Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice hotel This hotel has always been my favorite near Apple and accommodating to handicapped people. Staff is friendly and cheerful. June 1, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Hotel The verdict for this hotel is a split decision - the good news first - the hubby LOVED this hotel. It is clean, sleek, very contemporary in design with F-R-E-E parking. Oh and the best plus of all - quiet! If you're looking for a very nice place to stay with good help, a "butlr" (R2D2 knockoff robot delivering your what-nots and ready-to-eat snackies - NOTE: EVERYONE gives up the right-of-way to the "butlr") and a small gym Goldilocks would call "just right", than this is the place for you! The bar actually lights up in neon colors (not above the bar, the ACTUAL bar), the elevators and public restrooms are decked out in nightclub lighting (purple mood lighting) - for my husband, it was the bomb. Perched on the edge of the Apple Corporation world headquarters campus, this is a mostly businessman's hotel in Cupertino, California. Because our stay was on the long Memorial Day holiday, it was mostly quiet, almost dead - but just what the doctor ordered if you want a quiet weekend away. For me, this hotel was just meh. I like my hotels to be a little plushy, a little room service and a little luxury. I got the impression that this hotel must (must) have been designed by men. First of all - no makeup mirror. For men, this means no mirror to make sure your shave was a close shave, for women - it means no makeup mirror - and I don't like that. Additionally, there was a refrigerator, but it was in the bathroom! Who does that? It's unsanitary. I also did not appreciate the nightclub lighting in the elevators and the public restrooms, it was very dark, but oh well. Because this was a working weekend for me, I didn't have to spend that much time in the hotel room, so it was not so bad. If I was staying there in vacation mode, I probably would not be so happy. My husband and I both agree, however, that the gym really was nice and private. As for amenities, the hotel is a little off the beaten path, but there are some asian malls around and a Target convenient to the hotel. So if it is a quiet, out of the way place you are looking to get away from it all - this is your place. Not high on luxury or amenities, but will get the job done just the same. If it is luxury, plushy, cushy hotel you are looking for, think of this more as a businessman's (emphasis on the man) hotel. May 27, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Wedding Room Block completely screwed up I was working with Tina Walters for my wedding room block. She was so unresponsive and just horrid to work with. I specifically made a request for three queen bed rooms - one on one floor, the other two next to each other on another floor. When I went to check in, I got 1 king room and 2 queen.. all on separate floors. I was so unhappy with my time at the hotel. My guests were unhappy their reservation was ruined and kept saying they would NEVER recommend working with Tina or Aloft Cupertino in the future. Such a pity considering I do love the Aloft chain. Rated 3 out of 5 by Poor treatment as a Gold SPG Hotel is an average Aloft. Nothing special about it. On the plus side, they've honored my request for an early checkin, On the big minus side, checkin took more than 40 minutes as my credit card was "rejected". I called the credit card company, which denied that any attempts to use the card were rejected. The lobby staff refused to talk to the credit card company. I ended up making a $25 deposit, which was returned to me at checkout. Besides the obvious incompetence of the staff, I didn't feel welcome in anyway. Just an unexpected experience. May 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Service for a Great Stay Each Week As a business traveler I find my self in the bay area most weeks. Though most hotels in the area focus on raising their prices to meet the market while maintaining simple comfort and amenities, the aloft in Cupertino takes their dedication further than the rest. The staff is responsive to every need and friendly. It's always a warm welcome to see Teresa and Austin waiting at the front desk to greet us with a warm welcome and remembering me and my colleagues every time. They truly help to make this stay more like a home and less like a hostel for consultants to endure their travels. The bar staff is always enchanting and ensures that we can relax after a long day. But most of all the rooms are comfortable, clean, modern, and well furnished so that every stay is wonderful and recharges you for the next day. Thanks to the staff and management this hotel is one that I actually look forward to checking in each week. April 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great place to stay for a second home I love staying at this Aloft property as the staff as been very welcoming and helpful. It starts with the amazing staff at the front desk with Teresa and Austin and then extends out to the awesome Wxyz bar staff. For someone that travels almost every week, they have made this place feel very homey away from home. They know how to treat their guests and I look forward to staying here more and more. Checking in is as easy and simple as possible. The bar is always fun to hang out at and also has a pool table which I love. The rooms are always clean and equipped with good wifi plus apple TV's. Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing staff! When your boss tells you that you need to live across the country for 5 months, you're not pleased. Long workdays, being away from home, and not knowing anyone for such a long time is rough. Being at the Aloft Cupertino, however, made that time as best as it could have been. Rooms: The rooms were nice and clean, and didn't feel like a regular hotel room because of the decor and style. The bathrooms have lovely showers, and there are dispensers for shampoo/conditioner and bath gel, which I liked better than the little bottles that most hotels give out. The beds are super comfortable, and they have Apple TVs in all of the rooms, which was really great. Pool: They have one. I used it once, and it was nice. Robot: Yes, they have a robot. Botlr. He's adorable. If you get (smaller) items delivered to your room, it's quite possible that they will send the robot to deliver them. It's cute and fast, and forgetting your toothbrush has never been so fun. Gym: I just used the treadmills, and they were nice. It was never crowded when I was there. Bar: Amazing. The food is really yummy, and I didn't get tired of the options even after 5 months. The wines were tasty, and the bar itself is fun-looking. They have a bunch of TVs as well. And the bar is the focal point of the hotel - they have happy hours, and events throughout the week. I happened to be there for a few of their bigger nights, and they had great music and DJs. I miss this bar, and I live in NYC. Staff: The staff here is by far, the most wonderful and delightful people that I have come across in my years of business travel. The front desk staff is great, especial Teresa - she helped me get great rooms, helped me get a better rate, and booked me a room at the last minute when the hotel was full and I had forgot to book my next stay. Everyone that I dealt with at the front desk was friendly, helpful, and real. I felt like I knew so many of them, and they were always available to chat. I managed to get to know the bar staff very well (side effect of living in a hotel), and I heart them all. Doug, the food and beverage director, is great at his job, kind, and is a great and hilarious presence to be around. It's very apparent that he cares about each and every of his employees, and that they all respect him as well. Jessica, Alicia, and Rob were also amazing bartenders - they knew my drink preferences and my name, and got to know me over time. They became friends by the end of my stay, and it was so great to get to know them. You should stay here :) April 14, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Terrific service and room I recently visited this aLoft hotel for the first time and was very impressed! The room size and layout worked well and was quite comfortable, the Apple TV in the room was a nice added benefit and the staff was exceptional! Aileen Ryan at the front desk had one of the best attitudes I have ever encountered. Aileen was also very helpful and friendly, which really made my day. Thank you for a job well done! March 10, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great place The hotel is close to the Apple headquarters. But besides that it's close to everything else in Cupertino as well and you can reach the mountains and the highway pretty quick. March 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by The place to stay when visiting San Jose I have been to this hotel a few times and for the past two years on New Years Eve for the party. Always a good time, hotel is nice and comfy, staff always has a smile and willing to help. Ive never ate the food nut the drinks are pretty good. Overall I love it. March 5, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Pet Friendly Hotel! I loved my stay here at Aloft Cupertino! My primary reason for choosing this hotel is because they have a great pet policy and there is no charge. We were not quarantined to designated "pet rooms" and the robot even bought us dog bowls up to the room! My 2nd reason was that as a SPG member, I am loyal to the Starwood Brand as I find that they have the best beds and best pet policies. The staff at Aloft Cupertino was great- helpful and accommodating! I forget the name of the lady that checked us in, but I stayed from Feb 13-15. I think her name is Theresa? She was awesome and even gave us a late checkout- 4pm with no extra fees! I was really impressed with the staff! I loved the room as well, it had a nice, clean and uncluttered design. It was very relaxing and comfortable. I loved the self dispensing Bliss shampoo and conditioner as well. Great concept all around for the hotel and the next time I am in town, I am definitely staying here! I have also already looked into other Aloft locations :) February 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel was very trendy The hotel exceeded all expectations. You are in the center of many attractions and great restaurants. The hotel was very clean, staff was friendly and polite. The rooms were great size even for a family of 4. Love the amenities in the room as well, no expense spared in this hotel. They also had a great bar and patio area where you can unwind.. February 5, 2015

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tricky breakfast Visited this hotel a few times. While the room is quite ok and I like their Green Choice, there are breakfast tricks you would hardly expect in a hotel of this quality level. At first check, whether your room rate includes 50% discount on breakfast buffet. Staff charge you full price if you don't ask for it. Make sure you apply your Green Choice $5 coupon 'at the time of purchase'. If you put purchases on the room and bring the coupon at check-out, you can throw it, since the staff won't accept it. Breakfast buffet is $14,50, but it only includes some of the food and beverages. The problem is no one tells you what's included and what's not, if you ask, you get different answers every morning. The most funny example is the coffee machine - some of the hot drinks it produces are included, but some not. Which are which is a mystery, it is not marked anywhere. Be alert if a staff member walks to you while eating your breakfast and asks you for your room number - you need to tell them you have already paid at the cashier for your breakfast, otherwise they simply charge you the buffet fee again on your room without checking, whether you paid or not. The conclusion - the hotel is okay to stay in, but if you don't like silly games in the morning, avoid their breakfast and eat outside. January 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Most technologically advanced hotel I chose this hotel over other major well renowned hotels in the Bay Area, because of its technologically advanced approach. You can unlock the door of your room and the elevator with you smartphone. You have fast internet, free parking, apple tv in all the rooms. Plus they have this robot that acts like a hotel representative and can bring you stuff from the front desk directly to your room. Overall, this place is amazing! January 25, 2015

Rated 2 out of 5 by Should have stayed at the Hilton When checking into the hotel, the clerk was more interested in talking to the bartender than us. There was no mention of SPG status when checking in. I'm an SPG platinum member and have been for quite a while. We were not offered the Go Green option. We were offered the free breakfast but everything on the buffet was cold both days. When cleaning the room the maid took dirty glasses from the bathroom and did not replace them. They have a robot Butler that was continuously being worked on in plain view of the guests. Overall my worst SPG experience yet. December 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Customer Service at its finest Attitude counts – particularly when the employee works in a customer service capacity. All customer service personnel should be expected to maintain a friendly, yet professional demeanor with customers and the employees here are amazing. November 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Experience Great experience. Loved the delivery robot. Never felt crowded. Room had great features especially the apple TV feature that allowed us to view our Netflix account using the large TV. I wish there was a free breakfast option included. Room service slipped up on providing some things (i.e. plastic cups) October 14, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Service not good Green choice program, hang in on door and points get credited. Two days later they insert card not eligible upon check-out. 3rd day requested cleaning, towels unchanged & plates still there. Messy! Told reception, with all smiles said yes but nothing. Rated 5 out of 5 by We love Aloft. Aloft has changed the game in hotel expectations. This place is amazing. Whenever my boyfriend and I need a weekend getaway we will go to Aloft Cupertino just for Aloft (because face it, there is not much to do in Cupertino besides business). Staff here is super friendly and always responsive. I always feel welcome here. Let's hope my upcoming stay at Aloft in SF is the same. September 11, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel doesn't recognize platinum members This hotel doesn't give recognition to platinum members. I've stayed here 3 times but the hotel hasn't once upgraded me, even when I reserved the room more than a month ago. This hotel is new and modernized, however, some areas were not thought of. For example, the end table has a hole opening so if you drop a small object, it's impossible to get it out. We couldn't use the drawers in the closet because the closet door didn't open all the way.
