lobby every stay, and as far as I know, remains out of service. Front desk: Despite being on a corporate card, the hotel pre-authorized against my personal card for the entire cost of rooms rather than just incidentals. It took several days to fix that. While I had reserved for five days (and had paper to prove it), I was in the system as a single night. Some stays the staff slipped the final bill under the door the last evening, others I had to ask for it at the front desk. I called and asked that it be ready one time, and the front desk staff hadn't prepared it by the time I came down 15+ minutes later. Comfort: The side of the bed closest to the door was already sagging in every room I've had. So, I had to sleep in the middle or far side from door to not have a sloping mattress. The interior design colors try too hard to be trendy, and instead lead to angst. Gray-toned walls, dark purple accents, high ceilings, and roller shades create a cell block feel. Dark and flat. No billow and breeze in the bedding, blinds, or any place else. No wall art to break up the space. A big 4'x4' bright color oil, with lots of whites, yellows, reds, etc., on the far wall would go miles to making this less of a holding pen. Lighting doesn't help either. It's all stark white fluorescents. No warmth there. In short, for the $100+ a night, I'd go somewhere else, if the boss would let me. December 29, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Tulsa, 104th street I've stayed at the aloft hotels in the Dallas, TX area numerous times and all were pretty much exactly the same, so I thought I knew what to expect. The Tulsa hotel however, is in need of a little additional care. Several things in our room were not up to par. Shower leaked, vanity area was very banged up, sink drain plug wouldn't work, just several small things but definitely in need of some tlc. Also the bar was not open on a Saturday evening. Yes we checked in a little late, but it wasn't even 10:30 & we didn't have the option of a glass of wine because the bar was closed? Also had to go back downstairs after checking in because the key card would not work. June 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Welcome from beginning to end We were delighted to find a pet friendly hotel that was comfortable and modern. The bathroom was fabulous as were all the other accommodations. Not much room to store our stuff but with a bit of creativity, it was fine. We were in town to make arrangements to settle the estate of a family member and really appreciated the late check out we were allowed as part of our SPG recognition. The only negative was that the bed and linens were only satisfactory. Did not like the sheets over the comforter rather than a duvet as this is not sanitary. We are staying there again next week while completing more personal business. November 24, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible experience I live in hotels 300+ days a year and this is one of the worst stays: * Could not sleep the first night because the elevator made a god awfully loud noise * Water leaked from shower * Toilet paper holder broken * Front desk girl had no clue, no check in points given * Forgot to give me my credit card back and asked me to come down to pick it up instead of sending to my room * Shipped package to hotel, Nobody knew where it was. Wasted countless time with fedex tracking it. Staff finally found it in closet. Went back to get it but nobody communicated to front desk when we came back to pick it up. Took 4 days to finally get it! * There are more but wasted enough time typing this. November 21, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Left Kindle Behind/Couldn't Find I recently stayed at the hotel and left my Kindle behind. Upon reaching home and opening my suitcase, I realized it was not there and called the hotel immediately. Housekeeping had not found it so I thought maybe it had gotten wrapped up in the bedding and thrown in the wash-my fault for leaving it. Nobody could find it though. You tell me how it disappeared. I got into a car and drove home and opened my suitcase-I didn't go through an airport-nobody else touched my luggage. Desk clerk said that is all they could do for me; that they are not responsible for items left in the rooms. That is fine. I will not stay at another one of Starwood hotels since they do not expect more from their staff. January 27, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Bad customer service I arrived at 2:50 and was told no rooms were clean yet and it would be a few minutes. I asked if I could just wait in lounge area since I already brought all my luggage inside. By 3:15 I had seen 2 people check in and asked how much longer for a room. The young lady stated she had forget I was waiting and "tons" of rooms ready. I was sitting less than 5 feet from her within in eyesight. So I wasted 25 minutes waiting. The shower leaked all into the bathroom and sink smelled like sewer. Not what I expected! The lotion was half gone they left and no hand soap so had to step into shower to get soap to wash hands. Rated 1 out of 5 by Looks are not everything The hotel has a trendy, hip look and feel. Sadly, the actual functionality of the room was lacking. The lighting is poor; there are dual reading lights over the bed but they are not individually controlled so I could not read without keeping my husband awake. The lighting in the sink area is terrible for applying makeup. There is no vent fan in the shower room so the humidity builds up. The windows do not open (a safety feature, I suppose) and the thermostat on the wall is for looks only. It does not actually work. Our room was uncomfortably warm all night leading to a miserable sleep experience for me. November 1, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Above and Beyond Pros - Close to major retail and restaurant corridor. - Easy access to the highway. - They were very friendly to our pets as is typical of most Alofts. - Good quality breakfast. Cons - Rooms seem to be showing a little age. Nothing too concerning just normal hotel wear and tear. Note for Platinums: The complimentary breakfast amenity at this location is a voucher for two breakfast items, hot or cold, juice, and coffee. We received two vouchers. One for myself and one for my wife. Also, we were given two drink vouchers for the bar. This is above and beyond what most Alofts do. November 8, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice place, staff not so much We specifically wanted a hot tub. Before making our reservations, I called the hotel and was assured they did have such facilities. When we arrived, we found that while they did have a hot tub, it was NOT operational. The was just the first clue that their staff has NO CLUE. The front desk staff could not provide me with a working key for my room. Every time we left, we had to have someone on the staff reprogram our room key. Very frustrating. We also had the front desk person explain the morning breakfast routine. The next morning we found nothing she had said to be true. Starwood hotels usually have the best staff, so I continue to stay at Starwood facilities. Aloft Tulsa did not meet these expectations. October 31, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great Hotel Love this hotel, Only problems that I had was wanting water and calling down to have a few bottles sent up and never receiving them. Called down twice and each time the lady said it would be right up. Never recieved them. Also not having room service was very upsetting because you have to drive yourself to get food each time your hungry and want a meal. The young lady at the front desk said they had a complimentary shuttle. But when I wanted to use it, It wasnt "On Duty" at the time. Last of all When I checked out my bank alerted me of three charges for my rm charge, plus two different Authorizations for two totals which is my my two room charges seperated.Brooklyn the Fd Agent was vwery curtious and pleasent. Rated 3 out of 5 by I liked the room features. The desk in the room was nice with the charging station for charging phones, etc. I like the bathroom with the shower instead of a bathtub. I never take a bath on a trip. The bed was comfortable. I enjoyed the modern look. The thing that frustrated me was the complimentary breakfast. I wanted instant oatmeal and there was no hot water. One of the staff got some hot water in a paper cup and brought it to me. Because of our time constraints, I was unable to finish the oatmeal so grabbed a muffin and left. Some times the little things detract from the all-around positives of an experience. This was the case with me. I also paid more than I would have at some other normal hotels that have the breakfast thing down very well. September 14, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by This Hotel has a way to go I've stayed at this location a few times now. The only consistency is the inconsistency. Sometimes you get the full set of towels for your room the next day half as many and no wash towel at al. Sometimes they have a bar of soap for your hands at the sink sometimes they don't. The woman at the breakfast area spoke so little English that I could not convey my order. The front desk personnel rarely speak to you as a guest. The hotel is mostly empty every time so you would think they would be going the extra mile with customer service But they do not August 8, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great stay for a great price! I enjoyed the comfort and cleanliness of the room, the welcoming of our pets, and the courtesy of the staff. Our Pomeranians had a blast and were more than welcomed by staff and extra amenities provided for them! Same with the kiddos...coloring books and crayons were waiting for them upon arrival after checking in. Very cool! A little disappointed that the pool was filthy. Dog food and hair was visibly a turn off. After dark, water revealed it was not clean or sanitary at all. Won't take a swim at ALoft again, but overall, the stay was nice. June 30, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good Hotel I been coming with more frequency to Tulsa and Aloft is one of my options Overall a good hotel. I would like to give a 3.5 Rooms are clean, but needs better up keeping. Staff availability is very limited at night. Some small issues for Breakfast.. last 3 visits coffee/cappuccino machine not working. Staff tries hard to accommodate your needs. I been going to other Aloft in the country and must say they are bit better overall for my experience. Still hope they Tulsa will improve and upkeep the Aloft quality name. November 15, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Surprise getaway I reserved a room at the last minute to surprise my husband for Valentine's. The room was as great as I expected. The whole vibe of the hotel is really cool. The only let down was the fridge did not keep our leftovers cold enough so we had to toss them. But other than that, our overall experience was great. We were able to relax and unwind and enjoy ourselves. February 17, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Won't stay again Let me start out with the good...The room and hotel were clean. The staff was friendly. Based on that I have stayed at much worse places. And if that is all that you need it will do the job. Now for the not so good. I was unaware that dogs were allowed at the hotel. There was one in the adjoining room that barked all night. There was a group of young ladies staying down our hall that were having a great time. It was a Saturday night so it could be expected. Nothing wrong with that except they were very loud when they were getting ready to leave about 10pm and when they returned sometime much later they we literally running up and down the hall. Sunday morning there were beer bottles lining the hall. There was a lot of wind Saturday night. It woke me up whistling through the window. It woke me up I thought I was at home and had forgotten to latch the window shut. But, these windows didn't latch. It just had a leak of sorts that wind was blowing through. The room had and individual heater/air conditioner unit that didn't work, there were rips in the carpet and the wall paper was torn from the chair rubbing on it.. Some of these things were out of the hotels control. others were not. I just know that I did not get a good night's sleep at all. it was the first time I stayed at an aloft and will definitely be my last. March 17, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Cleanliness The Smell as you exit the 5th floor is not how I want to be welcomed home after a long day of work. The Carpet in the hallways appeared to only be vacummed on a weekly basis, and the stains prevelent on the carpet in my room were enough to require the purchase of shower shoes to be used throughout the room. Front desk staff was helpful, fitness and common area facilities were nice, but if mgmt doesn't have a sense of urgency about the cleanliness of these facilities, what is the point??? July 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great rooms and staff We have stayed at this location 3 times in the last month and a half. With the exception of the airconditioner not completely functioning the last stay, we have had a wonderful experience each time. The staff have all been extremely helpful and accommodating, especially the daytime parking lot security guard. The rooms have been comfortable and clean. We will be returning to Tulsa monthly for the rest of this year and plan on staying here as long as our experience remains positive. September 3, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Little hard to find If you are trying to find their location, don't depend on your GPS. Call for a different address and they will give you one that will work. One of the things we did't like was the desk chair that wasn't all that comfortable (that is why I gave the room comfort and average). My wife likes to read and this chair just didn't cut it. The room was very unique form other hotels we have stayed so that was a plus. I would stay there again if I find myself in Tulsa and need a place to stay. September 4, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by No Phones, Internet... Second stay in an Aloft hotel - billing problems the first time, no phones or internet in the hotel the second time. I was unable to do the work I needed to do without leaving the hotel. Unacceptable. March 3, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by this hotel needs better mattress and house keeping Found a bug in room first night reported to front desk next morning. Seems like room was cleaned well and also possible mattress changed, new mattress was terrible, cannot sleep for that night.. I have been staying in this hotel for few years and have seen degradation in facilities especially room maintainance.. quality of shampoo and conditioner was very low , never staying in this hotel again.. ordered brdakfast sandwich and was terrible almost frozen from inside when served.. September 23, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Lowered my expectations My husband and I stay at the Aloft to get away sometimes. I always loved the modern look of the rooms. Definitely different than any other place we've stayed. Our most recent stay was below our expectations. We had no wash cloths which was an obvious problem. The shower doors (which have always been an issue) don't shut properly and water gets all over the floor. I think this time, we may have made the decision to start staying somewhere else.
