India’s premier contemporary boutique hotel, The Park Bangalore is a dynamic hub and meeting place in this fast-growing, high-tech city. A clever mix of modern design and Indian accents, the hotel perfectly reflects its setting—the city’s most exciting upscale retail district. Each of the four floors showcases a unique design and colour scheme, crowned by the top-floor luxury residential area and private lounge, which rewards its guests with sumptuous style and what hotelier Priya Paul calls “white glove service without the gloves.”
MADE BY ORIGINALS
It took a devoted art collector and design aficionado to revolutionize India’s hotel industry. Priya Paul, the chairperson of Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels in India, tapped into her strong artistic sensibility and educational experiences in the West to create India’s first and only collection of contemporary luxury boutique hotels. Studying at both Wellesley College and Harvard Business School in the United States, Paul has won many hospitality awards, including honours for incorporating art and high-function design into her hotels.
ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN
The visionary Conran & Partners of London have created a bold international look at The Park Bangalore, yet one with ethnic Indian roots. Seamlessly balancing modern and local elements, Sir Terence Conran presents black Indian columns, four-poster beds, polished marble floors, and balcony furniture that echoes the room’s interior colour scheme—all creating a retreat from the bustle of downtown Bangalore.
