China's management training program creates incredible opportunities for qualified graduates to gain invaluable project experience and assume rewarding leadership positions at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. We currently offer two types of Management Training programs: Overseas Management Training and Corporate Management Training.
The Overseas Management Training Program exposes recent foreign graduates to people, places, and practices that will provide the foundation for success throughout their career at Starwood. Trainees can choose to focus in Rooms, Food & Beverage or Culinary, under the tutelage of leaders at some of China's most successful Starwood hotels.
The Overseas Management Training Program ranges from six to 12 months depending on the discipline.
The Corporate Management Training Program is specifically tailored to recent graduates from Mainland China. Trainees concentrate in Human Resources, Revenue Management, Finance, Sales & Marketing, IT or Technical Design, guided by leaders at some of the most sought-after Starwood hotels in China.
Our trainees receive training in departmental areas through projects, task force assignments and rotational exposure. Productive feedback from managers, supervisors and peers helps each trainee develop his/her expertise and leadership skills and positions them for growth opportunities down the road.
At the completion of training, each participant is placed into an assistant manager, manager or equivalent position, usually at a new hotel where they can further their career development.
The length of training ranges from 12 to 18 months depending on the discipline. We recruit management trainees September through November each year. Please visit the China Management Training Program for more details.
