I absolutely LOVE this hotel!!! I have been staying here every other week since the beginning of January 2014 so I can attest that it wasn't a one time fluke of great customer service. My stays are always for 5-6 nights so I get to see every single staff member - both weekend and week day staff. EVERYONE at this hotel has GREAT customer service skills! I've even worked closely with Melanie in the Sales Department and can say the same for her! There are LOTS of hotels to choose from in Austin (and I have stayed in many of them) and this is the only one I will stay in from now on. And being located in The Domain is an added bonus! You have great restaurants and shopping to choose from. Close proximity to downtown and to all the Tech Companies. There's even a cozy hotel bar on property. Aloft Austin takes fantastic care of it's guests!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cornhusker Bed Linens Issue
This is a great hotel for proximity to the Domain. The rooms are modern and have really nice walk-in showers. My one issue is with the bed linens. For some odd reason, the hotel uses a mattress pad that is not secured to the mattress. So during the night, the mattress pad bunches up under the sheets making is uncomfortable to sleep. If I stay here in the future, I'll have to remove the mattress pad. That's just pathetic.

I spent 2 nights at the Aloft Austin on March 2-4 and was extremely disappointed with my experience. Hotel check-in was smooth,and the room was clean/ tastefully decorated.
Those were the high points of the trip. The walls are paper thin at this hotel and getting a good nights sleep is very challenging. In addition, our room air conditioning system was load during normal operation - That was prior to the knocking sound followed in the middle of the night and through the morning. Upon waking in the morning (or more appropriately stated, leaving bed after not sleeping much), I visited the front desk who committed to having engineering fix the knocking problem and also deliver a couple extra pillows since the bed only had 2.
Upon returning that evening, I found that the pillows were delivered and assumed the AC to be fixed as well - Though it was left off. However, after turning back on the AC, the knocking returned again in the late evening hours. After realizing that I could not sleep with the loud noise, I finally turned it back off and went back to sleep. That being said, the lack of ambient noise of the running AC (sans the undesired knocking sound) brought to light again the fact that the walls in the hotel were paper thin - Both internally and externally to the street. With a 6th floor room (top floor of the hotel), you should not expect to be woken up by a passing car or motorcycle - Something that happened more than once.
I spend roughly 30-40 nights annually in hotel rooms and this was one of the poorest sleep experiences that I have had in recent years. I expected better from a Westin property.
All said, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again nor would I recommend it to others. I feel that I wasted the Starwood points in booking it and would have been much more comfortable elsewhere.

Nice place with a lot of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Loud bar next door prevents a good night's sleep though so bring ear plugs! Good selection of breakfast food in lobby but a little pricey

The front drive is too small, and it is marked as a Fire Lane so we had to park in the adjacent lot and carry our bags just to check in.

After a long, exhausting travel day, I had one of the very best sleeps I've had in a long time! I have to say, the bed, but especially the pillows, were extremely comfortable. I would like to know where I can buy one!!

I stay at this hotel every other week and the consistency at which they provide great customer service is absolutely wonderful and refreshing!!! The entire staff is fantastic - super helpful, friendly, top notch!

This was my first stay at an Aloft, and it was wonderful. The room was very comfortable and clean. I loved the workout room and was happy that I didn't have to miss out on my routine. It is also in walking distance to a lot of great places to eat and shop.
