Our daughter's flight was cancelled and she needed an overnight stay in Denver. We chose aLoft for her as we are Platinum SPG members and have had previous good experiences with Starwood hotels. After over an hour waiting for the shuttle in the snow and three phone calls to the hotel, she was told to take a cab. She did and was reimbursed for the cab only after waiting for the desk staff to end their chitchat with each other and with no apology for the missing shuttle. This was reminiscent of the last time my husband stayed at this hotel and also waited well over an hour for the shuttle. Instead of apologies, we got excuse after excuse for the missing shuttles in both cases. The only saving grace to this visit was a wonderful bartender. Naturally, the 5:30am shuttle was late the next morning and when it arrived, was full. I had been assured on the phone the night before that there would be NO PROBLEM with the morning shuttle. Ha. She had to wait for another shuttle and arrived at the airport late. We await our phone call from the hotel manager. There are so many choices for airport hotels and if there is one thing airport hotels should get right, it's the shuttle service. When it fails, the first thing that should happen is an apology, not an excuse. We will definitely choose another hotel next time in Denver.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Srfnkth The staff does not have a clue....
I purchased a vacation package including air and ALOFT hotel. The package was paid in full in advance. A month later ALOFT Hotel charged my hotel stay to my credit card. Multiple calls to hotel have resulted in lie after lie. "Oh we will deduct the charge", "we deducted the charge yesterady", "we deducted the charge on friday". To date no deduction has been applied to my credit card. A call to Starwood Customer Service was even less productive. The parent company told me they are not responsible for ALOFTS actions.

My family stayed here just one night because we vacationed in Steamboat and did not want to have to catch a flight after driving back. We checked in and the staff could not be nicer and more helpful. The hotel itself was very clean and very roomy. They were nice enough to supply me with an aerobed for my seven year old so we did not have to book two rooms. The room was plenty spacious. We got our wake up call right on time and the desk clerk in the am was very helpful to me when trying to get our boarding passes printed out. I would stay at this hotel every time we visit Colorado for skiing and highly recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RJS1 Super-convenient to Denver airport
I was just passing through Denver airport on my way to a long drive into the Rockies, and needed a place to rest my head on the outbound and return, and the aloft Denver did that and more.
Convenient and frequent airport shuttles.
Friendly and helpful staff at the Front Desk.
Comfortable rooms, and really - you know what you're getting at an aloft. No frills, but you're not getting shorted either.
Solid place, and I'll be back there in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by canuckle Good hotel stay
Overall the hotel has all the features that make for a good Aloft hotel.
Only downsides were
1) Shuttles to airport are slow at times as it goes to several hotels. Aloft should post better travel time info for those with early flights, or need to plan more in advance
2) checkin could be faster, or the Aloft Checkin card should be rolled out to all Alofts since the hotel is often minimally staffed.

Bad shower design, lots of water on the floor outside shower. Sliding glass door for toilet area needs a guide to prevent banging into vanity, worried about breaking it.
The rest of the room and hotel are great and refreshing design makes too many hotel stays more tolerable. Staff asked the right questions and met every request with a warm smile and very pleasant and professional response.

- The room walls are marked up and the carpet has visible stains
- The room is very small
- The clock in the room was set to the incorrect time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Campos64 Customer Service???
Not a bad hotel but customrer service stinks. I inadvertantly left my phone in the room and realized it as soon as we arrived at the car rental facility. There was no time to return so I immediately called the hotel. They went and looked and told me no luck and to call back after housekeeping cleaned the room. When I called back later in the day there was no record of my reporting the phone missing and I was told housekeeping had gone home for the day and call back later. Each time I called there was no record of previous calls so even if my phone was found there was no way of knowing to whom the phone belonged. Great customer service. Then when I asked for a manager to call me that never happened either. They are not responsible for my phone but it seems they would have a procuedure for getting lost things back to the owner
