Rated 4 out of 5 by garnet1956 Very nice place to stay
This hotel has everything we were looking for. It is pet friendly. There is no smoking in the whole building. It was very clean, well maintained and the beds were comfortable. Has a very upbeat, modern appearance. Appreciated the complimentary coffee in the morning. Would be nice if there was a restaurant within the facility, but there are other places to eat nearby. We would recommend this to a friend, and we will definitely book with Aloft again.

I'd like to recognize an outstanding staff member at the hotel. Her name is Lindsey and although she was not the maid for my floor she was extremely friendly and accommodating. Lindsey has exceptional customer service skills and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. My stay was very pleasant and I felt right at home thanks to Lindsey and her efforts. Kudos to the management for hiring such exceptional staff members such as Lindsey.

Front Desk Agent was overwhelmed at check-in due to an airline mistake (completely not her fault) but I was scared of staying at a "airport" property. Once it was time to check-in she was absolutely pleasant and welcoming. The lobby was inviting and the bar was lively. We made our way to the room which is beyond expectations. It was modern, clean, and spacious. Overall a wonderful hotel. Only down fall was the lack of food options.

What I don't understand is how can you book a room with two queen beds and then when you arrive at the hotel they tell you that your room was a handicapped room and we gave it to a handicapped guest. I did not ask for a handicapped room, I asked for a room with two beds. How do you tell someone this and they are suppose to adapt from two beds to one bed. This is why i probably won't return. It amazes me that this is done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rrbuff72 Great place to stay
Stayed at the hotel over the weekend. It was great place to stay the staff was great room was great and room was great. The only two complains I have are 1) when I booked the room I wish the staff would have told me that it was going to be a extra 15% charged to my criedt card which the card I have is a pre paid card to where I add money to so I had to go and add more money to it which was a little bit a hass but went and added more money to it and it was fine. 2) the room was great the only promblem I had was the bathroom the grout needs to be fixed bad as a superviser of mainateance myself I would go crazy over that but please fix before promblem occur there were cracks in the kirb that if its not address you will have problems with the units below please fix but like I said the rest of the room was great. I would recommend this place to anyone

Booked at 10:30pm --- got to the hotel at 2:20am. No one was at the front desk -- waited for about 20 mins. Got a great room --- great view. Slept and woke up to find no tv channels worked. Ugh. Called the front desk to request a late check out -- I had an extra hour. :0) but housekeeping kept knocking on my door. Very annoying and rude. I felt rushed eventhough I still had 40 mins left in my exrta hour! Parking at the hotel was $15.

Rated 4 out of 5 by K789 Would stay at Aloft again
We booked Aloft based on the proximity to the Citizens Bank ballpark. We also booked based on the pictures online. We found the staff to be courteous and friendly. The lobby was clean, bright and very welcoming. The hotel has a good vibe.
At first glance we loved our room but upon closer inspection the carpet was stained, the walls in the bathroom area could have benefited from a good cleaning and there was dampness to the room that was a little odd (the bed sheets were slightly damp and in the morning our clothes were damp too). When it came time to shower in the morning, our shower drain was clogged. We had to keep turning off the water to prevent it from flooding over and in the end only 2 of the 4 of us could shower. Although the above were all disappointing, we want to try Aloft again. The look of the hotel decor is refreshing from the traditional hotels out there.

This is a perfect hotel to stay at if you are flying out of the Philadelphia airport. The only thing that I had a problem with was the elevator was out of service when I checked in. The staff member at the front desk did comp me 2 nights free parking for the problem & put me on the 2nd floor. It was difficult to drag my bag up the stairs so it would've been helpful if there was someone to offer assistance to me.

I was surprised to find that my room did not get cleaned during the day between my two night's stay. The bed was unmade, the towels and washcloths at the sind were where I left them, and the soap bar was not replaced.

Clean hotel. The front desk staff were not particularly welcoming. Air conditioner in the room sounded like a freight train every time it came on. Had a terrible night sleep being woken up every 45 minutes or so by the air conditioner.

The Hotel is quiet and for what it is a nice place to stay. We had issues with the temperature in the room. We went several rounds with the staff and the technical team. At the end they replaced the whole unit which fixed part of the issue but even the unit that was replaced had an issue. I cannot knock the hotel as if this had not been an issue the stay would have been great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by charlietown bathroom conditions,,,,
The bathrooms and carpets are begining to show the wear of a popular hotel....carpet in my room showed several stains thoughout the room. The bathroom shower has missing grout and the glass door didnt seem to completely due to a piece of liner that has come loose. I have noticed this before during other stays at this property but this is the first time i said anything in a review

Airconditioning unit was extremely loud. It turns on (not as loud thou) even when it is off. The shower needs an update. I'd rather not think about stepping on the floor of the shower.
Staff was excellent, internet was excellent, value is very good, but I would pay more for a quieter room and a decent shower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by shepjm99 Excellent, clean hotel close to the airport.
I really enjoy staying at this hotel. I love the modern decor. The staff is very friendly and they have two wonderful bartenders (Vanessa and Rebecca). I really enjoy the rooms and the oversized showers and big flat screen TVs. I also love to set the wakeup channel so that it wakes me up- great music and scenes. This is very close to the airport and meets all of my needs.

The hotel was very nice... But, we were on the first floor and housekeeping started banging on the door at 9am to clean our room. When we said we were still trying to sleep they proceeded to vaccum the hallway right outside the door. The door across the hall had their do not disturb sign out but it didn't matter. It would have been nice to be able to sleep in a little.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JDub A Weekend in Philly
The hotel was nice for the price! The bed was comfy, the room amenities were good, and the location is convenient and close to the 95 Freeway. However, I think the housekeeping staff can do a better job of keeping the common areas on the floor clean. Also, no real SPG benefits at this location....room upgrades are not availavble. I would recommend it for the price!

Rated 3 out of 5 by MMBBW Staff was not empowered to make things better
The Point of sale system was down at the front desk which caused problems for the 2 days I was there. While one staff member was accommodating, two others certainly were not. They did not seem empowered to make things better. Also, screen on the the machine in the exercise room did not not work properly so I spent most of the time trying to get it to work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by BarryNY Great stay at a great value
Staff is more than accommodating, professional, and friendly. The facilities has every need you have ; all modern and well maintained. The bar has a super bartender on Saturday night that makes nice stiff drinks with reasonable rates. The lounge area is superb and very comfortable. I love the spacious rooms and extra shower space. Even though you see the runways not to far from your window the rooms are well insulated and you dont hear any jet engines. Housekeeping takes pride in the hotel. The room was exceptionally clean. I had the pleasure of meeting the housekeeper on the 5th floor as I checked out on Sunday. She was extremely friendly and showed a high sense of enjoyment with her job. She worked diligently to maintain the rooms at check out. She took a lot of pride in what she does. I wish I remembered her name to recognize her. Thanks for a great stay Philly Aloft! Looking forward to my next stay whenever I'm back in town.

I want to tell you how much my wife and I enjoyed our stay in Philadelphia. We were visiting her brother who is dying of cancer and It was very nice to have a comfortable room to relax and relieve stress..
Your staff were very accommodating. We would definitely recommend and stay at other locations around the world.

Rated 2 out of 5 by JRRaven Nothing to write home about
The front desk and the cook staff need to be addressed before they will acknowledge you. Otherwise you'll stand there for 10 minutes while they chat with each other. The phone at the front desk has an obnoxious ring tone and will ring for 10 or 15 minutes before someone answers it. Carpet was stained next to the bed. I can't really recommend this hotel.

My shower door was leaking outside of it. And the shower was nasty there was hair in the shower and the glass was full of soap scum. Also there was only 1 wash rag in the bathroom. The maid service was talk very nasty and personal businiess in the hall while I was going to my room. I asked for more rags and towels and she wasnt able to give me any.

Room was very comfortable and service was excellent. I stayed for multiple weeks on business working long hours and Arnita Ridgeway who covered the hotel overnights did an incredible job of making me feel welcome, knowing my name, and havign my room paperwork ready to go ahead of time. Truly above and beyond service, would definitely stay again.

We have stayed at various Aloft properties and found the Philadelphia did not disappoint! While there were some issues at another location we found our room in this Aloft up to standards. Staff was friendly and parking was well lit. Shuttle to airport was prompt and efficient. Was a bit shocked at the price of a bottle of Diet Coke, though, Wow!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MountainRider Good Aloft experience
Comfortable, convenient stay near the airport. Wish there were some healthier egg options for breakfast though (and that the bar would stay open until 1am as I arrived on a late flight and bar was already closed when I got to hotel at 11:55pm
Shuttle bus driver was extra helpful the next morning and the aloha desk agents were very pleasant

The hotel was great. Very clean and roomy for me and my boyfriend. The only problems was when we checked in our original room was not cleaned from whoever had the room prior to us. So they had to change rooms. Also a little noisy but being so close to the airport, I kind of expected it. But I would stay again good for a overnight trip.

I've stayed here a number of times since it opened. The experience has always been great, from the friendlym helpful, and professional staff to the exceptionally comfortable beds. My teenaged sons really like the atmosphere. My only complaint with all Aloft properties is the lack of a radio. I'm not a TV person and do really miss a radio.
