Internet service is not for a business traveler. Consistently disengaged instead of staying up for 24 hours.

Disregard old reviews about cleanliness - it was fine. Rooms are compact but have everything needed and did not feel small. Very modern style but cozy at the same time. We really liked hotel and room, and modern is not our first choice for decor but this was fun and warm feeling. We stayed Labor Day weekend and the hotel was full, yet it felt as though few others were around. The layout provides privacy in a unique way. Beds super comfortable. Liked the bathroom! Front desk staff friendly in daytime. About as quiet as any other hotel. Take Jane Ave to the very end. Good eating and shopping choices extremely close. I would say is a good hotel for business travel and for leisure both. Kids around as it was a holiday weekend but did not seem to overrun the place due to good layout. Coffee in lobby in the morning - thank you! We will return to an Aloft Hotel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by longlake Great, but end the stupid parking carve out for low-emision vehicles...always empty when the rest is full
This is obviously a Aloft corporate thing because I see it at every property I stay at, but its preposterous that the entire parking area facing the property is unavailable for use because of the handicap and the Low Emission Vehicles - meanwhile the rest of the front lot is alway packed. I know you want to be green, but why not free then up to your SPG Gold guests instead of this stupid 'green' initiative that no one uses?

Rated 5 out of 5 by SoccerTournamentTraveler The staff was VERY helpful
The desk staff was outstanding. I had lots of questions about area attrarctions and directions and they were most helpful to me. Also, I asked for some special accommodation and the staff listened and helped. This would have been all five stars except the pillows were too small and lumpy.

My stay at the Bolingbrook Aloft was not what I expected. Layout of the room was very awkward and hotel was very noisy considering the amount of guests. Seemed to be an issue with wind and the HVAC equiptment, all night we heard loud banging from the ductwork flexing due to wind. Also other guests on the floor were very loud and unruly. Would not stay here again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 143A Not up to SPG standards
There were several issues with my stay at the hotel. First, upon check-in, I was assigned a room that was already occupied. Luckily, the occupants of the room were playing music loudly, so we knew not to enter.
Second, the room was not cleaned at least 1 of the days and we had to request garbage and towel service. There were multiple wine stains on the floor, and the floor of the bathroom was not very well cleaned.
On the first day, the shower did not heat up (even after waiting 10 min). The hotel response was that the hot water was used by too many people at the same time!!! I don't think I have ever stayed in a hotel (let alone a new hotel) that has had this problem. Other days the shower heated up, but took at least 5-10 min (talk about a waste of water)
Food was ok but overpriced for what you received.
Unless you are a SPG member staying on points, this hotel was not a good value and I would not recommend staying here.

I stayed at an Aloft hotel and was pleased with the design and the way the room was set up. The problem was that I am allergic to furry animals and could instantly tell that animals were present in the building. I had an allerigc reaction both nights and was very uncomfortable. If you have any allergies to animals do not stay here!

Rated 4 out of 5 by rob99 Good hotel, broken gym
hotel is small, but well done. Both treadmills were broken, but the hotel staff called LA Fitness next door and got us in for a workout. Didn't see any parts of the hotel that were not cleaned, but some areas need general maintenance (paint, new wallpaper, etc.).

Rated 1 out of 5 by displeased This hotel was not clean
My initial room was not clean--unfolded towels, trash in the basket. The replacement room had a weird dusty item on the floor in the bathroom, water spots, and the heater filters were dusty and made me sneeze all night. Not impressed. Cute, but dirty.

On Saturday, September 21, 2013-we stayed at Aloft Hotel in Bolingbrook. Knowing this was a Starwood hotel, we were all very excited to be staying there. My brother and new sister in law chose this hotel for all of their wedding guests thinking the atmosphere would be a fun one. All of our wedding party arrived together as we had a coach bus drop us off. I was the first person to go to the concierge desk and instead of being greeted with a smile, I was told that “We will close down the bar if this continues”. Not understanding what the receptionist was talking about, I asked and her response was “your wedding party is out of control”. Puzzled, I left the desk as our family took a seat in the lounge. Not even five minutes later, she approached my Father and told him that he needed to go quiet down the fourth floor guests because she was receiving cancellations from other guests. As my father made his way to the fourth floor—he realized, it was not our guests-rather the other wedding party that was staying in the hotel. As he came back to the front desk and explained that we were all in the lounge and it was another wedding party, she shrugged it off without the slightest apology. The bar did in fact stay open, which we knew it would as we were giving them our business-
I would never stay at this hotel again nor will I refer it to anyone that is having a wedding at the same venue-although location was convenient-the staff was extremely unprofessional and made our family and friends feel like more of nuisances then hotel guests.

This hotel is in a great location for me work-wise and also near some great stores and restaurants but that doesn't outweigh the noise factor. I realize that room doors need to shut completely for security reasons but the doors in the hotel SLAM very loudly. Can't they be adjusted so people aren't waking up their neighbors when they get in a 1 am? Also - it would be nice if they had a conservation program. I hung my towel up thinking I could reuse it the next day. No luck - it was gone. So the next morning I left a note in the bathroom saying I would like to reuse my towel. Gone again.

Great layout of room!! Outside area was fantastic! Bar would have been great if it wasn't for all the kids playing games on a game table. Hotel should make that area "for adults only".

Our room had many scratches along the wall leading in from the door to the desk. It looked like an old room. There was an extreme amount of noise throughout the hotel all night long. It was very difficult to sleep and the noise appeared to move around. Not sure if hotel staff was addressing the issue or not. The pool was dirty with floating hairballs and other debris both on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. It was disgusting. The desk staff was asked where the ice was located and they said in the lobby and went on to the next person. Why would a guest ask for help if they knew where something was in teh lobby. I will never stay at an aloft again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Denise10 Almost a unique, trendy hotel
This is one night's experience. Room was clean, had a unique layout & features. Sound is a real issue - and that's a problem if you're staying for a good night's sleep. You hear people in the hall & people next door. My friend's husband called early in the morning & she attempted to be more quiet by going into the bathroom to quickly talk to him. She might as well as have been sitting on my bed - with it's very firm mattress. This hotel has a unique, trendy look. They got the first 90% right. Failure to successfully carry out the final 10% leaves you thinking you'll probably stay somewhere else next time.

The hotel itself was nice enough, There were some storms going on at the time so it may have had to do with that however, The Wifi connection was spotty at best. Both me and my Co-worker experiance regular network outages. So times it would be every couple of hours, you would get kicked off the network have to re enter the network code and re open what you had been wokring on. Other times it was every 5 mins. This was very frustrating while trying to complete assignments on a deadline. Also, the cable did not work in my room on my final evening at the hotel. Also Elevators were painfully slow.

I will never stay in hotel again. I was in town on business. I found the hotel room-seedy, dirty, not maintained with scratches on the walls etc. I was in room 238. Pillow were stained and bedding. I used hand sanitizer to wipe down. On Thursday, i left room at 9:15am and when I retuned that night after 9pm-room had never been cleaned. Called and they brought bedding-but no one could make bed or clean. Around 11pm-non-stop banging occurred. I could not sleep. Reported it with no help. Another guest complained as well at front desk on Friday when I was checking out.

My complaint isnt with the staff but the other guests in the hotel. I checked in on Wed and didnt have any problems until Friday and Saturday night. Both nights after 2am people were yelling & partying in the hallways. Saturday night another guest kept trying to get into my room and was banging on my door after 2:30 in the morning. I did call the front desk to send security up. I cant imagine that I was the guest upset. I stayed on the 4th floor. Maybe one floor should be reserved for wedding guests in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by valstriptips Cool, modernist feel...
We were just there for an overnight after a wedding, As we did have a bit of time between the ceremony and the reception, the atmosphere of the lobby with comfortable seating, bar and conversation area was most welcome. We did not have time to visit the pool, spa or fitness areas. The service was commendable and Refresh area was sparkling clean with fresh food items and beverages available. Free coffee - hot and delicious. The rooms are clean and beds extremely comfortable. We would definitely book another visit at Aloft if it were an option.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Steve71 The pool is freezing cold.
The pool is freezing cold. We asked the front desk to increase the temperature and they said they couldn't. I've also stayed at the Aloft in Minneapolis and Rosemont, and they also have freezing cold pools. We complained at Rosemont as well and they couldn't fix it either. Also, we were on the 3rd floor and the halls smelled funny. The television's sound went in and out. Overall we are not very impressed with the Aloft chain, and probably won't book another night with any of these hotels, which is a shame because they are in convenient locations.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Karebare84 Poor Service, Lack of Cleanliness
My husband and I stayed during the holidays for 3 nights. We returned to our room on Day 2 to find that the room had not been cleaned at all. We asked for a clean set of towels and only one towel was provided and when we requested a second it was not brought at all. When we returned to the room on Day 3 there was a made bed and clean towels, but the sink and shower were untouched. Overall I was not impressed with the service from the hotel and would not recommend staying here. On a positive note, the work out facilities were nice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jauchka A Little lacking Compared to Other Alofts
The facility needs a little help to be on par with other Aloft properties. The gym was especially lacking equipment and accessories that can be found elsewhere. The elevator is super slow and a large percentage of the rooms are a complete hike from it.

My niece had a block of rooms for her wedding.
My family of 4 was to have 2 queen size beds.
I booked this room 2 months in advanced and when we went to check in they said there was a mistake and all they had was a king size bed(which it was not a true king size). Then I find out that the same thing happen to about 5 other family's.that had booked rooms that were at the wedding They even screwed up the BRIDE AND GROOMS room!! .After a great and long day it was not a good night sleep sharing 1 bed with 4 people in it.!!!!
